Come on people, come on!It was an epic season finale and follows an epic season 9 premiere. One thing i always liked in G.A. is that it depicts real life...most of the times beautifully shown but still real life. And if u like a series you don't want to happen what YOU want to happen.You want to happen what the writer wants to happen,the one who wrote so profesionally the previous episodes that u loved!

I don't know if it's been said before but I ll say it anyway because, in hindsight, it foreshadows lexies death.
In that alternate reality episode wasn't she about to die? Couldn't that have been a warning from shonda? Just like how everyone else ended up where they were supposed to be, the same happened to Lexie.
That said I'm totally gutted. Really struggling to make sense of it. Can't remember the last, if ever, a characters death had made me so disturbed. :( its horrible to say but I hope Mark passes on to, so the can be together and at peace.

I did think of a dream version... Having watched way too many Final Destinations movies... But this is WAaAAAAAYYYYY too big.... we'll see, but I don't wanna get my hopes up....

@K120 Yeah right? And we haven't heard Chyler say anything about it yet, we can all just assume that she wanted to leave because of her family but until I hear her say it herself I'm not believing it. Maybe she didn't really die and it's a dream or she passed out. And maybe Shonda told us that Chyler was leaving and not coming back to throw us off. I mean she can't make us think she killed off a character then say " It was so hard to make the decision to kill Lexie, but don't worry Chyler will be back next season." LOL. So maybe there's hope? Less than a year ago Chyler said she wasn't going anywhere, she said that if Ellen didn't stay she would gladly take her place. Did she really change her mind from saying she would be the head of the show to not wanting to be on it at all so quickly? I don't know I'll keep hoping, I don't want her to die, she was the only reason I watched GA.

I didn't like it at all!!! Lexie and Mark were one of the main reasons I was watching Grey's Anatomy. It was such a shock, now I'm gonna feel like there's something missing from the show; for me it just won't be as good anymore...bad decision

Still hoping it's a dream, lol. Maybe Shonda and Chyler will realize how much the fans will miss her and Chyler will decide to come back.... I'm hoping it will be a dream or she just passed out or something. I know its unrealistic, but a bomb, a flood, a shooting, cancer, getting hit by buses and now a plane crash( and I think I forgot a few lol)all happening to a small group of people is already pretty unrealistic to me. So it being a dream or Lexie waking up and surviving by some wonderful miracle wouldn't be the most silliest thing to happen in Grey's Anatomy history, it is t.v afterall.

And I know we don't watch series to watch real life, but it is important to have that one episode that is real and non-romantic and not movie-like in a show whose main purpose is to give life lessons to people. I still agree that this is one of my least favourite season finales, but it still gives us a wake up call: Never postpone for tomorrow the things that you want and need to do in the present. I know everybody is saying how badly they chose to end Lexi's journey in the series and I didnt like it either, but still, i appreciate the way Shonda chose to execute this episode. She chose a realistic, raw and in your face approach because that is what life is like. Yes, Grey's Anatomy has had some of the best finales ever written in television history (my favourite being season 5's finale), but I like the fact that she chose for a change to make a realistic tragic episode, instead of the climax, the goodbyes and the ultimate tragic moment at the end of the episode that we all love. Because that is not real life, in real life you don't always get your final moment with someone, in real life death is unexpected and not when you expect it and you wish your last conversation or moment with someone wasn't a bad one. bad decision, i think many fans are disappointed right now...she sad that they are saying goodbye to her two favorite people....than why the hell she killled lexie? i mean, its not fair,and im so sick of this crap! ...it wasnt a right time for lexie to go! she needed to be with mark finally, become a chief resident...

Seriously, that was BAD BAD BAD move Shonda... I cried sooo hard, sobbed even ! But I knew... when asked who would die I said Lexie or Arizona. But still, Mark, what about him now? We haven't seen Julia that much to care enough, so is he gonna be with her now? If he loved Lexie that much, I don't think so... Though many couples have done it, stay together even though one loves another... And Mer ... that was baaaaad... It is my first comment since I've watched the episode. I just couldn't... I loved Lexie and Slexie, waited for sooo long for them to be back together....

Oh my LORD! I cried and cried so much! I knew somebody was going to die but still... when Lexie was dying and then Mark breaking up was bad enough but then Merediths heart wrenching sobs did me in totally! That ranks up there as one of the best (if not the best) Greys show ever!! Now we have to wait all the way to fall to see the next show! I think it might focus somewhat on Patricks ability to operate because of that injury... who knows! I just know tht I can't wait for my Thurs. night Greys!

This is a TV show if interesting and bad things didn't happen do really think would be as successful. You need the highs and you need the lows. If everything was happy all the time it would be utterly boring to watch. It is a story just let it be told and stop complaining.... Stop saying you won't watch anymore because you know you will, you can't help it! It's Too good not to!

Anyone but Lexie.. I haven't cried this hard in so long! And Mark! he finally found the one.. sure he had Addison and everyone else...but Lexie...she was the one. She changed him and made him a better man. They were my favorite couple! i'm heartbroken

Although I completely hated her dying. I hated it because we all loved lexie, didn't we? and because, in my opinion, it was taken so light, she died in the middle of the episode, most deaths are at the end, and it wasn't even dramatical, and that's what viewers love. I really thought that, if she was going to die, at least she was going to say goodbye to meredith, derek and sloan, and die slowly, not that fast! Seriously I think it's the WORST season finale of all times, the best being the shooting one, but this one, didn't like it at all, sorry shonda.

According to what i read, Chyler wanted to stay more time at home (or something like that) she asked shonda this season to give her some time off, that's why in this season we didn't see much of her. She has like 3 children (and again I read that 2 of them have problems-don't know what kind of problems) so i guess she wanted even more time.. so I do think it was a mutual decision

Like so many others, I can't believe Lexie is gone! She was one of my favorite people, next to Dr. Bailey and Dr. Karev on the show. I was hoping that Mark and Lexie would get back together.

Glad Lexie died, she was an annoying whining mess. She was Meredith before she "grew up" and became more like Christina. I hope Christina and Owen make it work. They are the reason I watch the show. Callie I love but Arizona she is annoying she can leave. Callie and Mark should hook up. Can't wait for next season. Great ending. I like it.

Good gawd. Meridiths life is like a country song! That poor woman catches very few beaks. Lexie dying just beggs me question Shonda in her writing in only one way. Why do they all have to friggin DIE? Cant they just go thier seprate ways from seattle grace? Sheesh! The only ones she leaves able to write back in are horrible characters fo begin with!

Let's be clear here, Shonda Rhimes wanted Lexie off the show. Let's not blab about how it was a mutal decision and all of that. Chyler Leigh had a few years left on her contract!

How many ppl in Meredith's life have to die? Her mom, her sister, her unborn child. Her friends. I just really feel for her.
Yang said it best, of all the things she's learned, between the bombs, the guns to her head and her friends being hit by buses, she wants to live.
And i remember every single one of these episodes.
I feel like Denny and george died all over again.....Now I'll add Lexie to the gravesite visits.

I absolutely hate this season finale!!!!! About Teddy leaving, thats ok, her character didnt have much to do anyways... But Lexie dying?? Really?? That pisses me off!!!!! Honestly, Lexie and her story with Mark was the reason I was so into the show this year... How can u guys kill her like that? You know she was a loved one by all the fans, and there was a lot that could be written between her and Mark, why not doing so?
Im also pissed because in this 8 seasons, where I watched every single episode of them, even more than once... This was the worst finale ever! Honestly to the writers, this one was so poorly written and you can easily see that as it was only one hour episode, instead of 2 hours as it usually is... What was going on? If you got tired of writting for grey's, then let others do the job but dont screw it up like this!!!
