Bones Season Finale Spoilers: Brennan Framed For Murder?

by at . Comments

Bones is all-new this evening with "The Warrior in the Wuss."

After that, only three more episodes remain in Season 7.

While fans already know there will be a Bones Season 8 next fall, the current campaign may end on a dark note with the return of evil genius Christopher Pelant and the fallout from his case.

Fox has released the official synopses for the final thee episodes of the season, including a finale that features a surprise twist as Brennan herself may be implicated in more of Pelant's crimes.

What will this mean for the future of the Jeffersonian? Who is Brennan's mystery friend? Read on for a week-by-week rundown of the rest of the season and share your theories and comments with us below:

Seeley Booth and Temperance Brennan

Monday, April 30: “The Family in the Feud”
After a corpse is found in the middle of the woods, the Jeffersonian team links the victim to two families that have been feuding for almost a century. Brennan and Booth discover that the victim only had weeks to live before he was brutally murdered, and a family member with a shocking confession brings them closer to finding a motive. Meanwhile, Brennan has difficulty accepting her father Max’s (guest star Ryan O’Neal) offer to babysit Christine.

Monday, May 7: “The Suit on the Set”
Brennan and Booth head out to Los Angeles to consult on the production of “Bone of Contention,” a film based on Brennan’s latest book and the work of the Jeffersonian team. While on set, Brennan intervenes after finding flaws with the actors’ performances, not to mention the film’s total disregard for science. Then she discovers that the prop cadaver being used is an actual murder victim, forcing her and Booth to launch an investigation that has real-world consequences in the land of make-believe. Meanwhile, Booth is offered a job on the studio lot, and embarrassing information is revealed about Cam’s past.

Monday, May 14: “The Past in the Present”
Ryan O’Neal guest stars again in the season finale. Evil tech genius Christopher Pelant (guest star Andrew Leeds), a suspect in a previous case Brennan and Booth handled, is back in court on appeal. Knowing what he is capable of, Brennan and Booth inform the judge that he is a suspect in two murder cases. Then, Brennan and Booth are called to the scene of a new murder. After determining the victim is Brennan’s friend, who also is linked to Pelant, the Jeffersonian team works to prove he is guilty once and for all. But when law enforcement examines the team’s findings, key pieces of evidence are tied to Brennan and suspicion falls on her.

The sexual tension bit has been done to death. I,for one am very very satisfied with the new scenario, B&B&baby. What I need to see however is a bit of sexual heat between Booth and Brennan, and a bit more action in the apprehension of the suspects --- that would make this show perfect.

I agree with Pauline, I think its Hannah too. Which makes me heart sick, but she did just kind of vanish this whole season. Not only that, but Brennan doesn't have a lot of 'friends'. I'm interested to see where they are taking this show.

I don’t like the idea that Brennan will be set up as a possible murder suspect. But here is my thought on the subject. I think Brennan friend is Hannah.
Hannah is a reporter and maybe she was doing a story on Pelant and he kills her and frame Brennan for it.
Brennan team at the lab and Booth can’t work on the case because of conflict of interest so Brennan goes to jail.
I think the much hype epic last shoot that Bones creator Hart has been speaking about is Brennan and her Dad driving away leaving baby Christina with daddy Booth.
This is just my theory, since the episode is entitled The Past in the Present.

What's your problem people? Are you that needy that you must watch Booth and Bones go through all that awkwardness of going out to dinner to some fancy place all be all lovey-dovey?! That's so not them! I can't imagine them going out for Valentines day unless they're going to the movies to watch a thriller or horror movie. Thanks writers; you did it for the best. Let them get home from work and spend time with that beautiful baby girl of theirs :)

I agree with you Lee - It really did bug me how we once again got ripped off on seeing Booth and Bones actually romance each other and have the writers let us in on the progression of their relationship AFTER sleeping together. It's like the producers figure we wld be happy enough that they finally "did it" and that was all we cared about. NOT TRUE BONES WRITERS!! I want the DRAMA back too! It's become boring with everyone safe all the time, no injuries or danger. Booth has been limited to a glorified pencil pusher rather than the daring risky agent we grew to love in Seasons 1-4. It's all Fluff now. :-(

Is it just me, or are other watchers disappointed that Booth and Brennan are
already living together, when the never actually had a date. They may have had a one night stand, but to jump into a permanent living arrangement,
makes me crazy. Especially since Brennan is usually rude and condesending to
Seely.
Any thoughts

Really? this is recycled material, i mean setting Bones up to be a suspect, it happened in Season 1 ep 19, "the man in the Morgue". there she was set up by a voodoo priest to look like she killed her colleague. and then in the grave digger case she was suspected of stealing the evidence which Hodgins stole. point is there were already a couple of occasions where Brennan was a suspect in this and that. not to mention Booth dream sequence when he was having brain surgery. it was imaginary but still. i wish they would come up with something new. but maybe they will kick up the tension and stakes enough to over shadow the repetition, it will be hard to do since does anyone really believe that B&B will loose?

Bones Quotes

You look beautiful.

Brennan [to Samantha]

Bones: You reconstruct the faces of murder victims as well as anyone in this country.
Angela: That's the most depressing thing that anybody has ever said to me.
Bones: I thought it was a compliment.
