The week before this episode aired The Simpsons did a season finale. This was just a shameless ratings grab, and like many things the stage persona of Lady Gaga is involved in, this was so overdone I can't even call it satire. That and the four or five Apple computer adds make this the worst episode of the season.
As a huge Lady Gaga fan, I have to say that this is one of the weaker episode in season 23. Lady Gaga herself is a great voice performer, but it's the writers poor plot pacing and the abrupt end of Lisa's depression that lead this episode into a 'overhyped' zone. It could be better...

I've thought the Simpsons has been downhill for a year or two, but recently it's gotten unexpectedly better. The Gaga episode was actually FUNNY! I ROFL'd at many of the jokes and the outrageous Gaga train, complete with powerful afterbras, not to mention Ned's comments when Gaga turned on the boob-torches: "now unless you're gonna slap some wieners on those, turn 'em off!" Really, with all the sight gags, Gaga self-spoofing, and Lisa insecurity, plus the gratuitous sex between Marge and Homer after Gaga kisses Marge, what's not to like? Then we even got the Homer Face song! Dudes and Dudettes, this was a funny episode! Not a 5-star effort like the early days 20 years ago, but definitely 4-star. It immediately went on my favorites list.

Hey put a Zero in your star ranking please. This was without a doubt the WORST EPISODE IN SIMPSONS HISTORY! And those who disagree check out the No Homers club, the real fans. 0's all the way!

Not bad but I thought it would be better. I liked that Gaga had a big role but there wasn't much plot. Gaga did great.

I thought this episode was poorly written and was primarily aired to increase lady gaga's popularity. The simpsons should stick to pretend characters instead of having a full show with a celebrity in. Last week's episode should have been the final one.
2/10
I've never been a big lady gaga fan, so this episode didn't do much for me. It was good, but I felt that last Weeks episode would have made a better finale, you know, with the whole nedna story coming full circle. And they put a lot of twitter hashtags on this episode! That was different. Overall, it's the Simpsons, and I heart them, and looking forward to next season!

I thought the absolute best part of this episode was the closing credits with Homer singing "Homer Face." That was hilarious!
