I could honestly see Elena making the decision to become a vampire now. Her life is tied to Alaric's and she'd have to die with vampire blood in her system...I think that would kill Alaric...I could see her making that choice to save Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Tyler...then, she'll remember Damon's first "I love you" and be able to make a better informed decision...although, I don't want her to choose Damon now if that means she'll eventually go back to Stefan...he's had enough heartbreak...

1. Stefan. Because she (and the writes) want to kill us with bordem. Damon will be on the road for like.. an episode of three, and then the whatever whateverness Elena will get herself into, and her now back to being totes lame BF will not be able to handle, will force D to come back, save the day and shuffle this again only to have her choose Stefan by the end of the too.
2. Ric - the pilot and what not, Sheriff - just coz, Matt - just coz, Jeremy - no way!, Bon-Bon - the world hates me, so she'll make it 8(

Elena shouldn't be turned into a vampire, because that isn't what she wants.
Remember in season 2 she tells Stefan that she doesn't want to be a vampire she never wanted to be one.
So if the writers do make Elena into a vampire it will be kinda unfair considering that Elena said it herself that she doesn't want to become one.
I hope Elena turns into a Vampire it will add something new to the show, and i know she turns into one in the books. So i say why not. Hopefully, she chooses Damon of course, and Alaric will be the one to die. Klaus is a villain they will always keep around. I mean they kept him for 2 seasons. Plus there is the whole romance shin dig with Caroline so I don't think they'll kill him. Katherine may make an appearance its been awhile since we've seen her. And as for MVP I'd say Caroline and Rebbeca!

My guess is that in the finale elena will at some point drink damons blood, choose stefan, die, become a vampire, and be sired to damon.

1) Elena will hopefully take the easy way out and choose no one but if she had to choose I'm going with Stefan. Something tells me that she would pick Damon but it won't last.
2)Death race is this order Forbes, Ric, Matty, Jer, and Bon-Bon
3)I say both Klaus and Kat will come back. Maybe Elena will go missing and Kat will take her place...please!
4)Bold prediction one of the vampires becomes human and Bonnie becomes the next big bad due to dark magic?!

i really really want her to choose Damon but i feel like EVEN if she does, there will be some sort of twist or catch in which they can't happily be together. If she chooses Stefan than it would be like no change in anything..so "A future blooms" would not really be a fitting tease for that. I think its Damon with a vampire diaries twist. I think if she DOES turn into a vampire then it would be really interesting and a good refreshing change for her character. ;) CANT WAIT! i'm dying from anxiety.

I am pretty much sure that Tyler is making it to season 4....they've basically said so already.
My longshot wish for the finale is that Elijah returns and saves Elena from drowning in the truck with Matt.
Or else she is going to turn and it will be Elijah's blood that does it so then she is 'sired' to him and we get to see him next season!!
Elena will pick Damon. Stefan is already been there, done that. Then Stefan will leave town.

I think Elena chooses neither. She lets both of them go, but something happens to her and they have to stay so we have a season 4 with the Salvatore brothers. It makes sense since Klaus is desiccated, Alaric can't hurt her, to have Elena tell the brothers to run away from Alaric. That would be the WORST. If she chooses neither, I think that is a big copout. It's worse than choosing Stefan and returning to status quo. And it's worse than choosing Damon and having the show and Elena take that risk.
No one's going to be killed off. That'll be the shocker.
@Shizzy, well if Klaus comes back to life and Elena is a vampire, she would need to be protected because he's want to kill her like he wanted to kill Katherine...but we've already seen the protect Elena from Klaus storyline so I hope not..
