You are right. The ratings were dropped when the producer Safran, in season 3, break up Serena and Dan and began to experiment with Serena and Nate and Dan and Vanessa. Also, in season 3 production did not come upon of how to continue the story and the audience has dropped.

There is nothing for 7 or 8 season. These actors who are now playing in the series no longer want to do so. The only reason that they will play parts in season 6 is that they are related to the contract, which expires in the next season. So if it would increase viewership in season 6, there would not be 7 season with these actors, but would be an increased number of episodes in season 6.

and Yes CW.. gossip girl may be low in America but in other countries its popular still so don't just think about the audience in your country think internationally :D even here in Australia it's pretty big well it was.. I'm still a fan ;D

That is true! Gossip Girl is big in Philippines and in China. In fact, Philippines made their own version of Gossip Girl called Lipgloss. It got canceled though as its not even near as the original GG. In China, they will launch their own Gossip Girl version this year.

The network shouldn't just be looking at rating in the U.S but international ratings.. Rates could be low in the U.S but it could be high in other countries ... Compare it and stuff -.- get a a pro to do something like this -.- idk haha lol but I reckon once gossip girl goes back to normal there is a lucky chance that the season will go longe hopefully I mean :). Lol if they get another season haha >

Needs to increase audiences for the series, then it would be an increased number of episodes, and then it will be a full season. This does not only depend on us viewers, but rather on how the new producer will lead series, as well as how the writers will write the script. If a new producer is back to the story in season 6 as to what was in season 1 or 2 success is guaranteed. Then the ratings are sure to increase! Then maybe, I say maybe, studio will decides to increase the number of episodes in season 6.

SO NONE OF YOU THINK THAT WE SHOULD GET A WHOLE SESAON 6 AND NOT JUST 11 EPISODES???!!! BECAUSE THATS WHAT WE SHOULD GET, TO GET A GOOD CLOSURE. I MEAN COME ON? THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING IN 11 EPISODES!!!

Series should be in season 6 to come back to it as it was in season 1 or 2. Should not be to focus on one couple, but to all of them. Serena should be with Dan, from two them it all started. Who does not believe let view 01x01 episode and everything will be clear. Serena and Nate was mistake, one of the many by the producer Safran made in season 3. To the end of the series some major loving couples must be together - Serena and Dan, Chuck and Blair, Nate and Lola/Jenny, Vanessa and Scott, Lily and Rufus (not married). As well the most important - the friendship between Serena and Blair must be restored. And to return in the series - Vanessa, Jenny and Erick.

the GG site will become kinda obsolete for them as they grow up and mature. You can't really have a show called Gossip Girl where none of the characters are really even important to Gossip GIrl anymore because they grow out of being so scandalous. If we love them, we have to let them go free! I would rather have the show end than have all the characters continue to be schemers and liars who never grow up until they all self-implode.

i agree with whomever it was that said that it feels like season six is an organic stopping point for GG. Dan is probably going to get his book career rolling and start traveling a lot so he can gain experience for his work (Sidenote: DB probably only happened because Dan needed more material for a new book -ahem- Monarch of Manhattan -ahem-). Blair and Chuck are probably going to get married as a golden couple and build their family legacy in NY. Serena will figure her shit out (hopefully) or become just like her mom and marry for money. Lily and Rufus will probably work their stuff out too, but my guess is that they will decide it's time to leave the UES and NY in general for someplace more peaceful for them. Nate will probably marry Lola and she will become a stay at home mom while he turns The Spectator into a less gossip-filled more social movement-filled paper and becomes a respectable media leader....or some variant of the all of these. Then finally, as they all move on, the

Just put blair with chuck as that is where she should be and where he should be...then focus on the others. Once mama bear and papa bear of the UES have found their way then the others can aswell. Dan should be banished or atleast go back to brooklyn and stay there. I agree with the person that said that he caused so much trouble for the NJBC. Usually they punish people that do that to them. Had blair been written negatively I bet he would have been punished. That`s probably the ONLY reason he wrote B as he did...pure fear and he found a way to slither deeper into the middle of their lives. Get your own friends Dan.
