Wow! Phillip even hand jessica a handicap! So sweet of him, so handsomely sweet, so...... Wonderful. I wonder next year if we get this sweet girls again. I m sure we will!
Oh yeah, I am 64 years young! YES! for Phillip Phillips!
The best part of Idol is how positive the contestants are about each other. It is so different from other competitive shows where people are nasty to one another. The judges engender this behavior by commenting on the contestants' performance and not on their appearance etc. It is always fun to watch Idol and hear nonprofessional people sing. I am continually amazed at how many talented people there are in this world. Idol continues tone a great show.
YES! Phillip is and has been dealing with the excruciating pain associated with kidney stones( I have had this on more than one occasion myself)through this whole process and he is still so very good as to win this thing, just think of what he will be able to achieve when well! Again a very BIG YES!
I am not a happy American Idol fan, anymore, I am glad that Phillip Phillips won but I thought that Scotty was going to perform since he was the last season winner and then when he got on stage to turn over the trophey to the new American Idol it is like they pushed Scotty aside, that was wrong, not happy at all about that, Why did Scotty not sing, did he not do great things while he was the american Idol?:
another commendable comment! American idol is not about singing at its best. I guess its american savvy idol or what?
Let me edit the first line of my previous comment..."American Idol is not about singing at its' best."
American Idol is now about singing at its best. One may just strum the guitar, blurt out words, hum tunes and even chant--backed by back-up singers, other musical instruments, and production effects--to generate praises from judges which could translate into votes. That's it!
Excuse you Janice ! Jessica can sing good and match any song with her voice while Phillip can only sing one type of genre in music like Scotty.
Speaking from a 3rd party perspective with no association to these events, its just a "title" and do not define any person for that matter. The most important part is the aftermath. I'm very confident both artists will be offered recording deals to starting their music careers. End of the day, its a win-win for both and good luck to them.
