Glee Season Four Scoop: Kate Hudson to Play...

by at . Comments

It won't take long for Kate Hudson to make an impact on Glee Season 4.

According to Lea Michele, who spoke to William Keck of TV Guide Magazine at the 11th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball last week, the movie star will premiere on the September 13 premiere as a New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts dance instructor.

What will that mean for Michele's Rachel Berry?

Goodbye, Ohio

"Dance is not Rachel's strong point, but as a freshman it's a requirement class she has to take," Michele teases. "It will put Rachel in a very vulnerable place, stuck with a teacher who doesn't make it easy for her."

Kurt, meanwhile, will end up in New York City after all… but not as a NYADA student at first.

Instead, he will be involved with Sarah Jessica Parker, Chris Colfer revealed, who comes on board as the character's "manager of sorts," according to the actor, "but not in a performance sense."

In other recently Glee news, American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez is nearing a deal to appear on multiple episode in late 2012 or early 2013.

@SteveO - I do believe it was ballet though. Many dance disciplines stray very far away from ballet so it isn't all too surprising that she'd need help still in be relatively bad at say, Jazz. Still though, if Kate Hudson's character must mentor her on ballet, then that's a different story. I'm not trying to defend RM though as I think he is VERY slack ;)

@Aquariuz me too love the speculation of SteveO. Rachel, She doesn't know the dancing but I like to see her as a mentor.

The lack of continuity on this show always amazes me. This Rachel-can't-dance plot is another crappy character history rewrite just to serve a guest star. RM really shouldn't bother with backstories if he's going to continually rewrite them. Next we'll probably find out that she's actually an adopted child from a whole other country. Sheesh!

@SteveO: Haha. I love your positivity. It's Glee after all.

Except, if you remember from Season 1 of Glee, Rachel has been in dance classes since she was like 2 months old and she took ballet in high school (remember "Total Eclipse of the Heart" song). Glee really needs to rewatch itself before planning future plots. Haha, oh well. "But, it's Glee!"

Glee Quotes

You know, a great big fat person once stood on this stage and told a group of a dozen or so nerds in hideous disco outfits that glee, by its very definition, is about opening yourself up to joy. Now it's no secret that for a long time I thought that was a load of hooey. As far as I could see the glee club was nothing but a place where a bunch of cowardly losers go to sing their troubles away and delude themselves into thinking that they live in a world that cares one iota about their hopes and dreams, totally divorced from the harsh reality that in the real world there's not much more to hope for than disappointment, heartbreak, and failure. And you know what. I was exactly right. Thats exactly what glee club is. But I was wrong about the cowardly part. What I finally realized, now that I'm well into my late thirties, it takes a lot of bravery to look around you and see the world not as it is but as it should be. A world where the quarterback becomes best friends with the gay kid, and the girl with the big nose ends up on Broadway. Finding the courage to open up your heart and sing about it. That's what glee club is. And for the longest time I thought that was silly, and now I think it's just about the bravest thing that anyone could do.

[to Finn] You know, I don't really know what's going to happen between us, but I know that you used to be the guy that would make me feel like the most special girl in the whole world, and it doesn't feel that way anymore. Now it just feels sad and confusing. And the worst part is that it doesn't even feel that bad anymore.
