um why? so how does this make sense to you exactly? For the past few episodes, the show revolves around killing klaus and then suddenly out of the blue, elena will have a flashback about her adoptive parents dying and jenna coming back? Csn you please explain to me in an APPROPRIATE LOGICAL FASHION why is this flashback irrelevant? Or you Elenatards really dont know what cohesive writing is or you just care about what will happen to DE/SE. From the way you're talking, clearly it doesn't really matter to you, if the storyline makes sense or not. Don't give me this is a fantasy show crap, because it's still a story it should have some logical sequential events in order to for this show to be even considered having good writing.
But basically, they producers and actors get paid for their show not being cancelled due to amount of viewers so if people who hate the show keep watching it, you're only helping the cause.
Hence stuff that is badly written will either get better or get canceled and put out of its misery. Hence, criticism is a win/win situation.
Lack of fanbase criticism allowed stuff like Heroes keep running itself into the groupd for 3 more years than that show should have ran.

Yep, I respect Brett Mathews way too much to not stick with the show till finale. The guy wronte one of best Firefly episodes, HEart of Gold.
Given with the incompetent people like Plec controling it all, I DO NOT expect anything good, I respect him enough to stick with the show till his episode.
