I love Stephen and Elena being together, bc Stephen's love in genuine...of course he had a rough year in season 3, but who doesn't have skeletons in their closet...I think putting her with Damon would be a little too cliche like the Katherine, Damon, and Stephen trio...yes Damon loves her but his brother had her first and he should of respected that and not try to prey on her in his brothers absence, yea he technically met her first but Stephen met her in the same night and he came back for her...Don't get me wrong Damon is HAWT but Elena belongs with Stephen...!!!

I disagree with everyone saying that Damon is the only one being Selfish for Elena. FIRST...Damon is way older than Elena and tries his hardest to keep her alive now that he knows she doesnt want to be a vampire(given the circumstance now things differ). If someone tried that hard to keep me safe and was that old and (smart) i would appreciate it and give him some credit for loving me that much. Damon does listen to Elena but he's not stupid...he doesnt want her bad choice to end her. He's the smart one and argure so it sounds selfish but it actually is just him being smart and she doesnt want to listen. It's her being selfish. Damon is smarter than all of them so listen to him once in awhile and there may not be bumps in the road. One of these days people will learn that DAMON has the most control and Stefan needs to quit listening to what he thinks is best for Elena...By listening to her doesnt make him the best one...He needs to learn how to argue. I too was angry at Stefan in following Elena until the last minute of her life when he could have saved her. But then at the same time, I understood that that's just how he is, how he loves someone. He understands love that way, how love is all about making your own choices, not setting you up against your free will... He knew how devastating that felt when it was taken away from him and he didn't want elena to feel that way because that is how much he loved her. He was also able to think ahead that if he had saved Elena, she would become miserable that Matt met the same fate as her parents had when she, on the other hand, lived. He didn't want her to be miserable like that and Elena may not blame him or she may but Stefan will definitely blame himself if Elena becomes miserable like that despite her third life.@.@
I can't even put in words how great I think Stefan's love for Elena is.... I admit, Ian Somerhalder may be hotter than Paul Wesley but it's Stefan's love that is deeper

@ Phoenix I completely agree! We've only explored SE and DE will get explored...the longer it takes to do so? The better have they will be endgame. If your truly in love with your first there would be no second. All three characters are going through transitions but especially Damon and Elena. I don't ship but if I could pick an endgame it must be DE. SE are soulmates huh? Why? Cause she met him first? The fact tht Elena evens mentions this 'fact' is further proof of all the development she needs To go through to be with anyone. She is still a kid and I know a lot of kids watch this show but it doesn't mean she even knows hat being In love is. I love how some people say Stefan/Damon are terribly and 'he slept with her mom' or 'he nearly killed her' but really they're BOTH 'bad' for her. I just watched the fanale. Dear god how did I know that was going to happen? It shocked me. I have not read the books but I might now. I just watched all 3 seasons. I never got into it when it was on tv at all. I now am addicted and want more. I want Damon, I would have picked him. What ever happened to the saying good boy always come in last.

I was alll for Damon and Elena back when I read the books...
I was still giddy for every scene with Damon and Elena in the beginning of the tv show...
Now for some reason Stefan has just become so dang intriguing and attractive. lol I don't know why I don't really like Damon anymore, maybe because he's wayy too into protecting Elena...but don't get me wrong, I still love him and his hilarious comments! I just... like Stefan more at the moment. lol
But Elena and her unsure-ness about each brother is starting to get on my nerves...

I think Bonnie will be the big bad shes the one whos lost just as much and she is just used for her power so now she might just show them just how much power she really has.....

there are more villans ahead....klaus is dead(i believe).. bonnie'll be an important character than she is now... and don't forget that jeremy sees ghosts still...

Damon thinks he knows everything and has all the answers, hence Elena should do as he says, such a relationship is not healthy becoz in the end its sort all about making one person happy, yes Elena makes stupid mistakes, but hopefully she will someday learn from them, and Damon does not always make the right decisions either, but is to stubborn to do things someone's way.

@Jojo, You know they say SE is boring and that DE will be epic and whatever, try asking them to name anything that would support that theory and they quiet down instantly. What can Damon offer Elena that Stefan can't? In all honesty some DE fans just say that cos they want endless make out sessions between these two, and they think that hotness is a prerequisite for love. I don't deny that these two are attracted to each other and have chemistry, but Damon loves selfishly, he wants Elena all to himself. They call SE boring simply because its more of a grown up relationship, where two people have to compromise and take into account what the other person wants. @Jojo, because in their eyes Damon does no wrong because everything is justified by "He loves Elena" - so he gets a free pass on killing Jeremy in front of her, sleeping with her mom, trying to compel her to kiss him, forcing her to drink his blood, being ready to sacrifice Bonnie, rapping Caroline, turning Vicki, turning Bonnie's mom, etc. All that some crazy DE fans see is Damon did this and that to protect Elena or he did so because he was hurt by her or was in his bad mood, therefore, its ok.

i loved the ending and i was so sad when elena was on the phone to damon and she told him that she was going back to stefan cause he said “stefan.its always going to be stefan” i was like waaa!!!! :( poor damon. but in truth it wasn't her fault that she said to damon “maybe if we had meet first” cause she didnt know that they had met a few hours before her and stefan did.well maybe a bit more than a few hours cause she didnt know that when her parents car crashed that stefan saved her but still.but now she is a vampire she will remember what had happened when damon compelled her so oh-er!! what will happen to their love triangle will she stay with stefan or now knowing that she did actually meet damon first will she go to damon. i love her and stefan but give damon a chance and if it doesn't work out then maybe u could go to stefan. for now i hope it becomes DELENA!!!!

Well well... so much happened in this last episode. Maby finally Elena will be with Damon but i thik it won't happen at the begining of season four. She will have to finish the transition and love Stefan (bla bla bla) have doubts about who she really loves and then... maby. And finally: hura! Klaus is alive! i thought Alaric really killed him. So bad he couldn't keep his body... So Alaric died, originals are safe. Who will be the next bad guy? Besides Klaus ofcourse... :)

Damon and Elena's thing whatever they have going on is not LOVE. And they were so much better as bickering frenemies! Why did the writers have to change that! Stelena was the perfect couple and now Damon will always remain between them (unless he dies and they can mourn his death and then get over it)

I really don't get how anyone can ship for Delena! Damon slept with her best friend, slept with her MOTHER, killed her brother, is basically an asshole who has weird oily hair and wears excessive foundation and is not remotely good-looking! And that flashback scene was just so stupid and forced and of course necessary to legitimize Delena, which annoys the crap out of me! I don't get how anyone can think Stelena is boring, people die for a love like that! I think the fact that Elena is still a teenager is why she has feelings for Damon because she is not mature enough for a great love that is right in front of her and physical attraction is only natural in teenager. I don't feel Damon's love is "all consuming" in fact Stefan's love is just that! He has eyes for no one but Elena and just how many women has Damon been with? It's hard to even keep up with. As i see it, Damon should end up with Elena. If she was so in love with Stefan, why'd she fall for Damon? It doesn't make sense. If her and Stefan were truly in love, Elena wouldn't have fallen in love with Damon. Simple fact. And there's no way that Stefan and Elena are gonna stay together. New connections are opening Elena up to Damon and as she said "maybe if we'd met first". Well, when Caroline was turned, she remembered all those times Damon did things to her and compelled her to forget. If she remembered when she was turned, Elena's gonna remember all those times Damon compelled her. And that's gonna change the love triangle up alot. And hopefully, that'll push Elena into Damon's arms. DELENA FOREVER

It is interesting to see what will happen. Everything has now changed; Alaric is dead, Elena is a Vampire, Klaus is in Tylers body, ect... However, I am excited to see what will become of Caroline and Tyler/Klaus.
I also cannot wait for Elena to remember all of the things she was compelled to forget. Damon meeting her for the first time, when damon told her how he really felt (Rose Season 2) But I am glad that Elena can protect herself and less people will have to die for her.
Elena : I just want to kill her. It's that simple.
