James Cromwell Cast in Key American Horror Story Role
An Oscar nominee is coming to American Horror Story.
In what FX sources say is the final key role of season two, James Cromwell has signed on to portray Dr. Arden, the head of the East Coast mental institution run by Jessica Lange's character and at which Chloe Sevigny will play a patient.
Cromwell is extensively known for his movie work, but did appear as Jack Bauer's father on season six of 24.

Other names attached to the second season of American Horror Story, which will likely debut in October, include:

Some of the same actors, but playing totally different characters. New setting is supposed to be an abandoned asylum on the east coast. There aren't many more details that have been released yet, AFAIK...

Ok, the east coast setting HAS to be in New England. This guy looks like he belongs in Maine!
