@Jane - The guy in the back seat of the limo is Agent Wainwright, shot dead. He was duct taped and gagged with a cell phone strapped to him through which Red John had talked to Jane.

Sick and tired of the whole Red John plot line. The writers are just jerking the fans around at this point. Its become unoriginal and plodding. This whole 'Holmes and Moriarty' affair needs to be wrapped up like 'Incident at Reichenbach Falls' and move on. There are other good motivations to keep Jane going to be had. If Heller and team have any skill, they can find them.

thank u ghostwriter. no offense chris, but ur a fool. it is patrick jane holding his nose and doing the voice of red john. i had 25 people from off of this site who agreed with me. it is not dillahunts voice. listen to it over and over. simon baker is australian and does a very recognizable american accent. the voice of red john was definitely simon bakers voice.

They should start closing up on Red John. These seasons with only 2-3 episodes out of 24 about Red John case is a bit dull. As a matter a fact, this case is the one that is keeping The Mentalist still interesting...we are already over Jane`s ability of solving cases for his team with his mind tricks. Now the real excitement is about to come. Hopefully they will not kill the girl that knows Red John and they will bring some more light on Red John`s character. They could even make a couple of episodes about how he is following Jane so close.
If any of the The Mentalist team is reading this, give us at least 1 out of 4 episodes with Red John. Give us something to look forward to every episode..not every season finale.

Hi...it´s funny talking abpout this ...:-) it,s kind of freak.
Anyway, how can anybody say that Patrick is Red Jhon after chapter 2x24 "RedSky in the Morning" when Patrick was kidnapped by two students that were imitating Red Jhon, and sunddenly appears the real Red Jhon and kill them. All of this happens in front of Patrick....

I think it's that csi type guy from a while back....blond I think. He was in the scene where he was saying the killing was RJ, and Patrick comes in and says it's not. His voice is the same, and so is his body and face build. I think FJ inserts himself in certain areas to be around Jane...we shall see.

It was not Simon Baker's voice. Listen again, it sounds alot like Garret Dillahunt.

it is simon baker holding his nose. you people are crazy if u can not tell its his voice. maybe its to throw us off. play it back 100 times if u want. it is simon bakers voice. i know patrick met red john before, but maybe he is crazy. either way listen over and over, its his voice. 5 people at my job just agreed with me and they never watched it

Not as good as last season's finale, but still extremely awesome, loving the whole painting outside the (story) lines thats been leading up to this finale, and eagerly looking forward to seeing the much darker side of Jane in the next season.
Not sure about the Sunday switch, but thats not gona stop me personally from watching.

I'll go farther than the rest of you and say that The Mentalist has jumped the shark. They've gone too far. Faked two deaths and caused the FBI to kill the CBI station chief. Jayne is getting increasingly harsher. The show used to be a group of interesting people pulling talents together to solve cases. Now, it's figuring out how far Patrick Jayne has gone overboard. The show has lost it's way. I don't see how they'll bring it back in any way that's remotely believable or enjoyable unless they pull "Bob Newhart" and have someone wake from a bad dream.
I believe they've lost me as a fan unless they take a drastic turn to open the next season.

Simon is under contract for 3 more years of the show, so relax. Knowing Bruno Heller, he's planning more bombshells to keep things not only interesting, but riveting. I'm entirely satisfied with just the regular CBI stuff...Red John brings out the wackos. PATRICK IS NOT RED JOHN...get over it!

Did anyone notice the new cloness between Jane and Lisbon which, of course Red John ruins, by having his female deciplre inform Lisbon that they were lovers . Wonder where all that's going

I too am tired of red John story line enough already end it. Love the show and cast. Don't like the move to Sunday. Glad Csi Miami is gone- the Horatio look got old for me after the second season and haven't watched it since. Mentalist has many more seasons if Red John line ends. Otherwise it goes the way of CSI Miami in my book.

i just played it back 5 times it was 10000% simon baker with a low voice. whether its to throw us off or not i dont know but its his voice. i cant wait till the fan forums agree with me. i cant believe they thought fans wouldnt figure that out

I'm also tired of the red John story line. I enjoy the regular CBI investigations. I don't think Sunday night is a good move for the show :(
