I thought it was a pretty lame episode. It felt as if the writers just through everything together last minute. The people at the hospital might as well have not been in the finale. It should have been April and not lexie to die.

@Ann I so agree with you! Eric Dane is being underused. I've been waiting for a hearty storyline for him forever. I agree with your whole comment...except Owen. He's become my new underdog so can't have him dying just yet.

1.hard to say given I wasn't fond of most of it. Ill go with lexie and mark 's farewell. I was livid but that scene was great.
2.I was thinking or hoping it would be April, Arizona, or Teddy.
3. I was and I wasn't. I still had a gut feeling once it begin that it would be her. I will miss her.they gave her virtually nothing to do all season. I'm still pissed. At least Mark gave the performance of a lifetime in expressing his grief. I still maintain that mer didn't care.
4.It reminded me of Lost. It was too unbelievable. And too dramatic. They keep overdoing the drama and it made half yhr doctors seem incompetent and heartless.and the hospital stuff was almost unnecessary to show.
5. You annoyed me but I loved you still. Little Grey you will remain the only grey I like. You were too good for Seattle Grace...your friends..but not mark.you two belonged together.

3: I was surprised and very sad as I liked Lexie BUT finding out that Chyler wanted of the show so it made sense from that stand point!
4: For me this was such and intense finale, while I did not like Lexie dying I did like the finale!

Before Meredith's devastation with her relationship, career and child, this season on Yang's struggle of her married and moving on, next season it's Mark's turn loosing his one true love.

Although I didnt want Lexie to die, I dont agree that it shouldve been Arizona. Her character goes great with Callie. Who definitely deserves happiness after all the hell she has endured during this show. I choose Az over Lexie any day. I will miss her and her photographic memory. But in truth Lexie really have much going on. Clearly Chyler wanted out asap! Her character died within the first 20 minutes!
This finale is garbage compared to the shooting one. Having two hours to really capture the audience is what Shonda needed. I agree that Derek looked pretty damn good for a guy sucked out of the side of a plane. Christina and Meredith must be bionic lol Christina was the saving grace during this epi. Her finding her show was hilarious!
Arizona is more important to the show than Kepner or Jackson. Kudos to JCap for her acting abliity especially with Sara :)

I don't think Arizona will die..she is too important to the Calzona storyline..and has a lot of fans..

Don't think anything will top the Mr Clark murder spree finalle but come on people...everyone was totally upset when George died and said they wouldn't watch again...years later one of our favorites is gone and we will deal with it...keep it up Shonda!!!

One more thing. I wouldn't be angry with Shonda, it's like being angry with the plane (or the pilot). Accidents happen, people die.
Plus, it's fiction... The author can do however she pleases.

I was more shocked at this finale than I was with season 6 finale... This time, Lexie's death came as a total surprise, and I actually cared about her character. I guess only George's death was more shocking.
It's been almost two weeks and I still can't believe that Lexie is gone.

Arizona still may not live. Coughing up blood is never good. I never liked her character either. Maybe we will see Lexi again in Mark's dreams and agonies...that would be interesting.

In 20 minutes, Shonda & Co. ruined the show I have loved and watched faithfully for eight seasons. Lexie was my favorite character and I waited very patiently for almost 3 seasons for a reunion. I believed Shonda when she said to be patient. Then, to build up a reunion to kill Lexie (and only give it 6 minutes of screen time) was the last straw. As much as I used to love Grey's, I can't watch Mark mourn or worse move on. No Lexie = no Grey's for me.

Is it possible if all behind this not shonda's fault only, but cyler leigh who dont want to play anymore in SGMW? if u know about information why leigh stop play as lexie please tell us...

1. None. The acting was as OTT as the story.
2. Didn't know.
3. Won't miss Lexie. I hated her with Mark and that's the only thing either character had. I wouldn't miss Mark either.
4. Worst Grey's finale ever. Comparing this idiotic mess to Lost is an insult to Lost. The plane crash was so stupid and so outlandish it was funny. LOL at Derek getting Sucked! Out! Of! The! Plane! but still without a hair out of place. I didn't care about The! Death! Scene! The season 6 finale was gripping. This was boring and absurd and made the writers look desperate.
Terrible ending to a very blah season. They really need to step it up next year, and NOT with more silly gimmics.

Lexie's dying impacts so many people. I think that dynamic might have played into the decision that she be the one (well, that and Chyler's new Broadway gig). She worked with Derek. She had romantic relationships with Jackson, Alex, and of course, Mark...which connects her to Arizona and Callie. Meredith is her half-sister, which adds Cristina to the mix. Thus impacting everyone. As this episode was a cliff-hanger, I see more happenings in the season opener that will bring changes at SG-MW. Arizona and Mark have injuries that cannot wait days to be attended to...plus both Meredith and Derek have nasty open wounds that needs cleansing!

Count me in as one who is pissed that Lexie was the one to die! We were teased all season with the possibility of Mark and Lexie FINALLY getting back together and making things right, and then this? UGH!!!! Can Mark never have a normal relationship? Poor Eric Dane is so completely wasted on this show with no regular storyline to sink his teeth into, it's a disgrace! Arizona should have been the one to go. I haven't been able to stomach her charachter since she came on the show, and along with Christina, I wanted to punch her to make her shut up with her incipid screaming to start the finale off. Owen, Callie, Arizona all would have been acceptable substitutues as a "major charachter" to lose as opposed to Little Grey :(

I am going to miss Lexie so much, she brought so much sunshine to the show and into Mark and Mer and even Dereks life, just everyone around her, I have boycotted all Shonda Rymes shows for the summer and as a Neilson family this will hurt the ratings for her, we had parties at my house to watch all the fav shows, many shonda shows, sorry shonda we axed you

I seriously am so upset lexie died. She's my favorite character and I have been waiting all season for Sloan and her to be together. It was a good scene between mark and lexie but I wish she wouldn't have died..the show will not be the same.. Poor mer losing another family member. RIP Lex

Whether it was Lexie or Arizona, conflict would have arisen. As sad as it is to see Lexie gone, I'm virtually over it. I just hope other fans will be.
