The season finale of Criminal Minds just got a whole lot prettier. And a whole lot bad ass-ier.

According to TV Line, who spoke to Tricia Helfer on the red carpet of Saturday night's Genesis Awards, the former Battlestar Galactica star will appear on the season 7 finale of Criminal Minds as a "bad character."

That's all we know at the moment, although CBS released a spoiler-filled press release last week that teased the Criminal Minds season finale and revealed it will center on a member of the team being taken hostage inside a bank.

This May 16 installment will also mark the final one for Paget Brewster as Emily Prentiss.
