Gossip Girl Promos: Welcome Back?

at . Comments

Gossip Girl dropped a mega-bombshell last night with the return of a central figure from the show's past (see our official review of "Raiders of the Lost Art" from earlier). What happens next is anyone's guess.

The promos below offer our first glimpse at "The Fugitives," next week's episode. The Canadian version contains a few snippets of Chuck's reaction to seeing Bart, though his reappearance remains a mystery.

Might he actually need Chuck's help? The hug they share at the end certainly implies it:

Elsewhere, Blair enlists Serena to be her stand-in at an important meeting when Blair finds herself needing to be in two places at the same time next week. S also admits to B that she's been acting as GG.

Meanwhile, Ivy and Lola team up to help Chuck with "a personal vendetta" (possibly connected to his father, uncle and whatever Diana is), according to the synopsis, and Nate makes a decision about the future with Diana.

How do you see it all playing out? What brought Bart back to life, and how does Diana fit in? How will B take S' news? Check out the CW promo for "The Fugitives," the last episode before the season finale, and comment below:

@zoran -- totally disagree about Lily & Rufus's marriage. Bart was legally declared dead, so his and Lily's marriage terminated and she is legally a widow who can remarry. (Actually, in most states, because she was previously divorced, her status would be "unmarried woman," not widow.) Now, that's real life. Whether GG will follow that is a whole other question.

Is it B or S sitting at the bottom of the stairs in the Waldorf`s PH? At the end of the Canadian promo

I'm totally confused about the Ivy, Lola, and Chuck team-up. Who would they all have in common? I don't see why Chuck would hold anything against Lily or Serena but maybe Diana since she did make things messy for Charlie/Ivy, Lola, and Chuck. I really don't like Lola, why do the writers always make the guest stars more sympathetic than Serena. Hasn't Serena suffered through enough? I know everyone seems to think she always gets her way, but I don't really see it that way. Nothing ever works out for her. I'm hoping Serena and Blair get some screen time and I sure hope Serena has something good on the horizon. I want her and Nate together, but I don't think that is in the cards, so I'll root for someone new. No Dan and Serena, that is too complicated, boring, and should be over.

I love when Blair told the girl HE HAS A FRIEND

It took us 3 years and now I feel GG is finally back on track again! This episode was amazing! The whole crew back in their real original charecters! Accept from Serena.. poor child. I also LOVED the dair scene, when Dan said he loves Blair and got no respond!
her heart didn't belog to someone else after all, only her mind.

Yes, marriage to Lily and Rufus is not valid because Bart is alive. And now that you get spoiled a little laughter - and that means that it opens the possibility that Serena and Dan are together at last! Nate and Serena were together only because Serena was feeling remorse to Nate. Because Nate lost his virginity to Serena. Nate is a playboy and can not be faithful to Serena! The opposite - Serena and Dan are made for each other! Their love can be compared only with the love between Chuck and Blair. SERENA IS THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, AND DAN IS THE LOVE OF HER LIFE!

i hate lola and nate after i watched last night episode...serena should fight back and make a scheme!!

hahahahahaha so this means lily and rufus arent married yay

Urg why give us dair if u are gonna make her cheat or choose chuck in the end (Ps why is lola still around we all know nate & serena are meant to be)

With each coupling of Chuck & Blair I predict the ratings will go up. The fan based dropped because we want Chair. Dair=blah

Gossip Girl Season 5 Episode 23 Quotes

Blair: That was your agent. She wants you to reconsider the program in Rome. Which is odd, because you told me they went with someone else.
Dan: Ah, well, yesterday when you ended up with Chuck I was a little nervous about leaving for the whole summer. And I know you told me there were other people there and it was not romantic, but... come on. It's Chuck.
Blair: So you lied to me.
Dan: I figured you would just think I was some jealous freak if I told the truth.
Blair: Well maybe because you are. But you don't have to be. You have nothing to worry about. Take the offer. It's an amazing opportunity and I would never stand in the way of it.
Dan: It means the entire summer apart.
Blair: But it's not like I can't come visit. Rome is just two glasses of chardonnay away.

Chuck: So the car accident was real?
Bart: I was lucky to survive it. But it wasn't an accident. I'd been threatened.
Chuck: By who?
Bart: A very powerful competitor of mine. I had information on some transactions of his that could have put him away for a very long time. But his threats didn't work.
Chuck: They had someone ram your limo with a truck? Dad, You could have gone to the police. You didn't have to—
Bart: Yes, I did. He'd made it quite clear that both you and Lily were fair game. Once I realized his threats weren't empty, the only way out was to make him think he'd already one. Once I got to the hospital tonight I figured that would be my best chance.
Chuck: So what, you just paid some doctors to switch off the machines? Hope Lily was crying so much that she wouldn't notice you were actually still breathing? What did we bury in that coffin?
Bart: Charles, I am here with you now, trying to explain.
