Everyone is hating on Stefan regarding him saving Matt, buut does anyone think what it would do to Elena if Matt died in her place? How many people have died for her? Imagine how much guilt the girl is feeling at this point. Matt is someone that she loves dearly and you can see in season 3 how much she needs him. A stable, human relationship where there is no conflict or confusion who can just be there for her during this mess. Out of everyone, Matt is the most innocent. He was only involved to save her. Stefan would risk her being mad at him (see Season 2) but he won't take that choice away from her knowing what it would do to her, even though it would have killed him. It was Elena's choice; the same one her dad make. And I can tell you, she would make it again because that is who she is. Stefan will always carry this guilt with him but it was the right choice. It's about time people stop dying because of this girl (Jenna, Abby and company) He probably thought he could make it back to

Otherwise I liked Tyler - Klaus thing but I really hope that Tyler is still in his own body and it's the same thing like with Alaric's alter ego.
Please let Nina play Katherine once again. I love Nina as Katherine :))
I'm going to spend a part of summer watching almost all episodes once again and maybe I'll find a way to like Stefan and Elena more because in my opinion they're cute it's just that I don't support relationships just because they're cute. But I'm not going to change sides I just want to like S/E relationship more. And ofcourse Stefan's character because I like his relationship with Damon.

They're amazing together and it's sad that I'm almost (80 - 90%) sure that Julie will never give them a chance. Maybe we'll see their other kisses in s4 and in a few seasons after that but I think that's pretty it. But as long as I'll see them together there I'm quite o.k. with that. But I'll be just upset if they don't give him someone else for awhile. :( (I'd like to have a new character for him because Rebecca is not an option for awhile cause she is the reason why Elena died.)
And yes I think that Damon should learn to respect most of Elena's decisions but I'll totally understand his anger after he will learn that Stefan chose to save Matt instead of Elena. And you know what? It's so clear that writers made this because it was the only normal thing they have been able to come up with to make Elena a vampire. I'm sure that Stefan would have been able to save both at once. Bad move Julie.

I liked this season finale. But although I think that Stefan and Elena's kiss was sweet that's pretty it. Nothing else. I guess my life is enough boring that if I was Elena I'd take a risk to be with Damon anytime even if it wouldn't last longer than a few months. Sorry but from all characters I've ever seen on tv and movie screen Stefan is the most boring character ever (and it's really NOT Paul Wesley's fault much). I've always liked all moments with him when he was a ripper but otherwise I really don't need him to be there. Not that I hate him I just don't care about him at all. But at the same time I'm sure why I love Damon and Elena. This my love and obsession is still there because of Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev. No matter how they tried to hide it their chemistry is there even onscreen. Actually they're already the third couple I support as much onscreen as in real life. through a book if you didn't like something? NO! You'd read until the end. Now, if they series ends in a crappy way, it's okay to feel cheated or get a bit miffed...but even THAT won't warrant anger towards REAL people over fictional characters and stories. Besides, it's clear Julie Plec is passionate and cares about the show...she honestly seems to want to do it justice and really cares about the story and characters. Why don't people give her a break and let her tell the story?
Also, can I just say that I am a Delena shipper. But, I totally get why Plec and Co decided to do what they did in having Elena pick Stefan. He was her rock in tough times and Elena lost everything...he was there for her in her human life when she didn't want to live. Damon was not a stable choice for Elena. And Plec said that this is only half-way through the story...with the triangle as the main premise of the show, she is sure to go back to Damon at some point. Personally, I'd like to see Damon as end-game for the series, but the Stefan choice really does make sense with the story if you think about it. He's going to have to be there when she transitions. He is the person that helps her through things.
Also, I really can't believe the way fans are attacking the writers and show runner over a choice made on a TV SHOW. People are just ridiculous. It's not real life, people! Just enjoy the story (or don't). You don't even know the ending yet...would you get pissed halfway t
5. If there WERE no ambulances and Stefan took her to the hospital anyway, shouldn't he have high-tailed it out of there with Elena before she woke up in the morgue??
6. Why didn't Damon try to bite Elena during their first meeting? Is it because she looked like Katherine? I mean, he was pretty bad-ass in Season 1. Doling out love advice? Kind of out of character, even if it did add into the story-line.
7. So, is Tyler in Klaus' body or are they sharing Tyler's body? How is Klaus going to overcome the nasty burns that stake gave him?
Questions I need answered after ruminating on this episode a few days:
1. Did Elena know she had vampire blood in her system when she asked Stefan to save Matt?
2. What was stopping Elena from just unbuckling her seat-belt and swimming out herself (other than the need for her to die to complete the story-line).
3. What was Stefan doing on the bridge anyway? Did he have a feeling Bex would go after Elena? Was he running out to stop Matt from taking her out of town?
4. Why did she go the morgue? Even if Stefan didn't know she had vampire blood in her system at first, surely Meredith told him at some point. They both knew she wasn't DEAD dead. Wouldn't some hospital workers freak out to see the dead girl from the morgue stroll out later? Did ambulances and police officers go to the scene of the accident and bring her to the hospital? If so, won't they FREAK OUT when they see her alive later?
5. If there WERE no ambulances and Stefan took her to the hospital

Just few little things that bothered me in the last episode.. First,I really wish Klaus had died.. instead of being transfered to Tyler's body. Second, I understand in a way why she picked Stefan over Damon, it was unconditional love, but she will always caring Damon with her, she can't shake him. & Now that we know for a fact he met her first, hopefully as a vampire she remembers that & it changes her min.d Third, the end scene with Elena's eyes opening as a vampire was indentical to Bella's eyes opening at the end of Breaking Dawn part 1. Yes, Elena does become a vampire in the book, but the show is nothing like the book. & Forth, I hope that turning her doesn't screw up the show, the way that killing Marisha off of the OC screwed up in that show and only gave them one more season. I love TVD that much & I want it to go on for more than just one more season. Tho now that Elena's a vampire I really don't see it going past 4 seasons :(

Elena makes the easy choice and for stupid reasons. What happens in the car does not make sense, or it means Stefan does not love her how it's supposed, because, although Damon's overprotection is a little exagerated, if you love someone you don't let her die, no matter what happens next. What Damon says is true, it doesn't matter is she hates you, what matters is that she is ok. Stefan does not let her make their choices because of respect but because he doesn't want her to get mad at him. That's a very weak character and a very selfish actitude. I hope that now that Elena is a vampire and she will have her feelings intensified she will choose wisily. On the other hand, she will remember all the things she was compelled to forget, so maybe she will reconsider things.

2nd what really pissed me off was Stefan's inability to make a choice and saving Matt's life instead of the life of the girl that he love out of respect for her decisions which is something I can't understand and the concequences of his actions are that Elena is gonna turne into a vampire cause of Meredeth treatment (vampire blood) for Elena which means that if Elena didin't have vampire blood in her sistem when she was drowning she should be dead by now and I really don't want to think how it would be when Damon finds out that his brother sacrificed Elena's life cause he was respecting her decision.

Amazing episode and the most emotional episode of TVD so far. It's insane how everything went, somehow everyones life has changed one way or another. 1st I want to say that I feel really sorry for Damon, Elena & Jeremy: the phone call scene between Damon & Elena, the idea of Damon dying alone, knowing that he was the first one who saw Elena and not telling her that even when he thought he's gonna die, his reaction when Alaric died ( find out that Elena: the girl that he love and want to protect her by his life is dead ), Jeremy see Alaric's goest and find out that the last member of his family: his sister is dead and Elena drowning remembering her accident with her parents and going to became a vampire which is something she doesn't want, well I think this is the true meaning of TRAGEDY.

Major disappointment although despite her actions, Elena confessed to feeling passion for Damon (he consumes her) and gratitude to Stefan for saving her once (has she forgotten how often damon saved her??). None of it made sense, but I hope that this means that the tension and depth of emotion between them will grow - especially now that she has become one of "them". Thanks to Stefan she is dead. I loved the look on Damon's face when the implication of what Dr Fell has done suddenly hits him. If memory serves, he attempted to force vampirism upon her at least once, possibly twice, and regretted it when he realized that taking away Elena's free will would have made her hate him. He is beyond shocked that Dr Fell resorted to it.

I have enjoyed this whole series very much, except that not too far into the series I got very tired of the Elena role. It got to the point that she was nothing but trouble everytime you turned around. Talk about screwing up every time she made a move. Boaring!!!! Somehow this person needs to be phased out....

- your in war, its not like other people dying doesn't matter because it does- it's just that your family matters more (read Stefan, Elena, for Damon) Elena is number one for Damon and in the midst of all this chaos that is all that matters- just like elena was number one priority for her father.

He cares for Bonnie (because I do things, Bonnie. Like let my friend Ric die with dignity when i should have just killed him instead and feeding you my blood) and when Rebecca wanted to save Klaus Damon pushed her back (despite that fact that Elena had accused Damon of NOT caring for Rebecca when she found out that they'd slept together when he didn't care if she died) Damon cares, he does, he pushed Rebecca back (when it would have been just one more original down if Alaric had killed her and wouldn't that have been a GOOD thing in Damon's POV?) he told her to run when she didn't have the mental space to even consider it and he pushed her away instead of running himself- and attacked and faced Alaric knowing HE could die, giving her time to run. A guy who doesn't care about the human/vampire race doesn't behave that way, if he is purely selfish. Damon has his humanity very much intact.
It's not he doesn't care. Its just that- this is war. And when you

I agree with everything that you said, even the fact that Damon wanting to make all of Elena's decisions for her is borderline abusive, I do not appreciate caveman Damon. Despite that however, being a Delena fan, I can't help but appreciate the love Damon feels for Elena that drives him to behave the way he does. there is so much that Damon has done that would never have forgiven him for had I been Elena (snapping Jeremy's neck, forcing her his blood) But what I do appreciate is the fact Damon doesn't really mind what decision Elena makes- he only minds when she's not safe. Damon needs to change so much before even *I* who loves the couple can actually accept them being together. But I have to say- it's not that Damon doesn't care about Elena's friends and that it's just her. Elena is number one for Damon but that doesn't mean he doesn't care for her friends.

I agree the world does NOT revolve around Elena. But Damon and Stefan's personal world supposedly does. So how are we supposed to believe that if they don't choose to save her first when she's dying? Am i honestly supposed to believe that if the situations were reversed Elena would have not saved Stefan and agreed to save someone else because he asked her? somehow I doubt that.
For both of the brothers- there should simply be a balance in the way they protect Elena. She should be given as much control over her life as possible while still making sure her choices aren't completely emotionally swayed. Until then, I don't think either of them is all that perfect for her. And in the case of the accident- Damon would have been a better choice compared to Stefan when it came to brother responsible for saving her.

@jessieeb
But here's the thing. there shouldn't be two extremes. There should be a medium. Damon feeding Elena his blood? An extreme, a mistake I would not, could not forgive. Stefan listening to Elena in such a situation- knowing the ODDS- the odds being that she would be dead- (what if she hadn't had vampire blood in her system?)- gone forever- and still obediently saving Matt- an Extreme, not a medium. she would have hated Damon for saving her first- but she would have been alive- Damon's exact words. he doesn't care if she hates him as long she's safe. Elena's Damon's number one priority. and i think if you love someone, truly love them, there are times when you HAVE to make decisions for them- and in such a dire circumstance- Damon/ Stefan shouldn't have taken such a terrible risk and not saved Elena's life.
I agree the world does NOT revolve around Elena. But Damon and Stefan's personal world supposedly does. So how are we supposed to believe that if they don't choose to save h
