@ Michael - Mark is Executive Producer of the show. I saw in an interview of his that he is the one that selected Jamie Lee as his love interest. As executive producer he has some control over what goes on with the show and the direction it takes. He may not be the top dog but he has influence with the pack.

I noticed on a different blog, that Jamie Lee is listed under re-accruing cast with Brian Dietzen?!?. That is so disrespectful to Brian. Brian has been a dedicated member of the show for many years and to continue to list him as second fiddle.. SMH!.
It seems that Mark Harmon is too busy getting his onscreen rocks off kissing and hugging on Jamie lee and raking in the $500M per episode and not caring about who got him to that point. The Fans.. Yes, WE (the Fans) got you that Mega pay check Mark, and you should at least show some respect. Get rid of the waist of space "girl friend" that works with you on all you assignments and gets in the way of the show and go out and get a GF that has nothing to do with NCIS, or works for the government, or is a lawyer, and does not take over the show..
**Note to the Writers of NCIS: Gibbs’ GF should be a side dish not the main course.
