@Mallorie and Dee, I DEFINITELY agree! Stefan's just so charming. Stefan isn't even the safe choice, he's the obvious and right choice. Caroline knows what's up, even she knows it. A lot can be said by who the salvatore brothers are when they both "apologized" to Bonnie. Delena's not even that great, people just want to see the "tragic" guy get love that's it. I'll be honest though, at this point Elena's just being selfish. Juggling two guys, she's such a weak person. Just bein honest.

@Dee, forgot the show has already been renewed for a 4th season - not officially though because I don't think The CW has announced any of their fall lineup. BUT The Vampire Diaries is their highest rated show so it's safe to say it's safe :)

@Dee, I completely agree. Love Damon, but he deserves to find someone who loves him for him - Elena was always trying to change him and he resented it. I don't think Stefan and Elena are boring at all, contrary to what some people say. With all the Vampire/Werewolf/Hybrid/Witch drama surrounding them I don't think their relationship needs to be equally dramatic. I love that Elena can go to Stefan with all the terrible things around her and he knows her completely and how to be there for her. He doesn't control her and he lets her make her own choices and they are a REAL couple. I don't find that boring - I find it refreshing.

Show was amazing! And I know Elena and Damon have chemistry but there is something about loving the good Guy! So Stelena all the way and let Damon find someone who loves all of him, the good and the bad and that he wouldn't need to change for. So any news on show renewal?

I never comment but this episode was amazing. It had me crying and smiling through out. I wish Alaric had died the way he intended but we all know the threat must still be there. As far as the triangle each guy brings something different but ultimately Stefan is the best choice IMO.

Cont'd... Elena feeling so alone, guilty, lost.. Nina never disappoints with her acting chops. We also forget that since Matt is leaving the show, it is more than just their emotions as actors, they are losing a friend and a coworker. I thought the episode was superb and I can't believe I have to wait a week to see the next episode. Well done Vampire Diaries, you just keep reminding me why I love your show so much :)

I haven't cried this much since last season when Jenna died. I completely agree with this being the best episode this season, and probably in the top 5 from all 3 seasons to date. The way these actors express their emotion is so moving. Not enough can be said for the talent that is on this show. I couldn't contain my tears and the lump in my throat when Alaric bravely said his goodbyes to what feels like his kids. The moment he stepped outside that tomb to see all of his family surrounding him was so touching and heartwrenching. The brief and even sarcastic back and forth him and damon had was wonderful because even through the snippy jokes, the love Damon felt for his best friend, the best bromance of the series... it was so sweet and kind.

I actually enjoy this episode quite a bit. Now I feel better knowing that Caroline will never stray to Klaus. I wish Alaric would have stay dead.

Best episode this season, by far. I found myself in tears at one point then mad the next. The whole Alaric goodbye scene was so emotional. I agree that the scene with everyone outside with the candles was so beautiful! And Julie plec said we were lucky to see that, as the network almost cut that!! What an amazing episode. I'm still reeling.
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
