Everyone wants it to be april but the writer said in her interview that it was heartbreaking when we filmed it on the SCENE. Lexie is my favorite and as someone else had said they wont try to kill derek again. It's pointless to kill Arizona now after what happened with her friend so the only person who makes sense is Lexie, but if you notice we're all refering to the people we saw there's still so many more like teddy and callie. If Lexie dies it will make us all sad and it will have a very emotional impact on Sloan so my guess is Lexie but i hope so much its someone else.

I guess it will be Lexiw, too. If you watch carefully, Lexie is really lying under the part of the plane, you only see her arm when Marc and Cristina are hugging at 0.16. Arizona only has her legs under a part of the plane and is sitting straight during the first seconds of the promo.

I think it will be Richard. Don't know how? Maybe run over by April. I don't think it will be any one we expect. Richard was helping everyone, planning a party for the staff. There was just something about his demeanor that makes me think it is him. He is a very beloved character..............

I think if it was to be Lexie, that would give Meredith every reason to leave Seattle because her sister would be gone. There would be nothing holding her there. Now if her sister were injured, that would give her cause to stay. I'm really wondering if it is anyone from the plane at all. With Kepner going through all of these life altering changes, how tragic were her death end up being? Pretty tragic. I honestly just don't know which one. I still think that anyone is game. Producers and writers can unscript characters anytime they darn well please, if it suits the storyline.

Here is our situation :
1. As original cast is returning, it is between Arizona and Lexie, both are trapped. It would be a really strange move to kill Arizona, after the "don't leave me" speech, the lesbian storyline on a prime time show and the fact they she has a kid. Besides, so what, she won't even say goodbye to Callie ? How crappy would that be ?
2. Maybe, after all, that no one in the plane dies, maybe their lives are at stake but that they will survive. Maybe it's someone else who dies, like Kepner who commits suicide ? (that would be possible). I sure hope it's that.

Yes Patrick did sign for another 2 years but some are saying that they might kill him and have him come back in flashbacks doing the show. Which even with that some people may not watch the show. Me, I wouldn't it would be hard enough watching him die and then watching Mer be a single mother with a child and not having her husband around, every Thursday seeing her upset and missing him along with go on with out the love of her life. That would be just too much.

Its lexie that dies.remember they need something to happen to make meredith and derek stay in Seattle, if Arizona died it wouldnt really affect that decision but if Mer's siser dies its the perfect setup...It has to be lexie for everything to kind of fall into place for next season..and we already know its not derek so who else could it be that would have that much effect on what changes.. i hate to even say this but it has to be Lexie...

From writer's stand point it would be conceivable that Arizona's death= Alex stays; also Teddy's (who IS beloved, especially since the loss of Henry) death= Christina stays ; and Derek's death or being seriously injured/disabled = Mer stays and Christina stays too. The Keppner killing herself idea seems possible, but so does her sobering up just in time and being the savior under pressure in a way that forces Owen to keep her as she did win chief resident in a similar way -- then failing won't be such an issue psychologically for her and she and Avery can have a real relationship. Lexie is very possible but would be poorly timed since they should have been writing that she and Mark got back together weeks ago to make it really worth it. Callie overcame near death experience already so twice would seem silly. If Richard dies, then that would be the hardest for all and to honor him they might all stay. They can't kill Bailey, she's the best to write for but her boyfriend, Adele, Owe

It makes sense to be Lexie, although she is one of the favourites for many people. Putting aside the fact that the final episode was shot before they renewed their contracts, Derek already almost died in one of the season`s final episodes. How many times are they going to try to kill and then save him. Once was enough, I just dont think every season should end with Mer and Derek almost breaking up and one of the almost dying...So my guesses are Arizona or Lexie too
As mentioned it will be Arizona or Lexie. Or the twist will be April and everyone will survive the plane crash.
It will not be Derek, he resigned on for 2 more years AND if Derek was killed off then they would not have released the article saying that Patrick, Ellen and Sandra signed on for 2 more years.

Well, since it's been confirmed that the originals (Ellen, Patrick, Sandra, etc) have renewed their contracts for another season or two, I doubt any of them are going to die. I doubt it will be Callie or Arizona, as we already went through that with "Song Beneath a Song" or whatever it was called. I don't see Mark's death being some big, emotional deal. I really, really think it's Lexie.
Its Arizona. She pulled Alex from the plane at the last minute. He will have to stay at SG to run the peds department if she dies. He won't be able to go to JHopkins. Makes sense? Not Mark, he was walking around in this episode, Lexi was trapped under wreckage but She is too likeable and just professed love to Mark gotta stay. 2 cents :)

It's going to be Lexie JCap tweeted that she wasn't going anywhere they put her on the plane because in real life JCap is pregnant this will give her character time off to recover from the injuries she will get from the plane crash therefore giving JCap time off to have her baby. I really don't want anyone to die I have grown to love all these characters so much. Definitely going to need lots of tissues for this episode.
Arizona will die. She made to fatal mistakes: She told Callie to never leave and she took Karev's place on the plane.
Ben will either stay in Seattle or he will leave and that will be the end for the two of them.
I do not think they would kill of Lexie.
I think it's either going to be Arizona, Lexie or April. I know Christina is pregnant and the people who are safe are Meredith, Christina, Alex, Bailey, Jackson, Mark and Derek.

The people hugging at the 16 seconds are Mark and I think Meredith. It looks like she is helping him stand more than hugging. Arizona seems to be crushed waist down which I am sure was a way to hide the fact that she is pregnant in real life. As for Lexi she looks like she is in shock and losing a good amount of blood. Alex and Arizona switched spots therefore he was never on the plane. As for Derek he is no where to be seen however a while back they said he came to an agreement with them for the next season. Meredith and Christina are obviously fine. April is back in Seattle and is being phased out but I have a feeling they may call her back after the accident.
I think Teddy will take the job so she is away from where her husband died and a way from Owen. As for Owen he seems to be losing it and I quite frankly am a little tired of him.
I think that Karev will stay temporarily for Arizona while she recovers and then when she is healthy Hopkins will take him. Meredith and Derek

oh God.. i am so sick of whiny greys "fans" saying "ugh if so-n-so leaves.. im no watching anymore.. if so-n-so dies..im not watching anymore!" good riddance then! if you're gonna not support the show anymore because of someone leaving or dying, then you were NEVER a true greys fan to begin with. a true greys fan knows that the writers of this show like to take us for rides.. rollercoasters, lots of ups and downs. if you dont get it.. then see ya!
Okay.. here's what's going on. Alex is not on the plane.. Arizona took his place. So relax everyone, Alex isn't going anywhere.. except to the top of the Pediatric unit at Seattle Grace. He will be taking over for Arizona while she recovers from her injuries from the crash.. Derek was sucked out of the plane.. he will be brain dead, which will pose irony since he is a neurologist.. Lexie will most likely die after failed attempts to save her by Mer and Mark. Meredith will loose her sister and her husband (for a while).. thoughts?

I definitely don't think that it is Derek hugging Meredith at 0:16 because the man has light hair (Patrick Dempsey has black hair) and the female is a brunette (Ellen's hair is more blonde). I know that whoever it is, we are going to find out on Thursday.

What seems likely unfortunately, based on what Shonda has said that Sloan and Lexie's relationship has a "bittersweet, lovely, and sad ending to their relationship" will be that Lexie dies. I will no longer want to watch the show if that happens, but that seems like the most likely scenario. This will cause Sloan so much grief that Shepherd will stay for him.
Arizona dieing would not have an effect on Mer/Der leaving or Cristina, it would only affect Karev so that is not as traumatic as Lexie, she affects everyone.
I further think that Teddy will be taking the job offer she gets next week and that it will be a double death episode and Kepner will somehow die too which will cause Owen to blame himself and Cristina will stay to help him and to take the new position.
Arizona since Capshaw is pregnant will be hospitalized for weeks and Callie will stand by her as she said in the episode. Karev will stay because he will feel so guilty that it should have been him. I hope all of this is

If Arizona dies and Mark realizes how much he loves Lexi it would put another wrench in their relationship b/c toraz would need to be comforted and she often falls into Sloans arms.

GOOD FOR CHRISTINA! She's very calm for this situation! She prob did some stress managment classes or something w Owen. (If you remember the shooting episdoe, Owen was the only one who was chill about it all) He prob gave her tips etc.
