by at . Comments

Longmire premiered on A&E tonight, as Robert Taylor led a cast that includes Katee Sackhoff and Lou Diamond Phillips and took viewers deep into the heart of the Wyoming countryside.

I gave my thoughts on the series in this Longmire review - I found the pilot perfectly decent, but not especially gripping in any way, storyline-wise or character-wise - and now I'm asking you, TV Fanatics:

What did you think of Longmire?

Longmire Renewed For Season 2

A&E has renewed Longmire for a second season, just four weeks into the Western drama's inaugural summer run.

LONGMIRE is a program that my husband and I have really enjoyed from the onset. However, the preview of the upcoming week contains a "g.d." that we find highly offensive. (What about the children who might hear and repeat this? This is aired at times when children are subject to hearing it. My husband and I do not use this kind of language nor do we wish to hear it from someone else.) Is it the lack of creativity and vocabulary that created this disaster?Surely there are other alternatives to taking the Lord's name in vain!

Great, different twist. Like a western but in today's setting, a much needed change, with action and drama!

Any way i can view the premier show???

I love this show but I missed the premier show and a couple more. is there any way I can view these shows now ?????

i love the show, watched every the encore....wyoming is beautiful...been there many times on vacation...keep the show going..get tired of the big city shows....

Fantastic!!! Dog Soldier was my favorite. All have been great and I am looking forward to many more shows.

We missed Sunday July 1st is there an encore for that program?

I too love this show! It's such a great break from all the big city cop shows. The only question I have is why they're always so out-of-breath, even when just getting out of a car. I can see it when they're running, but they shouldn't be out-of-breath when just standing still. In spite of this I do really love the show!

Absolutley Loved it. This show is outstanding and is quite original and true to the human spirit. To have Walt's character so "Every day Joe" gives us the connection to him. His morals and values are as mine. Loyalty, Intergity as well as Honesty whatever the cost is what I admire in a man. The vulnerability of his heart and soul, although kept in check is in my books is exactaly what we need to see. An every day guy just trying to his job (Duty) to the best of his ability. So given a few mistakes that do occur, still is the Best I have seen since N.C.I.S. my family has watched since the begining, and now this calibur and quality of entertainment has fast become an ACE in our eyes. THANK YOU FROM OUR HEARTS. keep em commin

My husband and I have watched each episode with anticipation and viewed each a second time. While there are some kinks in the scripts, plots and specifics as noted by other viewers, if these can be worked out, the basics are there to be built upon. This one has "good bones" to work with!
