ooooh. I think that I agree with the statement that technically Der wouldnt be leaving the show, just will be absent in a coma from the plane crash, heard a spoiler say that he was taken from the inside of the plane, really traumatic....
then Mer would have to stay, to take care of him and Zola....meaning Yang would stay to take care of her "person" aka Mer, then Yang could stay to work on things with Owen.... :)

It could be April, I mean she did run out of the bar....drunk....with Avery following her. She could be hit by a car or commit suicide somehow, since she believes that Jesus hates her and nothing is going good for her right now. It's basically led up to this point....it would be really sad, but no one is thinking that because of the plane. I think that Derrick will be majorly hurt. causing him and Mer to stay....
I've been a fan since day 1 and I love the show. As for who is going to die I personally think it might be Arizona that would be unexpected and because she is actually pregnant in real life. I may be wrong that she's not the one that is going to die but a little part of me think she my be the one. Now if its not from the plane crash then I think it might be April(wish she doesn't die) she is probably going to get hit by car, when she left the bar, or she'll probably commit suicide because she's feeling guilty that she broke her promise to God but is she a main character? Arizona is more then a main character then she is. Lexie and Mark needs to finally be happy with each other and I wouldn't want Mark to regret not saying that he loves her back.

Am I the only one who actually likes April? Okay, yeah, so she's a little bonkers. She makes me smile and laugh, though! Such a unique character! I sadly *can* see her going off the deep end (arguably, she has done so already) and committing suicide. I'll personally cry, if she dies. To me, April is a "beloved" character. Ugh. Just, why?! I don't want any of them to go ;A;
I think the plane people are safe. Killing one of them off is too predictable for Shonda.
Also: LOL. Couldn't the "person to die" be the plane's pilot? I don't see her/him making it.

I want Owen to be the one to die. Or at least have the death be his fault, so then he'd GTFO. I used to support him and Cristina, back in Season 5. But he has MURDERED her character! When Cristina called Owen "her person", I just wanted to punch her...or my TV...or Shonda. MEREDITH is your person, Cristina! Not that scumbag!

If anyone is leaving the show (besides Ben who has a new series) it's gotta be Avery. If you look at the actor's career, it's really taking off so it would only make sense for him to focus on movies and leave a show that will be over soon anyway. Maybe April kills him while drunk driving. Having said that, they have only stated that a main character dies; they haven't said the actor who plays that character is leaving the show. Meredith has a very long history of seeing dead people. Given that, it could be anyone close to her...Derek, Yang?

What would be worse than that? Oh how about one of the best brain surgeons in the world having a brain injury or in a coma. Writers love comatose actors. They won't be going anywhere for a while and Yang will stay for Grey and be her person while McD is out of it.
Az's friend will die and Calli won't be able to save him. Calli is not leaving we all love her too much, besides she has been through the ringer enough lately *cough* car wreck while preggers. (contract or not)
Umm who else...
Mark and Lexi will eventually work out their crap (lots of good drama with that one still). Karev will stay because basically at heart he is a good guy (guilt sucks, but it's a great motivator).
Zola will not die that would just be stupid and would alienate a lot of their viewers who just happen to be mothers (nothing worse than playing on a mothers worse nightmare, especially around Mother's day).

I believe it is either lexie or mark.. Shonda rhimes said to a reporter that she cant imagine how the fans are gonna react to this one! Everyone wants to see what comes of mark and lexie so she took that relationship made lexie come clean to mark only for one of them to DIE!

A theory: (a drunk) April (accidentially) killing Hunt. Hunt was happy so that would make it a little easier. And Yang is pregnant, not making abortion no 3. This will make Yang stay, a competition for next chief.
April can keep her job since nobodoy (except for Jackson) is aware that Hunt fired her.
Okay, so here's my scenario that I think would work well...
I think Callie dies, leaving Arizona, who will then make the decision to take that trip with her friend to be with him in his final days. This would leave Mark as the sole guardian of Sofia.
Recently Mark has been presented with the opportunity to be with Julia, who now is pressing the issue of having a baby. Lexi confessed her Love for Mark, which has left him with a tough decision to make.
So... Now that Mark has to care for Sofia alone, he will dismiss his relationship with Julia. However, Lexi will now have the opportunity to, not only be with Mark, but to make up for her biggest mistake of leaving him in the past when he found out he had a daughter from a relationship many years ago.
Now, mer and der, yang and Owen (because she will stay after this traumatic experience), mark and Lexi will all be back together... Kerev will stay due to Arizonas absence, and April will be hired back since Callie is no longer there.

Its Arizona, she's not an important character and she's preggo, she might want to leave the show. April is also preggo in real life but she could just be preggo from Jackson on the show.

It will be callie- after there heart-to-heart last night(great foreshadowing!) The promo says about them being unable to save one of their own-- there are all in a plane crash, and callie might have been able to survive if one/some/all of them had of been at the hospital--

for some reason i think they're gonna pull a trick on us. and not kill anyone at the plane crash. but Kill adele. it would affect the chief MAJORLY. and meredith. plus it would make mark get back together with lexie because you never know when you're gonna die. and it'll have karev stay at the hospital because as you can see him and the chief have no created a bond. so idk. that's my idea or it would be Arizona's best friend. x:

It has already been released that Mer, Der, Alex, Bailey, Christina, and Richard all signed a 2year contract... There staying for 2more seasons... Like someone said earlier this show will leave u to think its the crash, they showed the crash but just generally said someone's going to die, but I think it's going to be back at the hospital where someone dies. They are indicating more and more that it's a main character and the only main character that didn't sign that was there from the very beginning was Callie... The last episode they captures a moment with Arizona crying telling Callie not to leave her, but I think thats what would make everything even more sad, knowing what Arizona been through knowing her character deeper then taking Callie away... They eyed in on Georgia and pretty much had a special on izzy... I think it's Callie on this one... If all else fails, she is the only original who didn't sign....

First of all given what we know about the contracts here's what could happen:
Dies at the plane crash site: Arizona, Lexi or Mark.
Grey, Yang and Derek just signed contracts.
Arizona would work because she's never been in mortal danger before. George may have been killed of but he was nobody to Callie at that point so it's not really recycling a "Callie loses someone" story. Also one of the only ways I can work out how Alex ends up staying. Mark would have to put Julia's plans of for a while leaving an in for Lexi.
Lexi would also work because she would affect Meredith magorly. Maybe a chance to bring Mer's dad back to the fold ? Would also affect Mark a lot.
Mark dieing is weak. It wouldn't really change much because his gf Julia is not in the show much and his only bond is with Avery or Lexi. I guess watching them deal with it would be ok but it's the "least interesting death". Losing his mentor wouldn't do much to Avery and it would only take Lexi a few episodes to g

I believe Arizona is going to die. It will mean giving Karev her place at SGMW, and he'll give up Hopkins. She also threw Karev out of going to Boise because of his choice... That's my prediction.

Kepner offs herself because Jesus hates her for having sex, she failed the boards, and got fired..
of if something dark happened, like Zola dies.. that would give Mer and Der something to work on next season, and Shonda said something about theyre finished house like "I hope we can still use it next season" if something happened to zola, they wouldn't want to live in the house they built to have a family..
if Arizona dies.. Karev will stay, but Robbins and Torres just got through that accident, so they don't need more trauma. Plus, George died. Calli can't have both her husband and wife get killed off.
If Mark or Lexi die, there will have been no point in dragging out their Romeo and Juliet type romance for.. ever.
Who knows, I'm just glad its not mer Christina Derk the chief bailey or karev.
Meredith: Get this baby out of me safely and you can have whatever you want.
