OMG! Fantastic season finale cliff-hanger. Please--don't let Ducky die--nor McGee, Abby, Gibbs, Tony, Ziva or Palmer. Hope that's not asking too much. Jamie Lee Curtis?--hope she never comes back. What a lousy character--couldn't stand her smart-ass comments all the time--especially to Gibbs. Anxiously awaiting next season.

I don't think the phone call was about the bomb. Ducky said "don't move the bodies until I get there". There would be no doubt how the bomb victums died - why would Ducky's diagnosis matter.
I think the call was about people at the wedding. I think Dearing found a way to poison the people at the wedding and that is who died. Also, I wonder about the beach. There is not a single person on the beach with Ducky. The lighting is off. When the scene started, I thought he was dead (even though I knew about his contract) because of the lighting, music and the fact that no one was on the beach. He was in his tux but Brina and Jimmy got married early in the day - this scene was later in the day and if Ducky wasn't at the wedding, he wouldn't be dressed up.
So, I think all our friends in DC survive, but many injured. Some of Brina's people might be dead or seriously injured, but I hope not Brina herself.

I hope all of them are alive. As for Cole he may have been a criminal but what he did was noble, I guess.

Please let that be the end of Jamie Lee Curtis character. I hope Ducky is OK. He is important to the show.

If they are going to keep this once-excellent series from Jumping The Shark (it may already be too late), they MUST get some new writers who will take the storylines out of the sit-com arena and return the show to its roots. I know that after this many seasons it is hard to come up with fresh material, but further deluting the realism is really the kiss of death. We already have NCIS-LA if we want to watch yet another "buddy" series.

This was a very strange ending to a mediocre season of what used to be my favorite show!
Whoever comes back, I hope they get a better writer . My guess is Ducky will be saved from high tide and his stroke by Jimmy and will be back in great form!
Kind of stupid how everyone delayed leaving when they knew there was a bomb outside. Aren't these professionals! Abby, I understand because she is so isolated in basement and probably had loud music playing. Hope Tim survives, I love him, but his voice is very weak!
JLC must go! I think she was strange all throughout the show. How come she always knows when to show up. very suspicious!
She is not right for Gibbs. Yuch ! Would the producers please read these comments. nobody likes her.
If the writing doesn't get better for Tony, he could leave show and do a spin off of Robert "Daddy" Wagner's great show with Stephanie Powers. Tony would be wonderful as a spy, like his TV Dad or The Thin Man.

The finale has come and gone and it's like so what.I use to be so excited for each and every episode-no more.I did not hate this episode but it was not good enough to be a finale except for the last few minutes. Loved Ducky throughout the episode and laughed when Gibbs told Vance he wouldn't take a bullet for him(It was nice to see Vance for a change). At first I said a team episode but then realized this was a Ryan episode(not a Gibbs and Ryan). She had all the power, made all the calls and the team was doing busy work while Gibbs sat and let Ryan answer everything. But a crazed father was able to outsmart her-Interesting-Yes??
Just hope next season starts right where the this episode ended so we can see what happens to each member. And I hope that Ryan is gone.
Will I buy season 9 DVDs-NO!! And that is so sad!

I am a great supporter of a possiple Tony/Ziva relationship and being trapped together in the elevator could give them plenty of time to examine their feelings for each other. Tony is my favorite character and though I know that being funny is part of his character, I am really tired of seeing him as the team's clown and target of jokes. I think after 9 seasons its time for some changes in his behaviour.

Please bring them all back, show needs Gibbs,Tony,Ziva Ducky,Abby and Jimmy. Great show, they all play off one another so well, that is what makes the show sooooo great. If Tim is not well, I could see him leaving. As for Ryan no good for Gibbs, Lady lawyer or Kates sister would be much better.

Why is everyone here so worried about Ducky? David McCallum signed a two-year contract so he's not going anywhere, unless his ghost is going to haunt NCIS for the next two seasons. Ducky will obviously be found by Palmer. David McCallum probably renewed his contract after they finished filming that episode, and the writers set up his possible death just in case he didn't come back. TV seasons usually start filming in July to air in September, so we should know about Michael, Pauley, and Sean's contract negotiation status pretty soon, if not later then June. If they all resign, then we'll know all the characters are fine. Jeez, relax people.

Talking about a cliffhanger! I don't want to wish my life away, but I can't wait till next season. I sorta agree with FlorJackson... the man that plays Tim has lost a lot of weight and I've noticed his voice has gotten higher/thinner. PLEASE keep the core group together. I think Vance will not be back. This is gonna be a long summer...

Have been watching since the pilot - day one.
My thoughts, no not Duckie - David McCallum - watched him since Man from Uncle. Maybe Palmer sves him before going back to NCIS HQ o r what is left of it.
McGee is dead - shame
Gibbs is seriously wounded ( spends entire of next season recovering) Abby is alive - she bravely works on but wants to be by his side.
Tony and Tiva alive - survive ensuing fire
So Tony, Tiva, Palmer, Abby are left - Ryan comes back to head dept with Tony. They find Deering by end of the next season. They take him out in a raid that is reminiscent of how they took out Bin Laden.

I loved this episode as a cliff hanger, however, this show is a success because of each and every actor on the show. We cannot afford to lose any of these people. Ducky is a vital part of this whole NCIS family. We need him to be rescued and we need him to recover from the heart attack. PLEASE KEEP THIS CAST TOGETHER!!!!!!

My wish for next year is for the writers to have a special page on their computers where they can bring up previous things written about each character. That way they can check it before writing a script that is out of character. Take Tony’s character, for instance. He has been cheap and generous. A generous person is usually generous and cheap one is cheap. Why would Tony give such a cheap, thoughtless gift to his confidant, Jimmy Palmer? Remember when he met Jimmy in the garage to talk about a case for which Tony was responsible? (like Gibbs and Ducky) Why would Tim and Ziva bring up the regifting in front of Jimmy? It only hurts Jimmy. Jimmy sweetly hugs Tony to break the awkwardness. Tony gave his Halloween winnings to the Baltimore police kid’s fund. I can see the humor in Tony’s getting out of paying for lunch money by betting Tim. That can be humorous. It’s not cheap....it’s the challenge to Tony to pull one over on Tim. I wish for consistency and growth f

this sentence "Palmer himself could be at risk. His whereabouts at the time of the explosion were unknown, and perhaps it was news about Jimmy sent Ducky into shock. That's just one of many theories, of course." shouldn't have been written paler flew somewhere else for his wedding and ducky was with him so no way is palmer at risk
First time poster, and I have watched NCIS too many times on USA, CBS and my DVD's. I have a couple comments and theories on what will happen.
-McGee, could be dead. Getting the worst out of the way. My friends and I have noticed that this season, Sean Murray, as a person (not the character), has been extremely pale, and his voice has become extremely weak.(Compare this season to the season before and it is pretty evident) So we have been wondering if the actor has some sort of ailment. If he does, and it impairs his ability to work a full season, this might be the perfect time for NCIS to get Tim out. Plus, I believe he has yet to renew his contract =/(I LOVE TIM btw. I don't want to see him go, but a person's health comes first, plus he is a father.) This is all complete speculation.
-Ducky is not dead. He get's saved, and for the first half of the season, Palmer steps up. It would be a great way to show Palmer as a proficient ME, which he probably has been since season 3.

That's the best the writer could do? Was that supposed to be amusing? It stunk, and it only made DiNozzo look cheap when it came to his friend Palmer. The writer missed the boat there, Bigtime. As far as McGee's voice -everyone knows it's changed. Just go back to any season before 8 and you will clearly see the difference. I'm not sure why, but it is noticeable. I'm not sure how I feel about S10 yet. I would rather that S10 be the last one, than to keep having these great characters tossed about in the wind by the lackluster script writing.
Ziva: I'm sorry if I hurt you in all of this. It was never intended. Tony, I care too much about our…friendship. I do not want it to be awkward betwee...
