Harold Perrineau Cast as Damon Pope on Sons of Anarchy

Sons of Anarchy has added another major name to season five.

Following the news that Jimmy Smits will portray a dangerous mentor of Jax's this fall on the FX biker drama, we can now confirm (via TV Line) that Harold Perrineau (Lost) has signed on for the role of Damon Pope.

Pope, of course, was mentioned but not seen on the Sons of Anarchy Season 4 finale, after Tig ran over and killed his daughter in a high speed chase. Creator Kurt Sutter has made it clear that this Oakland-based gangster will be seeking revenge when SOA returns some time in September.

Filming on new episodes commenced this week and you can take a look now at what other characters Sutter has teased will come on board Sons of Anarchy Season 5.
