I really think it is Adele that dies. She has Alzheimer and living in a nursing home. The actress who plays Adele has a new show anyways. She plays on the client list.
Teddy, Owen and April are not beloved at all. That just leaves Lexie, Callie & Arizona. I really hope its Lexie, she was hardly there onscreen this season, plus her death will make Mark spiral which'll be interesting to see. I just don't want CalZona to die. They already suffered a huge trauma last season. **FINGERS CROSSED**

I'm glad for the originals but if something happens to either Callie or Arizona, I'll be really mad !!!
I wish it was April but as Shonda said it'd be a "beloved character", it can't be her !
I'd say it's between Adele/Owen/Teddy/Mark/Lexie/Jackson.
And probably more among these 3 : Adele/Owen or Lexie.

The worst part will be waiting till next season to find out who it is that dies- the spoilers clearly say that its a cliff hanger-and is written so all or nonw of them come back-- so we really wont know all summer who actually ends up dead.

I just wanna say that I will be REALLY FRIGN ANNOYED if it's Lexie, Mark, Mer, Derek, Yang, Jackson, April, Arizona, Bailey. or Torres. . The rest will be way sad, but won't ruin the show.
Shonda, seriously, the drama is entertaining, but knock it off! Death isn't closure, dang it.

I think it will be Callie (she's pregnant in real life) and will want a break. Of course Arizona is also pregnant in real life but the previews show her crying her eyes out. Lexie dying would have an effect on more characters and would be the most dramatic loss for the show ... Which Shondra Rhimes is famous for.
I'd say Lexie Grey 'cause a lot of reasons:
1) she is close with almost everyone, as a family member and a friend (Meredith's sister, Mark's love; Alex/Jackson's lover, April's friend & support). So, everyone would be shocked and devastated with Lexie's death,
2) Shonda talked about a bittersweet ending -> I can imagine Mark and Lexie admitting their love to each other and deciding that they lost enough time to officially live together -> they could decide to get married in Vegas for example...) and then patatra, the plane accident happens and Lexie dies further to her wounds, letting Mark who would have attend to this scene, devastated...
3) well, let's be honest, Lexie Grey became useless season after season but there, unable to choose between Alex, Mark and Jackson... she was a total mess!

I never wanted to admit, but I think it may be Lexie. She is my favorite character, but I could easily see her having her ultimate moment with Mark only to pass away, meanwhile Mark (and most of the characters) will be truly be devastated.
(Although, I still cling on to hope that it's Adele)

i do like debbie though i hope she stays on too :)and i think once derek and mer see the finished house they wont want to leave it.. if nothing because of everything it stands for. and now that i think about it... owen would be someone that would hurt everyone and make them stay.. but teddy hasnt had much air time and the last time that happened t.r knight said he was leaving and they killed him off.

I think teddy is more of a reason for cristina to stay... if teddy dies cristina could be offered to take her place so not only would her friends and so called husband need her for support but the hospital will too and might even offer more money with the experience she has there.

I think it's Owen. It makes perfect sense. It'll devastate Christina and then she'll have to stay in Seattle because she'll need Meredith. And Meredith and McDrreamy will stay in Seattle to take care of her. Makes absolutely perfect sense. That settles the residents choosing Seattle over the other job offers. It has to be someone that devastates one of their core people and then it also creates the drama of who gets to be Chief. Maybe they'll bring back Debbie Allen as a regular and she'll be a love interest for Richard. I also heard Kevin McKidd (Owen) might be up for a role in Game of Thrones, which is a step up.

It makes sense that it would be Lexie. Her and Mark are just about the reconcile and she hasn't had much screen time this season. She is pretty much an original and is Mer's sister. Her dying would be devastating and I think we'd see Mark in a bit of torment which we haven't seen much of before...
I don't think Calzona, Owen or April will go as they have all had their own trauma's (car crash, breakdown of marriage, board failure) recently.
Umm, you guys.. just because a character is dead, doesn't necessarily mean the actor/actress won't be showing up. I mean, what other character can we give a brain tumor, or dimension to?
(Ahem. Just kidding.)
I wish they would have waited until the finale. This is really ruining the suspense... and we're running out of league runners. I REALLY have been taken to Teddy, so I pray that she doesn't get the scalpel. :(

I kinda wish they hadn't told us. There was so much anxiety and excitement building til the finale, not knowing who was going to die ( I was worried about Cristina) and now its kinda gone. I'm not sure I'll get as worked up about the rest, unless it's Owen or Calzona.
Why does anyone think it's the kids? That are not beloved charaters! They just showed up this season. They charaters cre, we we the audiance wont. I mean not really. It'll be an adult. I want Teddy! I mean I do hate her, but i can see her death shaking things up

McKidd tweeted that he´s not going anywhere and refuted death scares from fans while tweeting with Dempsey.
I think it might be Kepner, they are kinda building her up for a mental breakdown... If not, probably Callie (not a big fan but it wouldn´t the same anymore). Mark and Jackson are supposed to be safe ...

I hope they will bring back Izzie for season 9 onwards. Shonda and her co-writers can think of a clever way on how to make KHeigl's character re-appear. She can be someone visiting then later on got her job back again in SGH.
