Let's make one thing clear, Jessica was voted off by America, but the judges used the save to keep/bring her back into the competition. The judges save was well spent this year unlike the past years where we knew the people who got the save were not going to win! The downfall of women not winning is because I believe they are held to a higher standard and also they seemed to be over pimped!

americans almost voted jessica out only to be saved by judges almost made ai as american male models idols! The judges knew it & understands vocal talents is the name of the game. Example is colton. He is most savy and phillip is sweet innocently handsome! Later americans realise it is ai after all and jessica shot to last 2.

Well... it is an idol competition anyway. I will have to watch The Voice next year where real singing competition is taking place. Too bad for Jessica, she was at the wrong place and time.

Jessica has a much better voice and has more vocal power. while Phillip seems to struggle when he sings. All he does is make those cute faces and that is what he should have won on, cute face because his vocals are not really that incredible.

Let us not forget that Jessica was almost voted off earlier in the season, only to be saved by the judges.... She is undeniably talented, but Phillip Phillips is more relevant and relatable. The people voted....and Phillip got more votes.

I think WASP too voted jessica otherwise she could not be no 2. FOX producer probably wanted p2 to win so we get 2 potentials superstars in the making! We do need more singers of different types. Otherwise it can be boring. Theres always the WASP and us outside america and loves american music.

Just as Adam Lambert was "robbed" of victory in Season 8 at the last voting, Jessica Sanchez's winning in Season 11 somehow got "stolen away" as Simon Fuller made her accept "I have nothing" and sing "The Prayer" to "Change Nothing." Why - because FOX thinks only a WASP (White Anglo Saxon Protestant) can personify the ideals of a role model for American youth!

I felt sorry for many jessica fans who felt robbed after phillip won on a simple voice beating fantastic vocal. I felt the same as gerald was! I hope fox ppl will catergorise winner like the grammy awards and americans will get fair play awards! It should be jessica won the female ai & p2 the male ai & then fullstop

they should change the voting system. If you depend on telephone, you will only get busy tone. with computers, no problem voting hundred times. WGWG fans mostly have computers and 4g phones compared to poor blacks and latinos. COMPUTERS + 4G PHONES = WINNER.

Congratulation phillip! It was writtened in the star even though i favoured jessica. As for jessica, i hope its not the the last i hear from you. You have won the hearts of many fans outsde america. My family & friends are with you. you are the season 11 winner in our heart. Though you still need grooming because of the difficulty of perfection to the likes of witney huston & mariah carrey, you are on the way. Keep up!

Gerald, you have just let the world see what kind of class you have! Get over it, man. You are very much in a minority when it comes to assessing results. I and many of my friends voted for P2 and we are not 'horny teens' screaming anything.Unlike you, we recognize talent when it is right before us. Jessica IS very talented. There was a clear cut choice this year and to the victor go the spoils. It has nothign to do with his skin color, his nationality, his gender. If you think it did, you are the racist. It had everything to do with talent. Yes, the teen girls voted, but a lot of others who are not teens and who are not girls voted for Phillip as well. America has spoken, and you don't understand the language!

With all due respect to the great talent that is Jessica Sanchez (and she WILL do VERY well), Phillip Phillps was the right choice! He IS an artist! He IS a musician! He IS the best! He IS THE American Idol….and if more singers in the industry had his ideals, his morals, his humility and his care for his fellow human being, the industry would be MUCH better off. Did you notice that after every performance, he thanks the musicians and back-up singers before talking to the judges??? Phillip Phillips IS an IDOL! Hopefully he can make a litle difference in the music world. I predict he will be a super star! P2 is OUR AMERICAN IDOL!!
