That was a terrible finale. There was no surprise in the finale, everyone knew Blair was going to choose Chuck. It seems to me that all the Bass men got their ladies. That's not fair for Dan or his dad. The directors/producers are bias towards the Humphreys!
Really this episode was the best. It felt like GG was back from a long needed wake up call. Who ever wrote this episode knew what they were doing. Lily need to stop feeling herself she really ticked me off in this episode. Out of all the stuff she went thru to get Rufus she just drops him like a hot potatoe! Come on now Lils! Serena needed to have a better ending than that. I didnt appreciate it. Cant picture S spiraling now man no!... Dan did deserve a better break up from B tho. I felt sorry for him. But finally I got my CHAIR......I thought i wasnt but they proved me wrong again. I gave C his props for telling B off after the party man she needed that big chunk of reality thrown at her and the end scene btween em was the best. Who wud have thought Jack would have called B......Episode was great...."I'm all in"

@dairforever im sorry but i really doubt they are doing a dair reunion next season with only 11 episodes to go..it would be a horrible rushed reunion..gg just stick with chair and not all this back and forth

I thought it was an ok finale! I never had anything against Dan and Blair, as friends they were adorable! But as a couple i just didn't think it worked...I'm glad she seems to be back with Chuck now, and she's FINALLY fighting for him! Although when i watched that scene on the roof where Blair did her 'I tried to kill it but i just couldn't cause we're so in love' bit, i felt like i'd seen it a hundred times before! Still, hopefully they'll have a great ending! Serena...ahaha I'm so glad she finally got what she deserved! I was so sick of her being such a bitch and everyone just accepting it! She's so full of herself, convinced that if Blair was gone Dan would automatically love her. Well he doesn't (good for him!) and when i saw her stuck alone leaving town i had the biggest smile on my face! Phew, well that's my venting done! Oh i also thought Blair looked AMAZING in the final scene, what a dress!

I'm a little confused with Nate asking Lola to move in with him when Nate is actually living at Chuck's place... Isn't that a bit weird? But except that, this episode vas absolutely marvelous! I actually cried of joy in the end, and also because of Chuck's cute face when Blair told him she would fight for him!

I liked Chuck rejected Blair. The whole season he waited for her so it would too easy if their story was now solved. I'm glad Dair is over. I think since there are only 11 episodes it's pretty sure we won't see Dair anymore. I would have liked as you mentioned her to tell him she loves Chuck.
I understood Dan's reaction over Serena but I still hope they end up together one way or another. I liked their sweet scenes seasons ago. In yesterday's episode there wasn't much chemistry :(
You say all Blair's suitors are unworthy of her. Maybe it's Blair who is unworthy of them. I mean she knows she belongs to Chuck yet she starts a relationship with a guy she doesn't truly love.
This season at least but not in this episode, Nate had a good storyline with The Spectator and I hope Lola is not gone for good but it looked like she was leaving for good
Rufus should get a better storyline. Even though I hope Rufus gets back with Lily, I hate how she's changed. She can't face some difficulties,

Give DAIR a chance! They were friends! How can Blair just choose Chuck again and again, when it never leads anywhere. Dan is a great guy, and she is great when she´s with him. You should do the pacy-joey reunion, and reunite them again @ the end. He really loves her, and does not deserve this ending. Blair needs to realize she loves dan more than anything and be with him @ the end of next season. That couple makes the show better, not chair, with their on and off and bad timing. I was expecting 3 words 8 letter from her to him. Hope to have it by next season. Just give them a chance, and more passion, and they will rock the show.

Seriously Dan's fault? I'm not surprised he deleted emails from a girl who was meant not only to be his girlfriend but also his friend but basically ditched him to go running back to her ex. And email to explain? I think anyone deserves better than that! I am tired of Dan always coming off the loser just because he doesn't have their privileged background. The others don't have a clue and have done nothing with all the opportunities available to them. I hope Dan rises above it and becomes a successful writer. The others can have thir sad little club. I actually can't believe that I've gone from liking all the characters for various reasons to really not giving a damn now.

5. Nate - I love him and am excited to hopefully see him have a story line of his own next year where he tries to bring down GG. but did anyone notice his look of worry when he watched the tape? "DUMMDUMMDUMM" maybe he's the writer of the XOX's.....although i would rather see it be Dan. Hopefully he is girl free next season, he needs to be a media mogul before he settles down in my personal opinion but if he were to settle with anyone my choice would be Serena. Nate has always been portrayed as the Knight in Shining Armor and maybe we will see it one last time as he saves Serena from a downward spiral. :)
6. As for Serena, she has never been a favorite of mine. She's such a wishy washy character. While people claim Blair is self obsessed and hate on her, atleast Blair admits and knows she is, S continuely tries to make her character flaws out to be accidents caused by other people. I never post on these things but after reading all of the comments, I do feel the need to offer some opinions:
1. Fans, if you really expected every bow to be tied in the finale episode then you clearly don't watch enough T.V. - the writers new the probability of 6 being the final season due to contracts, so if you take all of season 5 as the build-up for the final 11 episodes then really it wasn't soo bad.
2. Dan as GG? I think this is highly probable. Anyone who argues that Dan was an outsider and couldn't know all the gossip has a valid point, BUT he still went to school with them, and just because noone from NJBC didn't care for him or know him, he was still at Saint Judes and still saw them alll the time. I think after graduation when Dan was the first to show up at the bar where Serena was waiting was a huge clue for viewers, as was the fact that I dont believe he was in the scene with NJBC when Jonathan was outed for hacking her site. Dan acts as always if it is not going how he intended. I already wrote that Dan was in love with an illusion, in Blair as described in his book. This has not Blair in real life. When the illusion broke, Dan is often blamed as one who is closest to he - Serena. Dan blamed Serena, because she said that he was in love with an illusion. The problem with Dan is that he is weak on the girls in trouble. But sooner or later these same girls get out of trouble, and Dan does not know how to be with them. Therefore he is angry at Serena, though he is aware that as much as he loves her as she loves him. But probably not yet ready to accept that, from fear that if they will be together that not be successful.
About the whole closure thing for Blair and Dan, you guys must have noticed all the emails from Blair on Dan's computer that he was deleting when Serena arrived at the loft. I paused to read them a few were: "Email me back?" "You don't know the whole story", "There's an explanation". This seems like Blair has been trying to contact Dan to talk about the break up and everything that happened before she left for Paris, but he's been ignoring her. So stop blaming Blair, it's obviously Dan's fault.

one thing i hate about DAN JENNY AND VANESSA is that they make it seem like they UES kids are always scheming and are so manipulative and evil . but they are JUST THE SAME . they've done their share of scheming too . if anything they're just SORE LOSERS . because the UES kids stick together and never turn on eachother no matter how many times they fight . and they never quite fit in .i hate that whenever they get got , they wanna run adn cry UES is evil . but its okay when they scheme and PLOT

Can someone explain why Lola thinks that Lily is sabotaging Carol's case? Carol says that a lawyer from Abrams and Weiler offered to take her case pro bono. Since Lily's attorney is from the same firm, it's safe to assume that she could have had something to do with the lawyer taking the case, but is she did, wouldn't it be more along the lines of secretly paying the lawyer fees since the lawyer has told Carol that he/she will do the case for free?

Dan doesnt love THE REAL BLAIRE that chuck know and love, he loves the VULNERABLE BLAIRE . the one that was weak and needed a friend and was in a BAD marriage to a prince . he was QUICK to dismiss Serena when she schemed and used him as collateral damager . so imagine had it been BLAIRE . in seasons before he ALWAYS hated blaire because of the way she was able to scheme and play the game and never get burned . so what chanegd that now ?

As crazy as Serena was being this episode, everything she said was right. Her telling Dan he wasn't in love with Blair, but the Blair he wrote in his book, was totally spot on. Dan doesn't love conniving evil B. You saw how he treated Serena after he caught her in a scheme. Blair loves schemes and would have done the same thing had the roles been reversed. He doesn't love Blair. He loves weak Blair.
So get over it Dair fans. The build-up of Dan/Blair was a build-up of their friendship. The second they got together it was obvious it was never going to work. Chuck and Blair have had a five year build-up. And honestly, I agree with B's choice. If you had to choose between safe love, or passionate love, what would you choose? Anyone who chooses safe is a coward, just like Dan.
