Actually here is what could happen now :
With Teddy gone, Cristina is gonna become a heart surgeon at seattle. And she'll come back to Owen, realizing she gets close to death every year lol.
Meredith and Derek will stay to help Tatcher and Mark coping with Little Grey's death. I predict some trouble for Callie and Arizona AND Karev, after the accident.
About April and Jackson, no idea but April may get her job back now that there will be so many surgeons out at least for a while (Derek, Arizona, Mark, without forgetting Lexie is gone).
Btw, there was no intern left (they all vanished a couple of seasons ago without any explanation) and now there is no resident left. Weird.

I thnk they should make lexie just be in a coma. Great idea. I alomost lost it when she died. Its not fair. Loved the Season Finale I just hope Lexie comes back!!! We have to start a movement or something and let the writers know how we feel!!

It's not easy to build a fire with one hand. And it's not easy to build a fire when you just had fluid flushed out of your heart. And it's not easy to build a fire when you can't move your legs. Mer was the only one capable of building a fire. And she probably didn't know how to build one. Sucks to be them. It was an ok finale. But it's always those speeches that the actors say that always get to my heart. Christina not wanting to die, Teddy in the OR, Bailey with thinking for two, Mers opening and closing monologue, which was from the very first episode.
How about you get over yourselves! Lets get over the fact that you think you know whats best for this show!
For those of you who are threatening to stop watching this show...good then I can stop having you read your stupid comments. But lets be honest, you are still coming back in September. No one can watch that finale and not come back to see where all the doctors are next season! So if were that upset then delete it off your dvrs and forget about it until next season! Go outside and away from your televisions and computers and GET A LIFE!!!

I agree with whoever said lexie should be in a coma... that would have been such great storytelling. Its never happened before. Mark and meredith and derek, could all just be waiting for her to wakeup...it would have opened the door to so much good storytelling, chyler could have gotten a ton of time off...and maybe only film a couple scenes of her unconscious...and mark giving her amazing speeches. It could still bring mark to that dark place of acting gold, yet give hope for the future. They could have some intense pull the plug arguments, and then when chyler is ready to come back....(just like katherine heigl eventually wanted to come back) .. they could wake her up and her and mark could be together...get married and maybe even run away together...
Seriously all the haters need to realize that they are watching a TV show and these people are not REAL! I will be the first to admit that you can find me talking with my friends about the characters on this show and it sounds like I am talking about real people, but unlike the rest of you I realize that they are on TV! I mean Lexie survived the death of her mother and the shooting (even though she was one of the people who were suppose to be killed by that crazy gun man!) She had a drunk for a father, who she had to take care of! She lost Mark, got him back, and lost him again! She went crazy and then became lil grey again! GET OVER IT!

I cried like a little baby during this whole episode! I also cried during breakfast .. I just can NOT believe this .. Why? Tell me why Shonda? Why do all the Grey's -characters have to die eventually (Denny, Alice, George,Henry)? Can't they just move to another country or something? Jeez! Unbelievable!! Omg, Lexie Grey is dead? Poor Mark for losing the love of his life, wow life can be so cruel.. he didn't even got the chance to kiss her! And oh poor Meredith en Derek, for losing the sweetest sister (in law)! Wow, I'm listening to 'Chyler leigh - Breath' and I can't stop crying!! Shonda is a sadist, and I really don't know if I want to watch the next season. But I'm a huge GA-Fan, so I have to! And I don't like the way GA-staff treated Kim Raver, 3 little scenes? Is that all she gets for leaving the show? I REALLY WISH IT WAS APRIL, AND NOT LEXIE :( !!
So as of now Teddy, Alex, Christina, April, Jackson, Meredith and Derek were planning on leaving Seattle Grace Mercy Death (as Christina called it) but what will happen is Christina will stay and be head of Cardio and she will also not leave because she wants to be with Meredith as she lost Lexie and her and Owen will get back together. Alex will stay as Arizona will be bound to a wheel chair and will no longer be a doctor and Alex will take over Pediatrics. Mer and Der will stay as Mer will go back to Neuro and I can see Derek teaching somewhere and that will allow Patrick to not be in every episode. April (unfortunetaly) will stay because now Lexie and Teddy being gone there is money in the budget. I think Jackson will stay too but there has to be a good reason given for him to stay and at this time I do not see one.

I read Shondas tweet, I love lexie she was my favorite but I'm okay with her death because I assumed Chyler Leigh wanted to leave. She had been saying she wanted to be with her family. She has a husband and 3 kids. And I think she said that one of them is special needs. So, she wants to be with her kids, there's nothing wrong with that. But Shonda said it was a decision they made together, I'm assuming some time ago. So she knew she was going to have to get rid of Lexies character, why not give us Mark and Lexie fans the satisfaction of them getting back together first for a few episodes before killing her!! We waited and waited all season after being promised they would be together and then Lexie dies!! The part with them confessing their love...we already knew they loved each other. That was nothing special; I wanted to see them together. Very disappointed, now I'm sitting here like an idiot thinking "why the hell have I been watching this for the past few months?" lol That was the M
Arizona and the bone sticking out of her leg. Mark seemed fine but then he turned green and lost consiousness and Mer, Der and Christina all worked together to save him which mirrored the patient that Teddy and Owen were working on.
Back at the hospital it was nice to see Teddy appologize to Owen for the way she has been acting and admitting that she knew all the stuff with Henry was not Owen's fault. Then Owen firing her and being super mean so that she would get mad and want to leave then she comes back in the room and they hug, that was a sweet moment.
Bailey and Ben will get married and have a long distance relationship, I forget what Ben called it but it was funny.
I have never seen so many posts on this site! I guess more people watched the finale or wanted to comment!

I had thought it quite odd that the hospital in Boise would not call and ask where the doctors were so when Owen was listening to his messages I was glad that they had the hospital call it made it more believable.
The airplane 6 were fantastic! I cringed and yelped the whole time, Meredith and the glass in her leg and the nasty gash on the back of her head, Derek and his hand, when he took the rock to smash the part of the plane to get his hand free and when Meredith was closing the wound. As someone who watched the show right from its pilot I feel like this was the worst season finale ever.
First of all I don't get why there has to be a fatal accident almost every single season. I mean just look at what happened to the doctors during the last 8 episodes: Mer almost drowned, Der and Alex (+ Charles and Reed) got shot, George jumped in front of a bus, Izzie got cancer, Callie crashed through a windshield and now Lexie is dead and at least Arizona and Mark are seriously injured. Of course I want to see some drama but this is just too much to take it serious any more.
It almost seems like the chances of surviving war are higher then surviving being a doctor at Seattle Grace Mercy Death. ;)
Then there are those two scenes when Derek's hand is stuck in a part of the plane (how could this happen anyway?) and the docs are not being able to keep the fire burning. Seriously?
Besides all this stuff I was really disappointed in how they ended Lexies story. Ok there was Mark t

try this one, next episode.....they are rescued, and as they lift the wreckage off lexie, some one detects a breath or pulse???? due to the cold it put her body into hypothermia slowing breathing and heart such as when mer almost drowned?? wow that would be great, and christina takes over teddy's position and they get to keep april

I start to get pissed off at people who say "it should have been Arizona" or even other people. No. It shouldn't have been Arizona. It shouldn't have been Lexie either, she didn't deserve that.
No one should have been killed, not AGAIN, and that's Shonda's mistake. Except maybe April, cause her storyline doesn't bring anything to Grey's Anatomy. Not as a doctor, not even as a person.
Besides that, well here it is : Denny, Ellis Grey, George, Charles, Reed, Henry and now Lexie. Shonda must get her inspiration back cause that's predictable, way too easy and stupid.

LEXI ISN'T DEAD!! Well she is, but not in reality. The previews said ONE WILL DIE so yes of course, someone had to die. But the story was left how it was, that means next season it will pick back up. What if all of a sudden she comes back!!??? Think about it...NO ONE CHECKED HER PULSE...maybe she just passed out and the plane is holding her together. Mark can't lose Lexi...they need to have their family so Sophia will have siblings and they HAVE to live happily ever after. Mer came back to life after being dead for HOW LONG?!?!? THEY CAN'T KILL LEXI!! I'm not giving up hope yet...I believe there will be some Grey's Magic and she will be okay. I can't believe that they would kill her...I am holding on hope for her. Something magical will happen.

I thought this was a great show. Very sad to see Lexie die, but it would have been much worse for the show had it been Derek, after all. Merk's character is still evolving and can grow even more without Lexie; and Meridith will survive without out her...but not without Derek...that's just way, way too dark. And there is much more to develop with Christine left in the picture. No, I think that the obvious character to "kill off" was Lexie, sad to say. She really didn't grow much this year. At least as one thinks back. But I sure hate to rush the summer. LOL!
I just don't understand why so many fans are so very pissy about this.
