Thank you for setting me free.

With those texted words, Blair officially bid farewell to her marriage on last night's Gossip Girl ... and to Chuck, at least for the near future. Despite his payment of her dowry, she embracing her freedom by dating Dan.

Publicly, starting next week.

In the sneak preview clip below, Blair's going all out as she proclaims to the UES world that she's back on the social scene and that Humphrey, of all people, is by her side. This is one elaborate debut as a couple.

Here's your first glimpse of "Salon of the Dead" ...

What roadblocks to you anticipate await the happy couple during their coming out party (it's Gossip Girl, you know there will be some)? Do you think Blair's overcompensating for something or trying too hard?

Tell us below. Meanwhile, Lola lands the audition of a lifetime, but Gossip Girl may have other plans for the latest It Girl. Speaking of S, she and Diana square off over secrets they would prefer remain secrets.

Finally, Lily and Rufus continue to disagree over the best way to handle the Ivy situation that confounds and divides them. Here's the CW's promo from last night if you missed it:

Dair is an unfortunate couple: they are great characters with a strong intelectual connection but no chemistry at all!!!
B used to glow with Chuck, there were fireworks when they where together: does anyone remember the famous 'limo scene'? Dair's elevator scene has nothing to do with that, it cannot even be compared

Seriously if I wasn't an happy Dair fan, I would ship Dan/Dorota...the three of them are adorable together anyway! :))

@ ms.m : could you develop or find the "mathematical breakdown of the GG ratings to show exactly why Dair wasn't to blame for ratings" ...I could really use it !!

I think I'm going to stop watching this show, it used to be my favorite but it's getting boring, especially the dair relationship...boring..... and what about chuck??he's not himself anymore, where is his pride???? really??? I'm not going to waste my time on this show anymore, I'd rather watch something else monday evening

LOL @Kate... it's the thought that counts, not how much one spends. Dan loves Blair way more than Chuck does, Ed Westwick even admitted it himself. DB belong together!

Ah I wish Eva would come back, Chuck deserves to be happy too and he really didn't deserve all that came his way lately.. still can't get over how nice was to both dan and blair and he got so screwed :((

Dan and Blair make me want to vomit. If season one, or even four Blair saw herself she would have a heart attack. They feel so forced, and, realistically, how was she happy with the pathetic "princess" scenario Dan created for her? If it were Chuck pre-dowry paying, he would have bought her a real tiara. And probably a castle. GO CHAIR! :)

what i'm *most* excited about is the fact that Lola, Nate, Chuck, and Serena will crash the Dair 'we're a couple' party. regardless of what couple you ship, that's entertaining. i expect lots of awkwardness for everyone. AND drinking. i also REALLY want to see a Chuck/Nate convo where Chucks like 'Nate, why can't you keep your mouth shut?' i predict Lola will go to the party to 'find' gossip girl...Nate will follow her to the party with Chuck thinking they're on the heels of the real/fake Gossip Girl. Serena will be there to 'cover' the party? maybe give Dair her 'blessing' but not really mean it. who knows? i'm just happy to have them all at a party, interacting :::fingers crossed:::

@ sophia - understand what your saying Dair is bad but Blair isn't a whore she's just decided to take the boring path of love - personally I think she should be alone but I don't think the writers think she is capable of being strong and independent on her own!
As for Chuck he is no saint but we love him, followed him on a path of self discovery, he understands all the wrongs he's done in the past and has tried to make up for them, his strength of character is beginning to shine through even if now and again he slips!
