I have come to terms that every TVD fans have their own opinions. So i'm just going to say mine.
I know so many people hates Elena for so many reasons. One of the popular ones, the triangle. And then about every one wants to save her yadi yada yada and so on and so forth. I think Elena is very selfless. She made stupid decisions at times, yes. But everything she did was out of love and selfless reasons. And some of that turned to mistakes. But I don't think she should be judged by that. It's easy to judge when we're viewing as the third party. But when you're at that moment, deciding at that very moment, it's quite hard to take a step back and view as a third party (you'll be biased for sure). Anyways, my point might have nothing to do this episode but just to put it out there. Cause I see a lot of Elena hate comments and I don't think she deserves it.
I'm glad Meredith gave Elena the vampire blood. I hope it's from Damon's line. So that if one original from the bloodline dies, they

The truth...the finale went nowhere...she chooses Stefan...yet says that if she had met Damon first....maybe...wait a minute...she did meet him first...he just compelled her to forget...but as I recall Caroline remembered everything Damon made her forget after she was turned so guess what...the love triangle is not resolved by a long shot.
Klaus is dead?...no wait a minute....he's Tyler!...again it went nowhere...we end right where we started(with a crazy original on the loose)...the only thing that really got resolved was Alaric died...again...talk about groundhog day.
Elena becoming a vampire was the only thing that happened...and while that opens the door to a lot of interesting directions they could take it, leaving everything else hanging in the wind was just not cool. My guess is that next season Elena will have to make a choice and they will be trying to kill Klaus...no wait a minute...wasn't that this season? Yeah, I'll still be watching...I'm a glutton for punishment.

Okay, maybe I'm the only one, but I'm confused. Did Matt and Elena really go off the bridge into the water. She appeared to drown because Stefan saved Matt (or her parents) first. They went back and forth so much between the first time she went into the water and the second time with Matt, I wasn't sure what was real and what wasn't. Then at the hospital they talked about her head injury from the previous episoide was worse than they first thought and she was going to die from it, so Meredith (Paul Wesley's new bride in the real world) saves her by changing her into a vampire. There was no mention about her drowning or nearly drowning. So was Matt and Elena going off the bridge all in Elena's head as she was dieing in the hospital? Or just the part about the first time she went into the water with her parents? If no, then did Stefan pull her out again? What about Matt? Did he drown? Very confusing (to me, anyway).

I'm glad we got to see Matt Davis as real Alaric one last time before he is gone, I wouldn't want the last memories of him to be of the evilric. I think the writers are trying to give both Caroline focused ships what they want by putting Klaus in Tyler's body lol. Really sad for Caroline though because not only does she have to deal with losing her boyfriend but now she has to deal with the fact that Klaus has taken over his body. I don't think the fact that Damon met Elena first changes anything. Damon wasn't the Damon Elena fell for back then. He was evil Damon who was obsessed with Katherine still. What would it change if she had remembered? You really think a two min conversation she didn't even know would change the fact that she met Stefan and fell in love with him. She obviously didn't see Damon after that so just based off that interaction it changes nothing. Can't wait for the show to return and see how her being a vampire changes things.
@If Elena's turning was the conclusion for this season, WHERE WAS THE BUILD UP TO IT? It would have made a lil bit more sense back in s2 when Elena actually talked about all this stuff....now its like out of nowhere.
Actually i'd say it would have made more sense as conclusion of S1 as S1 actually explored her human life and drew parallels between her and her mother and katherine.
S2 had potential in that but the show failed to focus on how the whole katherine stuff and sacrifice stuff affects her life and was too busy throwing us random plot twists already.
So yeah, turning would have worked best emotionally and shockingly in the s1 finale, with exact same scene, but with katherine instead of becky.

Theory:
In the scene where damon meets Elena first, he compels her to "find all that she is looking for".
Then when she met Stefan she says she "fell for him instantly".
Stefan did such crazy stuff to her this year and she forgave him in a matter of seconds.
I think she is on some level "compelled" to love Stefan.
Of course she does but there's a level of compulsion going on because it simply makes no sense. Damon was there for her all year long and that kiss in the motel wasn't normal. They have so much chemistry and an unremarkable bond. And it was so hard for her to admit it for even say out loud that she has feelings for Damon because she "found" Stefan, and is compelled towards him.
And now she will forget. She will still love Stefan, but that bond that was with them bc of that compulsion will be gone and all the memories that were erased with Damon will be restored THUS remaking the love triangle.
There's no way they put that scene in just to show that they met first.

Instead of steadily building believable twists, the writers pull random tricks out their asses. Everything they do is so obvious, no subtly whatsoever. Damon compelling Elena screams plot device, and Alaric telling boring Jeremy that he will watch over him is an obvious a way to keep Alaric "alive" in some way on the show. The characters have all become plot devices instead of real people with real goals and intentions. And, why are ALL of the Originals not dead? From the looks of it, they will be around again in season 4. I shudder at the thought.

She also said that technically elana will remember everything Damon made her forget, And there will be new information next seasons in the first episode, she thinks it just a ongoing friends and a romantic Entangledment That Elena has with Damon, And that she will never be able to shake it compliantly, And so it will cause a complication with Stefan, but don't worry stefan and Elena fans, she also said She is completely commit to Stefan, she loves Stefan That we're going to see them together for a while. Los who know what that means. But her feeling can change and so could there it depend what she becomes next season and who will like it.

I just read the Julie plect talks about the season final, hears what she told ever body,
That she want Elena to change into a vampire for so long now, that this was the epsiode that was she was going to do it. She technically said that Elena is definenutly going to be a vampire next season.
The Oth thing about the whole elana and the brother trangle she said that She always choice what she want in her life and want to be in her life romantically. She obviously Grow. To love Damon and probe be in love with him, But even at her worst she never fell out of love with Stefan, And you just can't let go of someone like that, So letting Damon go was the right thing for her but of course now who knows what's foing to happen, Her life just got turn around and ripped up side down, god only know how the brother are going to handle it,
Elena decided to sacrifice herself and had Stefan save Matt as she did not want Matt to die as that would be another person sacrificing themselves for her as Matt had the best intentions when he tried to take her away from MF.
However Elena did not think of the consequences her dying would have on Jeremy so I think she new she had Vampire blood in her system.
Also for those that do not think that Tyler did, I am 99% sure he did, when Bonnie put Klaus in Tyler's body "Tyler" had to go somewhere and so he was out into Klaus and the look in Klaus' eyes when he was set on fire was actually Tyler! So Klaus will be forever stuck inside Tyler.

LOL, why is everyone so excited that Damon saw Elena first? Hello, what does that change? 1. He thought she was Katherine. 2. He talked about all the things Katherine wanted in life - passion, adventure and danger, what made him think Elena would want the same? 3. He compelled her to forget him....stupid if you ask me, cos WHO WOULD CARE? Elena would have probably forgotten about him the next day, and if she didn't who would she tell? Her parents? Ok, all she knew was his name, Damon....he never said Damon Salvatore...and there could be 10000 of guys with that name. He wasn't in any danger of ANYONE FINDING OUT that some dude named Damon was in town...Srsly did the writers come up with that last minute or what?

Big shocker Bored now has a boat load of posts on here and I have skimmed over what they wrote as it is the same stuff over and over about how they hate this show, that the characters suck! Well for the 100th time stop watching this show. You really make it unenjoyable for those that like the show and like a place where the FANS of the show can come and comment and have a nice experience. One thing I will not miss over the summer is you!
I think this was a great finale, it was full of shock, sadness and some laughs.

I wonder what's gonna happen when Elena remembers all the things that Damon compelled her to forget (i.e. when they first met, when he told her he loved her) now that she's a vampire and the compulsion wears off. Will she choose him then or stick with the safe choice Stefan? I for one cannot wait for September to get us on the path to discover this answer. I thought it was a great finale. :)

I loved this episode!
I read an interview yesterday with Nina and she said that at the table read for the finale and she said they were all emotional and then when they filmed the finale the writers decided to change the ending. So I am curious as to what the original ending was supposed to be, would Matt have died then instead?
One of my favorite moments was when Elena and Damon were on the phone and Elena was telling him she is choosing Stefan and that it was because they met first and maybe if she and Damon had then it would be different. I knew at that moment that she actually had met Damon first and I am glad we got to see that moment. You can tell that if Damon would not have compelled her that she would have fallen for Damon first. I am still team Stefan though.
Oh Bonnie, I knew that Damon should not have left her alone with Klaus. So Tyler is dead as he was in Klaus' body. So next season we will have TyKlaus.
I never liked Rebekah and I really did not like her
...Damon is my favourite character on the show since ep 1. The flashback and the fact that he is the one who met Elena first prove how amazing and selfless he is. Damon has been there for Rose and Alaric when they died, so the thought that Damon would have died all alone with no one by his side, killed me. The scene with Alaric and Jeremy at the end was touching.
I'm sad that Elena is a vampire now. She never wanted this but it will be interesting to watch how she will cope with that in the next season. It will also be interesting to see how she will react when she remembers her first encounter with Damon and Damon's confession that he loves her from 2x08.
Overall it was a good episode. I'm glad that Klaus isn't dead. I enjoyed watching the old Elena with her family and Jenna, I really miss Jenna. I am disappointed that Elena chose Stefan. After everything that she has been through I understand why she is making the safe choice, because if she chose the love that consumes her she would risk losing everything and Elena repeated several times that she has lost so many people. So she is not willing to take the risk.
I love Damon, so my heart broke watching his reaction when she rejected him. It seemed to me as if he was expecting it. It's no wonder on this show every girl chooses Stefan over him for some reason. I love Stefan too, but after all this DE build up in 3 seasons and after this season with so many DE scenes that were IMO more intense and much more emotional than all of the Stelena scenes combined, it was a huge letdown that Elena chose Stefan. Ian is a great actor, Damon's face when he thought that Elena was dead killed me.

Guys it's called throwing bones.. Even though she met Damon first does that change anything? In the moment if life and death she realized she wants Stefan. This triangle needs to end already. It will always be Stefan and Damon knows it. If she wanted an all consuming love that she was compelled to have she would be with Damon. Damon does not allow her to have freedom..
Let Damon move on already. Stefan makes her want to live.

actually, this was the first episode i really enjoyed after 3x05. it reminds me of the old days when every episode left you wanting more. can't wait for season 4. i hope elena turns dark because there should be complications when a doopelganger becomes a vampire. and then she should go shopping with katherine and pretend to be twins!
candice accola was excellent, i almost cried too.
even though i love damon, i do think it was too soon for elena to pick him. she's not over stefan and everybody knows that.

OMG, this episode was amazing! Elena finally chose Stefan and that was so great. She loves him so much and finally realizes how much better he is for her than Damon. You can see it by the way Stefan always lets her make her own decisions and Damon could care less about what she wants. It was so great that she finally became a vampire too, so she can be with Stefan forever! I just hope that Stefan is not going to feel guilty about not saving her first and go into self distruction again, because Elena wanted him to save Matt, not her.
Cannot wait for season 4!

I'm so shipping Meremy (Matt and Jeremy) Not only because is it a play on "Marry Me" because of Mr. Commitment (aka Matt). I mean seriously they'd be the perfect couple. Elena has already reduced Matt to her gay BFF that she talks about BOYZZZZZZ with. All of Jeremy's relationships with girls have failed (partially because the majority of his exes died...) But whatever, Meremy for the win.
Why would Elena meeting Stefan first change anything? Really? So forced. Vraiment stupid. If anything when you meet the second and like them you should question why you would when the first was so great.
I'm not done with this show. But... I'm not excited for the next season to roll around either. I find that the way Elena treated Damon has maybe ruined DE for me. You can't even say "I Love You" to a (maybe) dying man that has risked his life for you multiple times? Oh well.

I don't get why everyone thinks taylor is dead?? hello?!!? klaus also was in alaric's body and well alaric survived,.. taylor was just acting that way because klaus went into his body,not because he was dying.And since the salvatores and caroline are still alive I'm pretty sure tyler is as well.

I definitely see that the writers are setting up Delena to be the end result, but to be honest, I have had it with her playing it safe always. Now we are in for another season of her being torn and confused about who she loves.. and if she does choose Stefan, we are in for her basically being with him while having feelings for Damon yet again. Other than the new vampire element, it is going to be the same Elena and Damon dynamic that we had for 3 seasons. I am bored by it. Its like they can't put Damon and Elena together because they feel like the show would lose something, but they should just come up with better story lines and keep us interested. Us Delena fans deserve some darn Delena at this point.. and at this rate, she won't even choose him until the end of the show and we will never actually get to see them together. We are totally being ripped off.

I think she will be with Damon for a little while next season, since she found out about meeting Damon first until she realizes she loves Stefan.
So wait a minute...The Forwood goodbye scene was actually a Klaroline one? No wonder why i freaking loved it! But where the f@@@ is Tyler? And what got into Bonnie... I kind of like her dark and badass, but i still find her change a little abrupt.
Damon was awesome!!! Loved his first meeting with Elena. Loved his last scene with Alaric :((((Bye, Bye Ric)
And the Originals! And above all...Elijah!!!! His scene with Rebekah was heartbreakingly beautiful.
So Elena as a vampire. I like the idea. It would be a bit more exiting if not everyone in Mystic Falls hadn't turned before she did. I'm sure Mat will be the only one staying human in the end.
Elena : I just want to kill her. It's that simple.

I love Damon, so my heart broke watching his reaction when she rejected him. It seemed to me as if he was expecting it. It's no wonder on this show every girl chooses Stefan over him for some reason. I love Stefan too, but after all this DE build up in 3 seasons and after this season with so many DE scenes that were IMO more intense and much more emotional than all of the Stelena scenes combined, it was a huge letdown that Elena chose Stefan. Ian is a great actor, Damon's face when he thought that Elena was dead killed me.

Guys it's called throwing bones.. Even though she met Damon first does that change anything? In the moment if life and death she realized she wants Stefan. This triangle needs to end already. It will always be Stefan and Damon knows it. If she wanted an all consuming love that she was compelled to have she would be with Damon. Damon does not allow her to have freedom..
Let Damon move on already. Stefan makes her want to live.

actually, this was the first episode i really enjoyed after 3x05. it reminds me of the old days when every episode left you wanting more. can't wait for season 4. i hope elena turns dark because there should be complications when a doopelganger becomes a vampire. and then she should go shopping with katherine and pretend to be twins!
candice accola was excellent, i almost cried too.
even though i love damon, i do think it was too soon for elena to pick him. she's not over stefan and everybody knows that.

OMG, this episode was amazing! Elena finally chose Stefan and that was so great. She loves him so much and finally realizes how much better he is for her than Damon. You can see it by the way Stefan always lets her make her own decisions and Damon could care less about what she wants. It was so great that she finally became a vampire too, so she can be with Stefan forever! I just hope that Stefan is not going to feel guilty about not saving her first and go into self distruction again, because Elena wanted him to save Matt, not her.
Cannot wait for season 4!

I'm so shipping Meremy (Matt and Jeremy) Not only because is it a play on "Marry Me" because of Mr. Commitment (aka Matt). I mean seriously they'd be the perfect couple. Elena has already reduced Matt to her gay BFF that she talks about BOYZZZZZZ with. All of Jeremy's relationships with girls have failed (partially because the majority of his exes died...) But whatever, Meremy for the win.
Why would Elena meeting Stefan first change anything? Really? So forced. Vraiment stupid. If anything when you meet the second and like them you should question why you would when the first was so great.
I'm not done with this show. But... I'm not excited for the next season to roll around either. I find that the way Elena treated Damon has maybe ruined DE for me. You can't even say "I Love You" to a (maybe) dying man that has risked his life for you multiple times? Oh well.

I don't get why everyone thinks taylor is dead?? hello?!!? klaus also was in alaric's body and well alaric survived,.. taylor was just acting that way because klaus went into his body,not because he was dying.And since the salvatores and caroline are still alive I'm pretty sure tyler is as well.

I definitely see that the writers are setting up Delena to be the end result, but to be honest, I have had it with her playing it safe always. Now we are in for another season of her being torn and confused about who she loves.. and if she does choose Stefan, we are in for her basically being with him while having feelings for Damon yet again. Other than the new vampire element, it is going to be the same Elena and Damon dynamic that we had for 3 seasons. I am bored by it. Its like they can't put Damon and Elena together because they feel like the show would lose something, but they should just come up with better story lines and keep us interested. Us Delena fans deserve some darn Delena at this point.. and at this rate, she won't even choose him until the end of the show and we will never actually get to see them together. We are totally being ripped off.

I think she will be with Damon for a little while next season, since she found out about meeting Damon first until she realizes she loves Stefan.

So wait a minute...The Forwood goodbye scene was actually a Klaroline one? No wonder why i freaking loved it! But where the f@@@ is Tyler? And what got into Bonnie... I kind of like her dark and badass, but i still find her change a little abrupt.
Damon was awesome!!! Loved his first meeting with Elena. Loved his last scene with Alaric :((((Bye, Bye Ric)
And the Originals! And above all...Elijah!!!! His scene with Rebekah was heartbreakingly beautiful.
So Elena as a vampire. I like the idea. It would be a bit more exiting if not everyone in Mystic Falls hadn't turned before she did. I'm sure Mat will be the only one staying human in the end.
