Personally, I think Julie Plec should ask herself if it's worth getting TVD canceled just to have Stefan and Elena together? She needs to think about whether or not she wants the show to continue at this point, or maybe she already knows its done and she is setting up her Twilight ending? JMO

I need more information, more background, more organic reasons to believe what is occurring on screen... It can't just be all hot guys with no shirts and broody looks, you know!

Oh, and let's not forget that Klaus can take over a person's body (Alaric) but that has never happened before or since, and it was never explained. Seriously, Julie Plec, seriously? Please start making your storylines organic instead of being filled with convenient plot devices... I mean, I LOVE Vampire Diaries, love it...but I don't want it to lose the reasons I fell in love back in Season 1. I fear the show will end up as Supernatural did for me after Season 4 or 5... I still love the boys but it's "magic" disappeared. I end up comparing VD to Twilight a lot and, one of the main differences I see is that the supernatural elements and vampire lore are MUCH better explained in Twilight. I mean, I'm just supposed to accept that Mama Original somehow had a spell to turn her kids into vampires but then the blood drinking and all those supernatural abilities just occurred?

Totally agree with the reviewer in every way. I don't even remember why they want to kill the Originals anymore. They don't really seem to be bothering anyone anymore...Klaus has left them alone, no one is in danger (except for Elena, who used to be a "human blood bag" but that hasn't been explored for a while)... Also, out of nowhere Sage loves Finn (who I couldn't care less about)?! And, finally, where do these supernatural abilities pop up out of nowhere...Damon and Katherine can go into dreams, Sage can project mental pictures a la Renesmee in Twilight... what on earth?! How did they acquire these abilities and why do they only come up when needed for plot development?
Come on, Julie Plec, I love this show and it's way too soon for you too "jump the shark". We need the Season 1 and 2 magic back. I can only be lured to the TV by Ian Somerhalder for so long....
Finally, I agree with the commenter that said the hiatuses have made the show feel choppy...

Yay! LOVED this episode! It was a total breakthrough! I no longer feel the need to watch another hour of Vampire Diaries. Turned it off right after Abby bit Jamie. Knew it would happen the minute I saw him chopping wood. And the promised sex sandwich. And Stefan slurping up blood bags over the sink? And the Alaric murderer jokes - he actually killed real people and it's vaguely amusing? This show used to be fun for me. Now it's lost any center it pretended to have. There isn't one character I care about. It's all good! Free at last! Ok. Now over to Mad Men.

I've enjoyed this episode.
1) I loved all Damon's scenes, his scene with Elena when he told her that he forced Stefan to drink the girl's blood because he need to learn how to controle him self, his plan with Sage who I knew that she will betray him for the sake of her OTL Finn and him showing Stefan the Wickery Bridge sign I've start screaming and laughing from joy. :)
2) It was nice to see Alarick's dark side, it was an awesome (unexpected) scene.
3) I loved how Stefan stopped him self from turning into a ripper because of his love to Elena.

I hate that some people(aka Bored Now and Vampbarbie) make statements as if they're fact and speak like they know the entire "loyal" fanbase of this show. Why tell us what we should feel or think about this season? We deliver our opinions just like you, why try to force your opinions on us?
Quick question, you two were part of the boycott right? So did you actually not watch the episode and downloaded it after or couldn't TVD filled thursday evening?
Jenna

And another fail for the sour grapes who waste their time dissing vampire diaries. They were supposedly going to boycott this episode, yet this episode had even more viewers than the previous one lol. Even Bored Now seemed to watch the episode, after he/she was all aboard the boycott express, guess TVD is so annoying that it needs to annoy you guys every thursday :)

The Sage storyline was forced and unnatural, and it just made Rebekah look pathetic after all the strength and depth they gave her.
Having Abby leave after all that felt like a cop out. Bringing her in was pretty much pointless.
I also don't like how they have magically turned Damon back into his old self. Stefan is just getting on my nerves, and so is Elena for going back to him. She is the only character in this show who is still the same as she was at the beginning of the series, and has remained that way throughout the ENTIRE three seasons. It's a little irritating that the main character is the only one who doesn't change.
Really?
March 24th, 2012 1:58 PM
Wow. Another ridiculous episode. Not interested in the Sage storyline at all. Hopefully she and Finn can live happily ever after...offscreen. Tired of seeing Stefan OD'ing on blood. We get it. He can't control himself. Elena calling to ask Bonnie for a favor was predictable. "Bonnie, I know that I've ruined your life and shouldn't have put Elijah's living death before Abby's, but could you just get over it and help Alaric? It's very important that all the men devoted to me stay alive". And the writers giving all of Bonnie's potential scenes to Caroline sucked even more. We got to see Caroline bonding with Abby. Caroline lecturing Jamie. Caroline dealing with Elena on Bonnie's behalf. Can't the writers actually hire someone who gives a crap bout Bonnie's character? Maybe Kat Graham should follow Matt Davis' lead and find a show that actually gives her better screen time.

Rebekah's character is totally ruined. She was gonna LEAVE Klaus, KNOWING the consequences, for STEFAN. There was sooo much potential for Stebekah. Their backstory and chemistry all wasted. Remember that Rebekah is an original and for her to feel the way she did about Stefan knowing ALL the countless bachelors she's met is saying a lot. She was gonna abandon Klaus for him.
SO TRUE! And another great example of a good storyline just being ignored / forgotten by the writers :-(
Until last year I couldn't wait for the next episode of TVD. But now it's just like "Yeah, well, you can also see it later..." I don't get it. What went wrong? It's all like a big puzzle missing the most important pieces.

The hiatuses ate annoying. The show has become choppy.
TVD has lost the one liner dialog that made season 2 fresh.
Candice Accola needs to be used more or she may get
Recruited into Kevin Williamson's show on Fox.

This show is slowly swimming into jumping the shark territory, that is bad considering it's only in it's third season. The writing is terrible, there is Elena constant whining about how her life if bad even though you have two men who killed your best friend's mother to protect you. Damon moping around, throwing temper tantrums, Stefan was good up until Dangerous Liaisons, now he is going back to being boring. Caroline, is the only character that has had some good plot lines. The others are just getting scraps, for example Bonnie, this character has so much potential with the whole witch mythology and teenage girl aspect but the writers piss on it every single episodes. I have come learn that whatever comes out of Julie plec's mouth is just complete crap. Now I do not want compare shows, but look at Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the show is called Buffy, but all the characters have had their time to shine and good character development that kept people interested. Here it's obvious that if

yes, i've always liked the character of Elena but come on girl, why don't you brow beat the crap out of Stefan and Damon? Okay they deserve it some but like Kyra said, good points Kyra, never try changing what you fell in love with. Stefan is self-persecuting enough. And Damon can be, but yeah i want that bumper sticker too. Elena needs to pick one and I really don't know who I want it to be, maybe Damon because he needs love. Everyone has always loved Stefan, give Damon some love. I really felt for Elena in the scene with Boring Jeremy. Yep the Sage and Rebekah thing, very shaky indeed. I love you Alaric, hot teach.

There`s so much i would like to ask Julie Plec. After a strong season 2 i feel a little ripped apart. And i really ask myself what felt wrong. First, i really love the brotherly bonding and development in season 3. And we saw really strong episodes and also a few bad. "Ghost world" was one of the bad ones. "The reckoning" one of the perfect ones. So what felt wrong. First as a "Damon/Stefan" shipper Elena really got on my nerves. Ok, she`s 18 but acting like stupid girl didn`t suit her very well. She love both, but for me she treat both like crap. Damon is also kind of her soulmate and he`s the perfect match for her "Katherine-side". Stefan is matching her dream of this sweet perfect love. But it`s annoying me that she always want to change both. First duty of true love : never try changing what you fell in love with..She loves vampires, FACT! So deal with it girl or start dating humans. The triangle was interesting before
