I think even if she wasnt compelled to forget she met him it wouldnt change anything. Damon was obssessed by Katherine at that time and he would probably compel Elena to do anything he wanted her to do, just like he did with others ... he even tried to compel her to kiss him later.. but she was already wearing vervain. So first or not first ... she fell for Stefan, cause he was there for her.

As soon as i saw Tyler look at Caroline when they said they would meet after he talked to Bonnie I knew right there, they already planned this. Best moment ive been waiting all season was for Stefan to kiss elena, but broke me heart after Damon met her first, and they recapped that. i honestly cant wait for the next season, bring IT!!!

And the grade I give Klaus as a "Villian" this season,despite the fact that he draws horses is a solid D.
I was looking forward to some kickass klaus scenes in the vein of Elijah last season.But all we got was a "misunderstood" "lonely" chap who spent far to much time talking and not acting.

This was a C- season and I will not be purchasing the dvd set when it comes out.
For me season 2 is the best season !! Elijah owned that season.

I don't think Elena remembering all the times Damon compelled her will make any difference. She knows Damon loves her and she still chose Stefan. Meeting Damon first will not change her feelings regarding Stefan nor will it impact on Damon. The idea she posed was if he had been the person Stefan was and brought her back to life the way he did, things may have been different. If nothing Damon did this season made her change her mind, I doubt a two minute meeting would. However, her now being a vampire might change her or her feelings. Furthermore, I wanted to the Delena romace to be explored but her choosing Stefan made sense and was true to character. Her choosing Damon would have seemed too OOC or rushed (think of the Dan/Blair pairing on GG) I'd rather have the integrity of the character be kept and have good, logical development of writing than to get the couple sooner rather than later. Too many commercials, not enough show last night! I know they have to pay for air time, but pleeeeeze! One and a half scenes to 7 minutes of commercials!! Will recorded the entire season next year. As for the plot. It all was a surprise. My biggest was that Damon was there first!

What was your favorite scene from the finale?
Either Damon meeting Elena's meet cute, as we now know he met her first and I also like the Ghost Alaric talking to Jeremy. It made me cry but was such a sweet moment.
Biggest shocker: Klaus taking over Tyler, Alaric dying or Elena turning?
Klaus taking over Tyler. Do we now call them Klyer or Tyklaus?
Supposedly the ending we saw was not the ending that was originally written, they changed the ending and that is the one we saw yesterday.
Here is a clip from a Nina Dobrev interview:
”Especially at the end, there’s a huge twist that even we didn’t expect when we were reading it. And it actually changed. We started shooting the episode, and they changed it before we shot [the ending] to something completely different,” she says. “It’s sad. Someone explain to me how can we ignore the coincidence that both Damon and Stefan met Elena on the day of the accident. What was Damon doing there months before the comet?

be alive? If so, I foresee another love triangle forming for season 4.. awesome.
3. NO, NO, NO. I just hope once she's a vampire and she'll remember other things about Damon, like their first encounter she'll realise quickly enough how stupid she's been and be with him already. No offence Stefan, you're nice and all, but just not the man for her.
4.Bonnie.. I get why she's done it though, it was the only way to save her mother and her friends so I get it.
5. I'd say B. Considering that I've started watching TVD only a couple of months ago and watched season 1,2 and half of season 3 in a couple of weeks (I was seriously ADDICTED), I'd say the last part of this season has been a let down compared to the rest, as far as I'm concerned. I admit, it's partially got to do with Elena choosing Stefan over my beloved Damon.. had things gone differently, I would've been more generous!

@Spindae..I like the Secret Circle but the story telling is so NOT on par with the first season of TVD..and TSC is only in it's first season...I liked the first half of the season of TSC but after that....I don't know, it lost something...

1. Realising that Damon met her first, what he told her, how sweet he was.. right after she'd chosen Stefan totally sucked. I mean it was a beautiful scene, but man, the timing was all wrong! Damon's reaction when realising Elena was dead was pretty moving as well.I'm not even gonna get to Ric saying goodbye to Jeremy, my sight was totally impaired by tears at that point.
2. Elena turning, I didn't expect it.Still, it was obvious when she told Stefan to save Matt first, the real question there is: did she know Meredith healed her with vampire blood? And then Klaus taking over Tyler's body. Bonnie's gonna have a lot of explaining to do, at this point I think it's clear Klaus turned the Salvatore's bloodline, so he obviously couldn't die (which I don't think he has anyway, we didn't really see Klaus' body burn completely!) but damn it, why take away my lovely Tyler? What does this mean for him anyway? Is he dead? Is he still somewhere so that when Klaus takes over another body he'll sti

Yes, Julie Plec reminded us that that is part of vampire mythos on TVD. A vampire in transition starts to remembered things they were compelled to forget. Remember when Caroline turned and flipped out on Damon yelling "I remember what you did to me!!"...

Give this season a grade.
Ruthie, agreed. I can't seem to stop myself from reading the spoilers and watching the clips...but I also end up sort of piecing what I think will happen together and it ruins the episodes. I totally called the whole Elena dies with blood in her system thing as soon as the promos and spoilers started to come out.
But I give the season a B, based against Season 1 (A+) and Season 2 (A-). The ghost thing annoys me and some of the plots resolved too quickly this season. I also take points off for logic fails, of which there seemed to be many this season. That said, still my favorite shows and the last two episodes were incredible (though the penultimate a bit better than the finale)!

Caroline was the one on the biggest roller coaster an she was the one I most believed in her.
2.Shocker.
Klaus taking over Tyler.the other things were pretty much obvious, after Mer gave her healed Elena.and the compulsion scene was a clear sign for Elena turning!
3.E choice!
Of course it was the right one!Stelena ruled from the begging and none of the Delena scenes can come close to the STelena Magic!
4.Extreme!
Bonnie and Klaus stole the show!What can we say!?I knew something was wrong but never imagined that!
5.Grade! B+&-
The first 9 eps were really strong(pure A's) and took me on a big ride!but than they've got pretty messy and just teased us, till these last 3eps when they had a real goal!
Everyone compares this SHOW to THE SECRET CIRCLE!But the SC did a much better job in storytelling!They slowly gone from one place to a complete different place,and BTW they didn't teased big conclusions and confrontations which just blow up in our faces!

Like, the memory of her meeting Damon first and their kiss in Season 2 (episode 8, I think)?
As a Stelena fan, I'm kind of too excited about this.

Ruthie, you are reading my mind about the Klaus/Tyler thing!
That said, I guess I didn't expect Bonnie to do that but it's not really extreme if you realize it was to save her friends by (at least temporarily) preventing Klaus's death. Bex was pretty bad-ass though!

I know that Alaric will die, but the momemnt when he actually dies, and you see Damon's face that he understands that what does it man, this was the biggest shock!

Now, yes, but everything will change! And as (SPOLIER) Julie sad that Stefan Elena will not be so long relationship!

I don't understand why Matt not hit Rebekah, she is a vampire, she couldn't die...I know reflex :) I think Elijah suggested this reaction!

Did Elena make the right choice?
I agree with Matt, that next season will result in Elena wavering a bit and remembering things that Damon compelled her to forget. I don't love her choice, but it makes sense right now I guess. I also don't know how I feel about how she HAD to make her choice, but I think the writers did their best to make it something that had to come from Elena's gut in the heat of the moment when neither of them were right in front of her. It also paralleled nicely with the choice she made with Matt a few years back. But I think her passion for Damon was different than her sisterly love for Matt.
That said, I am agree with Matt in wondering if Elena knew about the vamp blood and made the choice to turn...so Matt could be saved. It didn't even occur to me until read that interview with Julie Plec, but now...

1. Fav scene - Elijah and Rebekah hugging when she told him Klaus was killed by Ric. I had to wait a whole season to see one family moment from these two.
2. Klaus taking over Tyler, the other two even a 5yearold baby could predict!
3. Did Elena make the right choice? To trust Elijah - No. To save Matt - yes. To choose the guy SHE LOVES - call me crazy if choosing someone you love is wrong, just because he does not look like Ian Somerhalder.
4. 4th option - offering Elena tea with vodka, she went to paint a room after she had tequila, god knows what would she have done if she had that!
5. D because that is exactly the mark I would get if I wrote an essay about what happened this season and tried to make sense by starting of with Ripper Stefan, some Originals, witches, hybrids and parties in between, and ending with Elena becoming a vampire: No consistency and no character development.
