Fox Renews Touch, Axes Alcatraz and The Finder

by at . Comments

Shortly after picking up five new shows for the 2012-2013 season, including a comedy from Mindy Kaling and a drama starring Kevin Bacon, Fox has announced a couple other fall schedule decisions:

Touch has been renewed. Alcatraz and The Finder have been canceled.

Marty and Jake

Touch, which features Kiefer Sutherland as the father of a gifted, silent boy, joins Bones and Fringe as dramas that have been picked up new seasons.

The Finder, meanwhile, will air what will now be a series finale tomorrow night.

These were really the only three shows remaining on the Fox bubble, as the network will unveil its official fall/winter schedule on Monday in New York City.

OMG. This is just so typical of "out-of-touch" tv's all about the money. I'm sure you'll make a lot more with another incredibley brain numbing reality show. Too bad no one at Fox can recognize quality. The Finder is one of the best shows I've seen in years. I can't believe it won't be's really horrible about Michael. He was perfect in that role...but I'm sure there are actors who could work into another loved character by loyal viewers. It's too good to let it go. Bring back The Finder....please!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the finder and its really upseting to find out about michael but they could work it in to the story or something like bring it balk befor mr.hotty gits a new job

no no no!!! u can't shut down The finder! the schript is so original, and seen nowhere else!!!! it's funny, and loaded with cool characters (sorry for my spelling.. long time since iv'e been writing in english)how ever, i give my best kondolences to the ones who knew michael, the great gentle giant. hope u reloade the finder!

How can you expect them to renew the Finder when Michael Clarke Duncan has passed away. There is no show without him.RiP to a great show and a wonderful man

I am so disappointed to find out that you are cancelling the Finder. I have been waiting for the new season. I will no longer be watching your network as most of your shows are pretty crappy. You cancel excellent shows but add or keep the shows that are not worth tuning in to. Listen to your viewers-bring back The Finder and you may get most of your audience back.

This is horrible decision making at its best... Alcatraz and the finder were two of my favorite shows! There are very few good shows left and they will probably be the next to go... very sad thumbs down fox

I didn't know The Finder existed until I caught an episode on Hulu the other day. That show is awesome! So disappointed you are cancelling. I think your marketing sucks, not the show! Give it another season.

What an incredibly stupid decision it is to cancel The Finder. How very disappointing to lose another great show. Please bring it back!!!

RENEW "THE FINDER"!!! It is a great show with a great cast! It's hard to believe it was cancelled in favor of some of the shows they decided to keep.

PLEASE DON'T CANCEL THE FINDER!!!! GIVE IT A FAIR CHANCE!!!! I can't believe Fox is canceling this funny and original show - the characters and storyline are interesting and it's one of the only (maybe THE only) show that does not sexualize the female teenager --- it was something my whole family could watch together!! Hate to say it but Fox will be losing our family as viewers. Bye bye Fox!!!
