Someone ask how they would set up next season...here's my guess. Christina will now stay and be head of cardio. Mer-Der will stay at Seattle because he won't be able to perform surgery for awhile if at all. If something happens to Arizona, Alex will stay to be over peds. Reason behind this, is we now know the original cast have all singed contracts for another 2 years, so they will be staying on. I kinda got the feeling Owen fired Teddy not only because of the opportunity she had but to fight to keep Christina in Seattle. Patrick Dempsey said he would be willing to stay if he wasn't on as much, leading to him maybe not being able to operate or taking awhile to fully heal (like with Burke). These are just my guesses on how they will go about it!

This was such a terrible episode. It was cheap and Lexie's death made absolutely no sense. To me, it felt like they just wanted to kill of the person that we thought was the safest, even if it meant ruining future plot lines. Previous characters who have died off seemed to be at the end of their line as far as plots go. George was well-loved but the writers seemed to reach a dead end with him. The two characters killed in the shooting did not really have a plot going for them either. However, we have spent the past few episodes brooding over Lexie loving Mark again and his reaction to her declaration. Hell, Shonda herself pointed out that Lexie and Mark were meant to be together after a rocky path. Point: this does not indicate that Lexie was headed in the direction of dying in a plane crash at all. This move was completely out of left field and not in a good way.
I'm seriously considering stopping watching this show because of this episode. Our characters have had their fair share

Never thought I'd look forward to seeing the season finale of Scandal before Grey's, but it was certainly worth it. The season finale of Scandal left me wanting more. Grey's meh....Grant it I know it's hard to come up with fresh material that will shock and awe as much as the shooter season finale, which in my opinion was the absolute best finale of any television show period. But, dare I say, this was lazy. First, really? What year are we in that you can't find a downed plane? Are you kidding me. When a flight is hours late, the pilot airport, FAA, etc... would be notified. No one heard the plane crash, saw it fall from the sky, saw smoke? Really? Grey's meets Lost meets Survivor. Gimme a break. Second, Lexie dying? That was so anti-climatical. She declares her undying love for Mark in the most unspectacular way. Are kidding me? And to top it all off, Lexie's dead, everyone is injured, but emotionally vacant? So stupid. They should have had April die in a car accident, that would have

Lexie tal vez se pueda salvar no? Podría ser como cuando la suicida meredith se ahoga y tardaron bastante tiempo en resucitarla. Es una opción, no quiero ver la prox temporada si no veo esa chispa entre Lexie y Mark que es lo que más me encantaba aunque fueron pocos minutos.
I really thought it would be April committing suicide. That would have been a shocker but no reason to stop watching the show. It would have been a dark storyline and it would also affect the others somehow. But NO. It just had to be a PLAIN CRASH and my reason to watch this show had to DIE?! That is just too much of drama... Even for Grey's.

So pissed at you Shonda for killing off Lexie Grey. Should have known it was coming with such a limited role she had this year. Much like George in his final year. There are people on this show that get more airtime than others and they really suck. Lexie is a great character, great actress, and deserves to have more camera time than some of these idiots on this show. Some of us who like Lexie have always pictured her taking over the lead role when Meredith's character is gone. It is sad that you focus on less talented and more boring actresses such as Arizona or April. Lexie and Mark deserved airtime! I hope you wake up Lexie from that plane crash if not this person who has been with you since the very beginning is done. I have had enough of watching you throw good actors and actresses right out the Flipping door!

Also, I didn't find this episode any more graphic than pulling off a guy's face to do brain surgery or a guy sawing off his own foot or half the carnage we were exposed to in the episode with the ferry boat crash.

This could have been better, I've watched every episode. Instead of a one houre they should have made it a two hour episode. Lexie??? C'mon Lexie??? C'mon. What were you thinking. I guess you were trying to throw a twist that no one expected, but seriously??? It really should have been April. Great you should have kept Mark injured and questionable to show reflection on Lexie's confession. That would have been great. I'm used to the season Finale's going all out though. I mean c'mon. Plane crash??? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let Owen lead a full search team!!! Please don't LET MARK GO!!!! It was good, but I guess not as good as it could have been. But still really good. Also when you bring back the show can you please make it BIG TIME... Two hour big time!!!

-I love Chyler and I love the character of Lexie Grey. She was an important member of my Grey's family. This was not an easy decision. But it was a decision that Chyler and I came to together. We had a lot of thoughtful discussion about it and ultimately we both decided this was the right time for her character's journey to end. As far as I'm concerned Chyler will always remain a part of the Shondaland family and I can't wait to work with her again in the future.
I'd write more but I'm honestly too sad. I don't like life changing in an instant and turning on a dime.

This finale was incredibly hard to write. I did not enjoy it. It made me sick and it made me sad. We end the season not knowing ANYTHING about the future. Except for two things. We know we are definitely saying goodbye to two of my favorite people: Chyler Leigh (Lexie) and Kim Raver (Teddy).
I know this season’s finale had some surprises for viewers and the exit of Kim Raver was one of the big ones. But Kim’s series option was up and she was ready to give Teddy Altman a much-needed vacation. It’s been a pleasure working with someone as talented and funny and kind as Kim; everyone is going to miss her terribly. I like to imagine that Teddy is still out there in the Grey’s Anatomy universe, running Army Medical Command and building a new life.

According to Wikipedia, Chyler Leigh is involved with the upcoming Broadway musical, Diner. It's been going on since last year so I bet she's been busy with the show coming to Broadway and that's why we hardly saw her this season. Who knows if her singing in the musical episode inspired her to pursue musical theatre. Who knows if she approached Shonda about it, or if Shonda told her last year that her character would die, and the Chyler looked for her next project. Does anybody know more about this?

I'm pissed! Like wtf shonda just keeps killing off beloved characters like they are disposable razors! I loved lexi & was excited to see her & mark get back together & when we finally get to see it, she dies! Wtf is that! What is mark going to do without lexie?!? & the ending, I understand she didn't know who was coming back for another season, but to me that was one of the weakest ending in the shows history! Usually I'm grabbing tissues, the only bad things were lexi dying & all the gore scenes.
