Also I read somewhere that Shonda said it's not going to be like anything you expected, so this makes me wonder even more that while our entire focus will be at the ones that are in the plane crash, the one that will die will be someone else like Owen, Kepner, Weber!
It's not going to be Lexie who dies, I think everyone in the plane crash survives and on the other hand someone who was not in the plane dies, probably Kepner, after the bar scene and everything that's happened to her maybe she commits suicide or gets hit by a car! Or it could be Owen, you never know!
I don't know what to say, seriously, we'll have to wait and see but I don't think they'd kill off Lexie and loose the opportunity to explore Mark and Lexies relationship that has been built up for years now! Shonda did say that Mark and Lexies fans are going to get e satisfaction by the end but it's going to be bittersweet and painful (of course because of the plane crash) Mark will probably tell her that he loves only her, but Shonda also said that I think it's going to be kind of lovely!
I hope it's not Lexie the one that dies because I will stop watching the show!

If you read all of Sandra's interviews and comments and look at all of the characters it becomes sadly obvious that it will be Bailey.... I hate it because I feel like she is one of the BEST actresses on TV but look at the big picture it has nothing to do with the crash... She basically said so last night in the interview she released.

if someone on the plane is going to die i think it's lexie and not arizona although i def don't want her to die!!!!! stop the video at 0:02 and you will see arizona sitting by the plane which of course has to mean nothing but anyway.
otherwise i think someone at the hospital is going to die because someone dieing in the plane crash is too obvious isn't it? someone who actually seems safe would be a better twist... but anyway i can't wait to see the finale!!!!

I hate to think that they would kill off a character who still has a lot of potential on the show (Lexie) just because they cannot come up with a better shock factor. Lexie can still grow, she will take her boards at some point, she is still single, she can deal with the Grey's name legacy (explaining to people that it's not actually her mother), etc... This death seems unnecessary.

I dont believe it's Lexi. Since Ellen pompello is leaving. The shownis called Greys Anatomy, and they brought Lexi in to fill that. Shes been pretty abcent this season, i think it has to donwith letting merideth get her last bit, the Lexi will be the main. The the love triangle with mark and lexi and marks gf. Will definetely be interesting to see what happens! Ps if the kill off Karev im gonna be so upset. He finally FINALLY got his moment of glory.

Too many scenarios playing out in my head right now. For instance, April: she was slightly inebriated when she left the bar...but a drunk driving incident would be too expected. Shondra is too clever for that. Could be the chief. He seemed to shift in this past episode...he's done his job, his residents are all grown up now, and his wife is sleeping with other people lol. Pretty sure it won't be Derek.. been there done that. For some reason, some strange reason, my gut is telling me that it's Karev. Sure he wasn't on the plane, but I don't think the victim derives from the plane crash anyway. One thing is for sure, it's going to be an agonizing week for Grey's fans =(

Yes! It really makes sense that April would go to the scene and be absolutely amazing as a trauma surgeon so Owen would have a reason to hire her back.
I don't like the plane crush idea, it's just repetitive, how many huge life-threatening events can happen in a person's lifetime? There has been the ferry, there has been the shooting... That's why I think that Derek will not be too severely injured because he already almost died during the shooting.
Similarly, a car accident involving Callie (or her otherwise near death experience) would be a repetition.
Killing Arizona would be a repetitive storyline for Callie who already lost one spouse. However, they might still go through with it because now with Sophia the plot could go differently. I don't think though that Shonda would want to destroy Callie-Arizona because their marriage can be considered a valuable contribution to the diversity on TV...
That would leave Lexie. I hate to think that they would kill off a character wh

It sickens me to say it but to me the only person it makes sense to kill off is Lexie. They always kill my favorites! I have the strongest feeling it's going to be her, as do many others by the looks of it. I so badly wanted to buy into other people's reasons for other characters dying, but no matter how hard I try this just makes most sense. It has taken her and Mark so long to admit their feelings, it's so Grey's anatomyesque to kill one of them now. The Mark and Lexie saga is my favourite storyline, now they won't get to have their happy ending :(
If not Lexie I think the only other alternative is Kepner (incidently my least favourite character) but Lexie would have a much bigger impact.

I hate Shondra..it's going to be Lexie that dies. Lexie and Arizonia are both pinned, but Lexie's bleeding out her nose and mouth, also Mark is hugging Christina, and you can see Lexie's arm sticking outfrom under the plane. I bet that scene is right after Lexie dies. I am so mad! I only watched this season because Shondra told Slexie fans to hang in there, but she endsthe season by killing Lexie!? WTF?!

It's not Derek, Meredith, Alex, or Cristina because they all signed contracts. At :16 I'm pretty sure Mark is hugging Lexi because Callie wasn't on the plane. Lexi is under the plane, but they probaly cut the scenes on purpose to think Lexi is stuck. The only possible answer could be Arizona, or maybe April? She might come to help and get injured. I think Derek is helping Karev somewhere or something because they're both not dying, and this is going to bring the doctors just as close as the shooting from Season 6. I'm a young fan but this is just my guess. Webber isnt going anywhere either, Teddy shouldn't. So it's too hard to actually make an assumption. But, in Season 6 they said a life ended, and it turned out to not be a major character. I mean George died, but that was only because he wanted to leave the show. All characters are still on their contracts so maybe none die. I'm hoping!:) Thanks for reading lol.

Lexi.. April needs a job.. Since she failed her exam, she has to take it again next year.. Lexie would be taking the Exam with her next year.. And since April was just fired, if she were to stay in the show, she we need to replace another doctor.. Everyone is an official doctor to the hospital except for Lexi.. But.. Maybe since she is a main character, Lexi won't die.. Maybe April will commit suicide! April and Lexi are 2 of my favorite characters, but between those 2 and Arizona, I think it'd be Lexi! Guess we'll find out! I'm sure I'll be pissed about it too.. HA

At 0:16 it is definitely mark hugging Christina... If you look closely you can see an arm laying out from under the plane, exactly where lexie is trapped. I am so sad, she's my favorite but I'm 99% sure it's lexie that dies!
I read second page comments and i dont think april because she is probably is going to be the hero and owen will hire her back. If derek dies shonda will see the rating drop so fast even if he is in the flash backs. Mer just wouldnt be mer if at happened. I kinda think richard cause he is planning that safe dinner for them so you never know

He wasn't on the plane so unless they transport someone from the crash back to the hospital and they die there.... he wouldn't be around when they shoot in location at the crash.. which would lead me to believe April...
UNLESS
they do transport them back, it would be Lexie...

After reviewing some more I think it could be April. Since she was training to be a trauma surgeon perhaps they let her come to the scene and help with the rescue team and something goes wrong?

Mark's death would be a big, emotional deal, especially if he dies trying to save someone. Lexie will be devasted, so Mer has to stay in Seattle for her. If Mer stays, Cristina and probably Alex will stay too. Plus Mark is Derek's best friend and the father of Callie's baby, so it will change their lives too. But why is Richard planning a party for his residents when they are in a plane crush?!

I see one of you said that the writter said "when we filmed it on the scene" how about they make a rescue team and some of the other doctors that wherent on the crash go to help, and then somenthing else happes traying to get some of then out off danger. overall the only thing left for us to do is this "make stuff up an enjoy it"...........
