Sure, why not kill Cristina and April or Alex so we can finish everything right? If Ellen Pompeo would have left the show, who would have been the Grey in Grey's anatomy? Or you would have changed to Calzona's anatomy? It would have been beyond horrible and horrifyng at the same time!
I'm still with a bad taste in my mouth, and it won't go away!
I'm sorry, but you screwed up the entire Tv series by doing this!
I hate it now, I'm dissapointed, and I will never watch it again, no matter what!
Denny, George, Reed, Charles, Henry, almost Izzie, and now Lexie! I'm feel really digusted and it's the only death, or maybe the same as George
s death, that trully maked me sad and dissapointed and make me hate everything that means Grey's anatomy! I don't even have words to describe my frustration, but I would let it like this, because I said almost all that boile

ARE YOU KIDDDING ME!!!!! Well thats another show I won't be watching. Why do they always kill my favorites. And what does she mean "it was difficult" she could of killed Teddy the Christine could have taken over Cardio or Kepner could have kicked the bucket. Im mean Lexi is my favorite character

Iwas devastated by the loss of Lexie...I had so hoped her and Mark would get back together and if someone had to leave the show it would be Arizona. I think she's the only one that was in the plane crash that I wouldn't have been too upset with losing but Lexie....boo!

I love this show and people just wait and see what will happen instead of all this guessing. Can not wait to see who will be in and who will be out this is one reason I love this show it keep you on the edge.

Lexie will be miss. Of all the characters that rhonda has killed Lexie was the only one i actualy liked. George was sooo boring.
But please stop killing people, ir it will became ER 2, how i loved at first but the final 5 seasones were boring.
And pretty please dont kill Arizona

As a Mark and Lexie fan is kind of devastating to know that Shonda originally had very different plans for those two and that the introduction of Julia was the beginnings of seeing these two get back together.
Obviously these things happen and I don't begrudge Leigh making the decision to leave the show, whatever her personal reasons, but I so wish we could have had a happy ending for Lexie and Mark, perhaps with them both leaving together onto better things.
Why were the contracts so late in being sorted out?! Seems like it severely impacted the direction of the show as it was, we had to end with a lot of messed up, open storylines because no one had any clue beyond the actresses who played Lezxie and Teddy who was coming back.

So sad to see Lexie go. Please do not kill off any more characters. I don't think I could take it. I love the show and want to see them all next season. Also please get Christina back with her husband but keep her as Meredith"s person. That's what BFF are for.

Shonda is not killing anyone else off. Arizona will be next to have a near death or death and revive experience. Shonda has pissed off her fanbase enough for now. She is trying to keep the interest up for next season. Once we get closer to the season we will hear more stuff like this. Calzona and Merder are Shonda's bread and butter to keep Greys afloat. Those 4 characters are going nowhere.
I also hope they don't try turn GA into ER. By season 10 of ER, I was bored, especially with all the new characters. If they're going to start downsizing only to add more characters, rather end the show completely. GA IS NOT ER, so don't turn it into ER pls!
By the way, did anyone else get really annoyed with Meredith in the finale??? I was hoping Yang would smack her!!! ;)

Stoech couldnt of said it anybetter!!! You comment was EXACTLY what I was going to ask of Shonda!! I was upset that it ended without seeing the faces of the staff in the hospital! I want to see how they area rescued too!!!!

I enjoyed the finale, I was very surprised to see Lexie die, but it was a good story line. I can't wait to see who makes it out of the woods. I don't want to see Arizona killed off cause her and Callie make a great couple and Callie is so happy right now, but with Callie being so happy Arizona probably will be killed off. I really enjoyed the 8th season, I couldn't wait for the next episode every week!! Keep up the good work

Better to kill off Avery, April or Teddy - their deaths would have been sad but doable. Should have kept Lexi's options open - circumstances change and people change their minds. End the series with hope. It's okay to have a happy ending. Deep down that's all we want. Owen and Christina can't be together unless they truly want the same things. Teddy's character got dull. Let Derek and Mer be. There has to be some sense of real happiness. Keep Mark and end the show with the hopes he will follow Lexi. Since the lesbian couple make so many viewers happy keep them around - they are much too beautiful to be real - it's just plain fun to have the around.

I just have ONE request for Shonda; Don't open season 9 with ' ... weeks later '. Let us see the rescue-operation and the faces of all the people when they hear about the crash, and when they arrive there. Let us see everyone doing everything they can to save the survivors.. Please!

Well, I think the death og Lexie was beautifully written. I think Chyler Leigh had a memorable exit from the show compared to Kim Ravers. I am also under the impression that Chyler leigh quit voluntarely. I wish Leigh good luck with her personal issues.
As to the other character's possible death; Well it's either Mark or Arizona.. Depending on Capshaw being pregnant and the fact that she had a baby not long ago, maybe she will be written out of the show. Maybe Capshaw would like to spend more time with her family and decided to leave the show voluntarely. We could see for a brief moment during the finale that Arizona coughed up some blood indicating internal bleeding. She did not tell anybody so maybe she will bleed out without anybody noticing before it's to late.
We know that Eric Dane had two children not long ago aswell as a breakdown. Maybe he quit the show.. But I really think the possibility of Arizona dying is more likely than Marks. They fixed Mark as well as they could,

This has been a satisfying season. Bailey and her boyfriend, are much better, with a more troubled/funny/feisty tone.Bailey is much better as feisty rather than grouchy, still a little out of the spotlight. The "real chief" has been good. The friendship between Meredith and Christina has been a nice touch. The story line of moving on from residency is great. I still like to watch those first few episodes over, I like the flashback. Doctors trying to cope with themselves being hurt, good stuff. I'm glad it's going to keep going, Keep it coming, whatever it is, I'm hooked on this show.

I found this to be the most shocking season finale yet. While I a quite sad about the loss of Lexie, it was a brilliant move for the show as it was maybe the most unexpected. I know most GA fans would be upset at this comment, but at this point Christina, Meredith, and Kurev (and Owen)are my least favorite characters (they have all gotten so annoying). I don't want them to die, but I'd rather lose them than Arizona, who is my favorite on the show along with Callie (they are the real reason I still watch the show). It will a long long wait for season 9!

If Shonda has to eliminate another character, I'd vote for Mark. The writers can't do anything with him now, and the actor can't act at all, so watching him mourn would be less sad then funny and not in a good way. They could just have Avery take over for him. There's no reason to kill of Arizona as long as Callie's around.

It was a great, emotional finale. I did not want Lexie to die, but now that she is gone....good-bye Mark. His character without Lexie is over. Callie and Arizona would be free of that lame story line and finally it would be nice to see a lesbian couple portrayed without the Mark factor. I have friends that stopped watching Greys when you re-connected Callie and Mark for the pregnancy. It looked like you were setting Arizona up to die throughout the finale.
I will be the next fan to go if you kill off Arizona.
Callie is so happy at home waiting for her.

I'm probably one of a few who think Lexies death was done beautifully. She went with her biggest love by her side, being realistic and brave about that she was gonna die. I also feel like her character is better off death so we can keep the nice memories of little grey. I don't think u can just let characters alive for the sake of sticking around. Hopefully after Chyler and Kim the cast will shrink down a bit further, so there can be more focus on character development. Needless to say, Mer, Christina, Alex, Callie, Derek, Bailey and the real chief should stick around. An Izzie comeback (as a great surgeon) is really welcome as well.
Can't wait for next season, hopefully the last, there's only so much u can do in one show.

First I don't miss George at all. Now to the more important thing, my Dear Lexie. She was my all time Fav on the show. I'm going to miss her, but I have to say that Shonda did a great job with that goodbye scene between Lexie and Mark. Lexie clearing demostrated her incredible acting skills in that scene. Like I said I'm a Lexie fan, but I'm a bigger fan of Chyler.
As for the rest, clearly Dereck's hand being injured will come into play - so he may be leavving soon. But I would expect Shonda to fade him out sometime during next season. Please Shonda don't take Arizona away from me - I will be mourning the lost of Lexie for some time and can't take another loss at this time.
Lastly, I am starting to like April's very complexed character.
Meredith: We're having a c-section in the dark. Derek: Yes, we are.
