Teri Hatcher to Appear on Jane By Design, Direct Episode
Teri Hatcher has landed her first post-Desperate Housewives role.
The actress will appear on four episodes of Jane By Design this summer, coming on board the ABC Family drama as the estranged mother of Erica Dasher’s title character.
She will also direct an episode, an opportunity the actress gushed about as part of the network press release.
“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to direct. So many of the crew and cast of Desperate Housewives have been encouraging me to do this for a long time, from Vanessa Williams, James Denton, to the talented camera crew department and producers. Now that I have time, I’m excited to whole heartedly conquer new ventures.”
Hatcher will debut on Jane By Design June 15, while Desperate Housewives says goodbye on May 13. Check out the ABC promo for the penultimate episode now.

She's perfectly cast for that role. They even resemble one another.

Jane's mother left when she was very young and she and Ben have not heard from her or know where she is. Jane's Dad raised them but died recently, which is why Ben came home to take care of Jane.

Didn't ben and jane's mother die in an accident??hence the reasoning for ben to leave college and come home to take care of jane?
