Gossip Girl Sneak Peek: Song Lyrics?

by at . Comments

Things were going so well for Dan and Blair by the end of this week's Gossip Girl, but looking ahead to next Monday, it appears there's another roadblock in their path. We just don't know exactly what.

Something's amiss, however, as evidenced by this new sneak preview from "It Girl, Interrupted." As you can see, an awkwardly nervous Blair is clearly trying to give Dan the runaround despite his overtures.

What's going on that she's not revealing to him? Something tells us those aren't song lyrics on the table. Is her sham marriage to Louis about to rear its ugly head again? Or does it go beyond that?

Check out the clip and share your theories with us below ...

Well no, I disagree. Dan and Blair have been developing since season 4. Hints of a burgeoning friendship started in season 3. I refuse to think that season 5 is the only ground for Dair. I think there was plenty enough development and yes, a shortened season is enough considering they are together right now. They have had a lot of scenes together and will have plenty more if the writers choose it.
You would rather reboot two couples that have been effed up and call that logical on top of that just for the sake of wrapping up?

I do not agree with you that Serena and Dan, and Chuck and Blair a finished story. Their relationship in the series have greater importance than these few episodes of Dan and Blair. Since the end of the season is now, it is complete stupidity of the writers that are now building a new love relationship between Dan and Blair. When will it be developed. In the next season 6, which seems to be a shortened, not have time to complete the story of the series to all players. Forced to make a new pair that breaks the story in the current series at the end of the series is complete nonsense.

Yes the writers have done what they have done and if they want to retain the little bit of dignity and consistency as writers, then Chair and Derena simply cannot be the endgame. These couples are done for, have been done for a long time ago and ruined in every possible way. I say this as a former Chair fan. The writers just need to assume it and actually build the show around the scenario they have created, which has Dair together. Yet, knowing them, they won't do that and they'll be even less logical by rebooting those dead, ridiculous couples.

Sorry, slip of the pen! As this has happened in season 5, and what will happen by the end of the season, I have no illusions that in season 6 Serena and Dan, Chuck and Blair have a happy ending. I do not agree with you, I think the producers to blame for this situation in the series because they served the audience a couples. Let me be clear - the producers did not need to bind the audience for certain couples, but for the whole plot of the series. If they are focused to treat all players equally in series, now would not be such a low audiences for the series. The audience could be linked to action in the series, not for couples. However, the producers did what they did and the series is destroyed. According to the producers announced at the end of this season should draw the line, and nothing will be as it was. This is a very unfortunate move to seven season, which of course will not be.

Whether or not Chair or Derena are wrapped up, they still will not make sense in terms of what the writers wrote. Now we know the GG writers have close to no logic, so I very much expect Chair and Derena to be the endgames but it would make no sense to the consistency of the show. Chair and Derena should be tied up nicely and put in the past. I see no reason for an endgame at all. They can be resolved without that.

Sure their stories haven't ended due to the way the writers have written the show, but does that still make them eligible or good enough to be endgame?
I sincerely doubt it. I can see the appeal of having the two biggest couples of the show brought back together at the end, but in terms of characters changing, I cannot see the present Dan or the present Blair wanting to go back to their former lovers. You may argue that there was no "character progress" but only butchering of couples in order to make Dan and Blair run towards each other. I disagree. I see that they have changed and matured, regardless of their relationship with their old lovers.

Dan is not awful, but he is definitely boring. I thought Louis made Blair boring, but Dan definitely puts the icing on the cake for being boring. I agree with earlier post, Dan's expression on his face never changes. I use to sit contently and tell people not to bother me when gossip girl comes on. As of last week, I missed about 30 minutes of the show just doing other things around the house. The writers killed this show, it's not even close to what Gossip Girl use to be. Writers if you keep Dair together, please focus on the other characters more because Dair is BORING.

You do not need Chuck and Blair to chase one another, but to be together. As Serena and Dan! And what do the producers and writers do - simply destroyed their relationship. And that is progress the characters in the series?

Disagree with you. Of course that does not mean that if two characters are together at the beginning of the series do not have to end up together in the end. But the writers themselves are keeping the story of Dan and Serena 4 seasons, and Chuck and Blair 4.5 seasons. Their stories have not ended as it should be and how the audience wants. Already they have simply dispersed, and to the end of the series. So the story back in 4.5 season loses its meaning. For if the writers wanted to disperse the couples in the series each moment they have to do with Serena and Dan, as well as Chuck and Blair in previous seasons. Does not change the concept of the series in the end of the series! Producers can do whatever they want because is their series, but viewers will not watch it! As for character development in a series, of course it is necessary. But this is not the case, but that is a story about the characters in the series was destroyed (producer Safran said it). You do not need Chuck and Blair to chase one another, but to be together. As Serena and Dan! And what do the producers and writers do - simply destroyed their relationship. And that is progress the characters in the series?
