Greatly enjoyed the episode. However, I think AltLincoln's family should have a say about Lincoln Lee just stepping into their universe. How does that work? AltLincoln is dead. NewLincoln just can't take over his job, benefits, & relationships like he wasn't. Does he just take over his apartment lease, driver's license and banking accounts, too? Personally, I think it's insensitive to suggest one can step in for the other. Remember how all this started - with Walter trying the very same thing with Peter? It may be the balance that the universe is leaning towards. But, IMO, it was the AltLincoln personality that felt more right in the scheme of things.
Help! I need clarification. Why did the shapeshifter have a different appearance in the end? Did Fringe Division approve the killing of AltNina's employee just to gain access? How cold-blooded. What is the guy's name and what is his real face? I'm confused!
It was alright. The shifter device was gross. Some good scenes between the Lincolns and all 3. The case was boring besides Fringe team turning the tables on Jones.
So upset about AltLincoln, I mean to me he was the real Lincoln, cute, confident, and I loved Alt-Livia and him together. This season's 'real' Lincoln doesn't even come close to comparing to me. I would have rather seen Peter go over to the other side since he could have debriefed them on Jones and seen AltLincoln, AltLivia, and Peter interact.
Gah, I'm seriously pissed they did this. I love the alternate universe, but I really want them to wrap up Peter's being erased from existence SL, because I'm still wondering if the rest of the characters will remember Peter and then start to remember their old lives? Will Altlivia ever remember having a child? Since Olivia is forgetting this life more and more, will we have just wasted this entire season trying to invest in new personalities and histories of our main characters?
I will miss AltLincoln the most!
This was a great episode! The stories are coming together so perfectly. Honestly, this was the 1st time I was really interested in the alt-universe. Now, I'm very interested in seeing more of them. I was feeling a little tiny bit bad for Lincoln when he lost Olivia but now I'm so glad he's going to stay with alt-Olivia. I hope there's another season because there is so much going on that I don't want to be left hanging. Side Note, can we do something for Astrid? She's such an underdeveloped character. The girl's only got 1 episode in 4 yrs.

This is not Felicity or Greys Anatomy. This seems to like the last season of Lost, where the concentrated so hard on relationships they forgot the had a story to end properly.
I actually kinda agree with BigBopChip. They should get back to the overall plot and not get bogged down with the relationships. I admit it was good to see Peter and Olivia back together but lets get back to the cases. The first and second seasons eps. had it just right, with character development, cases, and overall plot growing apace.
Another splendid episode! The interaction between the two universes always seem to feel like Fringe's finest moments.
YES, Alt-Broyles must be a shape-shifter! And, finally, the evil Alt-Nina is (hopefully) brought to task for her duplicity.
And, yeah, neb8fan, that definitely looked like an umbilical cord to me, too. Too creepy!
The glyphs spelled out "Dream". Now, with the title of last weeks' episode, "Nothing As It Seems", I wonder what Fringe has in store for us. The title this week, "Everything In Its Right Place" certainly seemed apropo, like it was a resetting of things, to leave (our) Lincoln where he is supposed to be. Perhaps, like Peter, he has now found "his" Olivia.
1. Good episode! It was a relief to get away from Olivia, Peter, and Walter. The writers have mucked up their characters beyond recovery. RIP.
2. We don't know that Canaan was the first, only that he was one of the earliest human shapeshifters. Do we have any idea why Jones switched to humans? Easier/cheaper?
3. Sorry, but I think desperate, lonely Lincoln1 stepping into Lincoln2's shoes is nothing short of creepy. If this was 2 years after Lincoln2's death, or if Lincoln2 was still around, it wouldn't bother me, but stepping in as a sort of rebound for himself ... Ew!
4. What was up with Nina2? She looked like a broken doll.
5. I hope we spend next week in Walternateland, seeing how Broyles-the-shapeshifter (I'm guessing he is, although he could be cooperating with Jones for motives of which we're not yet aware) scrambles to stop the unraveling of Jones' evil plans.
Anna Torv and Seth Gabel were simply amazing tonight. It was a great episode.
