Did you not see the person starting the argument with insults? She had it coming, and we basically admitted that our posts give out a harsh tone. When you're dumb and provoke the argument then the rudeness pretty much comes out

So saying someone has "low standards" and making fun of a typo isn't rude, taking into consideration all of the other things you guys have said? Not to mention the general tone of your posts.
Anyways, I'm interested to see the season finale and I'm starting to think there's more to it than this spoiler is giving. It's TVD after all, something's bound to happen.
Also, don't bother trolling my post, I've said what I wanted, no need to come back on this page.

LOL, we know it is just a show, however, it does not mean that what they show on the tv screen is right. So you can watch an episode and forget about it all the next day, but what about those teenage girls who watch it and "look up" to Elena? Ok, and wow, how is it ok for a girl not to show any emotions after she has had a stalker and has been kidnapped?! And if I remember correctly, Elena was all smiles and flirting with Damon in the..... 3rd episode this season...as in only a few months since the tragic events of s2!!!!
I'm trying to be civil but you obviously just want to argue. I still love this show despite it's flaws and you don't. That's okay. I'm not going to fight with a complete stranger about it.
However, I think everyone can step back and remember that this is a tv show and meant to be enjoyed
However, I also think you have low standards if you want to tolerate this trainwreck. It's disappointing to see a good show go to waste because of poor incoherent writing, because of retcon filled plotlines.
Btw, Kitty is not LOOSE, he's a guy hello? Learn to spell before you act like a smartass, otherwise you're setting yourself up to be a LULcow of this forum. Oh, wait, you already are.
That's so funny, the assumption and stereotype that every rude bully you see online is hiding behind a screen, who's to say we aren't like this offline? And most arguments lead to at least one person being rude especially if you provoke it. I have yet to see any name calling or harassment, welcome to the reality of an argument.

It's not. But there's a difference between discussing differences civily and being rude. Just because you can hide behind a screen name doesn't give anyone the right to be mean.
You don't need to criticise every sentence I'm writing. I get it, we don't share an opinion. I don't need confirmation for my opinion, I just wanted to make you see why other people don't have a problem with Elena's character. Also, let's not be megalomanic and relate me saying that I accept a TV show's flaw to the Berlin wall. That's a whole different situation.
But you're asking for it though, but unfortunately your points are fallacious. The only reason you people can relate to Elena is because she's as bland as you are. oh btw, your Berlin wall got owned.
The protagonist represents the show, if the character is ridiculous than she will ruin our perception of the show

I'm beginning to think this site needs moderators....
speaking of telling Jeremy all about her problems, why the fuck did she not tell him to take off his ring? Hahaha more plot hole writing. Yeah watching someone grieve gets boring, but you know what else is boring? Using the same dull expression during every situation and being involved on some triangle that died two seasons ago. Are you serious? They don't need to display anything that's irrelevant to vampires? You know how many episodes there are where not a single character will flash out their fangs? Sometimes I forget Caroline is even a vampire because all she does lately is stick around for triangles and support. And let's not pretend that half the viewers are only watching for eye candy and not the supercraptural plots
This is a show about vampires and supernatural beings and romance. It's not about grief and emotions. Hence the show mentioning how sad Elena was after Stefan left and Jenna died. They don't need to display that.
So you just agreed that this show wants to be twilight instead of respectable work of fiction that develops its lead characters? good.
Yes, Elena mourning and crying and visiting the graves disappears after 4 episode because people get bored of that.People don't want to see sad Elena all the time. People also don't want to hear about those parents we have absolutely no relation to every episode.
argumentum ad populum.
We can't change the show so we might as well accept its flaws and just get over it.
Sorry, but thats not how opinions and taste works.
By that logic there should be no revolutions in the world, Berlin wall would be till standing. Intelligent part of society rejects the things that are opposite of "tasteful" and promotes the "tasteful". Thats how culture, art, fiction, etc, works. Criticism is a normal part of that.
