Resigning from a internship? Such an obvious move, Humphrey. it would be kind of sweet if he stayed beacause he wanted to be with B, but he just stayed to watch her. So it's just pathetic. How insecure can you be, seriously?! But isn't it hilarious how every time Dan hears/sees Blair with Chuck, he looks like he's scared shit?

This episode has made me so happy feels like we're finally getting back to the shows roots. The gang together scheming and Blair realising that she was amazing all along and didn't need to change who she was, loved her for the first time this season!
I'm rooting for a chair ending they are epic, the ooze sexual chemistry and I think theyre drama is compelling viewing - they just have that classic tv couple status that no other pairing on this show will ever have, for me their history makes them stronger in the end chuck can make her happy I know it. But I don't think it will be chair this season but I do think season 6 will see our chairytale ending like its was always meant to be.
GG is back!!

FINALLY CHAIR'S BACK! Can't wait to see them back together!
I don't think we ever really saw Bart's body- that was in Chuck's imagination, when he and Blair walked by the hospital room and they covered him with the sheet. That was after he admitted he'd run away before Bart died.

LOVED the episode. Chuck and Blair were AMAZING TOGETHER and showed why we love them so much and miss them so much. THIS IS GG we want and love! I WANT MORE!! Chuck can make her happy! They are the most happy and true with each other! love them! I loved NJBC, I loved Nate and Lola but I want Nate and Serena to get back together! Nate is obviously caring for her so much! But I enjoy their friendship too! Dan can go to rome and never come back! No one cares. I loved to see everyone in one room next week, Bart, Jack, Chuck, Diana. I'm looking forward to details of their story! Loved Bart being alive but hated why Chuck had to suffer this much :((((

People what is wrong with you, why you are attacking an actress Blake Lively who plays Serena? Its role is such as it is, write by writers, and she played great. I do not understand why you kept beckoning Serena. The actress who plays Serena is one of the most talented young actresses in Hollywood, plus a beautiful as a goddess, she resolutely doing its job! The writers are the ones who have destroyed the character Serena this season, they should be denounce.

Yeah, +555 is area code for Brazil, not Portugal. Portugal is +351. And thank you Serena for stating that people in Portugal speak portuguese! That was a great fact -_-'
And Chuck bashing our football - or should I say soccer - players, yeah, Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo are two of the beast players in the world, so yeah, we're awful.
One more thing. is it true that Gossip Girl is ending next year?

I can't read half these comments--the writing is awful :(
I'm calling suicide attempt, or even completion, for the finale. If there are only going to be 13 episodes, IF we get another season, it can deal with how everyone else deals with the suicide, how it causes them to reflect on what they have done with their lives so far, and examine what they want the rest of their lives to be like.
Victim? Serena.
The writers/producers said something would happen to alter the fabric of their lives...
OK! i cannot wait to watch the next episode. I need answers. what was this brothel business? why was he hiding? and what the hell is wrong with Serena? she seems so depressed and ill. like all she wants is to run into Ryan Reynolds' arms. i miss the old Serena.

i still love gossip girl but they honestly ruined the show. it was never well thought out. dan louis chuck louis chuck dan louis chuck dan dan? its so stupid. serena is just a blob now. nate is still adorable but they give him a new girl every 5 episodes that he drools over. i just dont get it.they shoul dhave kept chuck and blair together from the moment before chucks car crash. i like dan and blair but it makes blair look so stupid and like she cant even understand her own feelings. everytime she is in a relationship (for example with chuck) she needed to feel like an "independent important women" so she dumped him! now, dan is doing something great so she needs her "swag back". i love blair but the WRITERS are ruining the show..not the actors.

OMG!I know this may sound funny but there was this tv show(A Traveller from India) few years ago in iran, where i live, and it's storyline was exactly like this!there was a rich guy who faked his own death and his son found out at the end of season.plus his son was in love with this girl everyone disapprove, and when he got in to an accident and was about to die his girlfriend made this promise with god to never see him again IF god let him live.
Ugh, it's really annoying how this cuts off your comments.
"The one-time Queen B has been a shell of herself months, though, and is a much different creature when she has her swagger. She clearly has that, as well as chemistry, with Chuck. But can he give her lasting happiness?"
This, I agree with completely. It's been depressing watching Blair turn into this whiny, mopey, self-absorbed brat she's been for most of S5, so it's about time she got some of her mojo back. In terms of lasting happiness, I think the entire point of Chuck's storyline this season is to show how much he's grown, that he's become the man she always wanted him to be. So I have no doubt that he can make her happy long-term.
What I doubt at this point, actually, is whether Blair can make him happy. She's treated him abhorrently this season, and that can't just be erased in two episodes. Of course, if Chuck can just let it go, maybe we're supposed to as well?
"Whether the Blair we saw tonight can be involved romantically with Dan for the long haul is an open question. He's been there for her all year when no one else has, and no one can take that away from him."
I take a little exception to this, actually. Not the part about Dan being there for her (of course he has, although I would argue that it hasn't done her nearly as much good as he seems to think), but the suggestion that no one else has. Other people weren't there because Blair pushed them away, not because they weren't just as loving and supportive as Dan. And I think it became quite obvious tonight why Blair's been pushing Chuck away- because the second they come into proximity again, the sparks start to fly.

Why such harsh words. I do not think actress Blake Lively plays poor the role of Serena, on the contrary. Actress Blake Lively plays a role that was written by writers, and it is their fault if the audience does not like. I think that's why the public roll-call Serena. It is the nonsense that one of the best if not the most beautiful, and very talented young actress in Hollywood, has written a story so bad this season. As for the Oscars, I think Blake could get it for her role in Elvis and Anabela or Young Pipa Li, and this is just a tv series! I think that's the point of the story about Serena. Serena this season was put aside and the audience does not like. We miss it Serena from season 1 and 2, and of course her love with Dan! These two are the cutest couple in the series! Serena is the love of his life, Dan is the love of her life!

Best episode ever. Chuck Bass dad alive . What does that mean for Lily and Rufus. Will Lilly have to go against Papa Bass. What is going on with Jack and Papa Bass. What does that mean for Chuck. Chair was amazing . Loved to see the old gang back. I was tired of the solo of the group. Loved the group plotting and scheming. I didn't even mind Lola that much. If Lola is to stay her and Serena need to make up because she is getting on my nerves. Nate and Lola not too much chemistry. Chair love them Dair boring but I understand it. Love that serena is lost and needs to find herself. Let us hope that B and S can connect again. Tired of not seeing the Loved it that is the Gossip Girl that I miss.

This episode gave me hope for chair again and is probably the best episode I've watched this season which is quite sad. I love how they brought season 1 blair back again she's been far too boring lately and i'm happy that nate finally got some lines! Unpopular opinion I know but I like lola and her relationship with nate, I think she balances him out. Personally the couples i'm hoping for in the end
Chuck and Blair
Dan and Serena (Even though dan will have to do some serious grovelling and be less of an idiot)
Nate and Lola
That for me would be my perfect ending butttt I respect other peoples opinions and ships etc so I won't criticise :)

Oops, realised now that some of my comments were cut short. To finish my comment on the moment outside the mansion: Chuck's statement about secrets and where they stand and where he touched her hand made it clear that things still are not resolved between the, and a display of how far they've come. That scene made me feel, because it was simple. Such a small moment had such an impact and was so beautiful that it showed why they became so iconic in the first place. It's a tough act to folow. Second comment cut: Nate got some attention but Dan's story line with regards to the NJBC the writers may have written themselves into a corner because he's on the outside again and it looked like he could never be part of that world. With Serena he'd fight like hell and now he rolls over; I used to love him and relate to him. Now he's simply regressed. Now I'm done :)

There is a reason Blair is with Dan right now and it's clear they are not going to remain as a couple. Dan was there when Blair needed someone the most he was a good friend and the friendship blossomed into romantic feelings however Blair does not love Dan, but Dan clearly loves Blair. I think the purpose of the two of them being together is to make Blair a stronger person and realize what she wants in life. It's clear he's made her a better person because of how he's cared for her but that's his purpose is to help her realize her full potential. I think that even after the end Dair there will always be this bond between them because of the type of relationship they had. It was honest and meaningful and easy however Blair needs to be challenged a bit and and likes to be challenged, Dan can not do that for her. They will realize this and move on and she will be with chuck but it will not end badly because they will both be thankful at what they gave eachother, a real, honest realationsh

First and foremost: ENOUGH with the shipping wars already!!! People on team Chair AND team Dair have acted really immature with this. People on BOTH sides have said they would quit watching the show if they don't get their way and all sorts of other foul things. It's a SHOW. Someone shouldn't be called an idiot or moron just because of their personal preference and opinions!
With that being said: I PREFER Dair. It's new and healthy. The back and forth between Chuck and Blair is EXHAUSTING. I personally feel to even have to make another choice after already making one is ridiculous. Enough with the who will she pick nonsense. If anything, Id rather see an end where all of the characters make it on their own but are still good friends. Their used to be wayyy more to this show than Blair's love life.
At the end of it all, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Just be respectful!

(Cont.) Furthermore, whilst Dan's decision was stupid I understand that some find it romantic but for me, it lost the romantic appeal since the way it was written made me believe he turned it down out of desperation not to lose Blair. It's not fair on either of them and it cheapens the action as well as their relationship. I felt as if warning bells were going off for the couple but hey, they may fix it. Bart being alive has been speculated for months now (as well as Diana being post-op Bart) but its essence captured the old Gossip Girl. It just depends on how this plot line is handled that can either make it great or Days of Our Lives and basing my opinion on the lack of respect and laziness of the execution of the plot lines in this season I think it's a long shot. For me, they've taken Serena too far. I've always been fascinated by her inner darkness but in season 2 they got ot right, this season she's either bipolar or needs Prozak. All in all, I liked most of it. Nate got some att

If Chuck and Blair do end up together, I saw a new type of relationship potential in tonight's episode. I see two evolved characters (especially Chuck) that might have a shot whilst still maintaining the essence of what made them great. And if that is the case, even Chair fans have to admit Dan played a part in that. Whether that's where it's going is debateable.
