I had hoped that, with the success of GoT first season, HBO would expand beyond the ten episodes. Surely as the books get thicker and thicker they can't keep this up. We're losing too much of the finer details.

The beginning of Arya's story in book two was also somewhat included in the end of season one - basically, the introduction of her with the Night's Watch/Yoren, and the beginning of their journey north.

I love that there are two reviews happening. I have read all five books published. However, I started reading them after viewing the first season of this show. So after being a fan first of the series, and THEN the books it is interesting to see these two reviews. I love the show and the books as two seperate entities. I know the show will never truly live up to everything the books encompase, but it gives it a good run! The show is truly amazing, as are all the characters, and the writers, etc. for keeping the show as true as they can to the novels. Great job here! I will definatley come back every week.

"Why were they walking across the Red Waste?"
Because they had to escape all the other Khal's...so they needed to take a path no one takes.
