Will Jamie Lee Curtis Return to NCIS?

by at . Comments

Jamie Lee Curtis' guest arc in NCIS Season 9 was as controversial as it was crucial, leaving fans polarized regarding Dr. Samantha Ryan and her relationship, professional and otherwise, with Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

What can we expect from her in the coming season?

Not a lot, if anything, according to the show's boss.

Gibbs With Ryan

Executive producer Gary Glasberg recently told TV Guide that the loss of Dr. Ryan isn't particularly hard on Gibbs, given everything else that transpired in the Season 9 finale and the fact that Ryan is alive.

"I really didn't want to treat this relationship as if she was dead," Glasberg said.

"The show has a history of doing that and that's not the case here. I'd like to believe that we approached it realistically, and that [she left because] there are priorities she has in her life."

As for whether we'll see Curtis' complex DOD PsyOps brain gramer on the show again, Glasberg says: "If they were able to reconnect down the road, I'd love to have Jamie Lee come back."

It certainly sounds like her story arc is over now, however. For more on what we can expect come September, follow this link for the NCIS Season 10 spoilers and teasers we know so far!

Please don't bring Dr. Ryan back! Liked her at first and was glad Gibbs was dating someone close to his own age. But she seems to have her own agenda and is too into head games. Make her go away!

YES bring her back its so nice to see character dating people their own age and JLC was just what NCIS needed to get its mojo back beside the P2P storyline she fits in with the cast way better then the lawyer and you can tell how much they enjoy having her on the show. Plus I want to know who they will have play her huband my vote is for Mandy Pankisn

Please, please, please, please .... do NOT have her return. She is exactly the kind of woman that most of the rest of we women cannot stand. She ads nothing. In fact, she detracts a LOT! NO, do not ring her back. I just Ducky to be fine and all the rest of the regulars to return. There are millions of women out there that would latch onto Gibbs if we feel he has to have a romantic link. But not this "man-looking, smug, self-absorbed" JLC. NO!!!!!!!!!!!

I too liked her and would be glad to see her return. It was refreshing to see a character romanticly linked to Gibb's who knew how to think for herself. Their 'affair' was refeshing compared to the others we've been presented with over the years. His first wife is the exception.

I liked her just fine. It was nice that someone other than Gibbs always had all the answers, even if she did play her cards rather close. It was her abrupt departure that was ridiculous. Surely the writers could have found another way for her character to depart than: "Lets get naked! Oh, shit! My ex is on the loose. Gotta jet. See ya!"

she better not return, she has to be one of the worst guest characters ever, she was so smug, Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr no keep her away don't want her any where near this show ever again in fact don't want JLC any where near this show she was crap, a plank of wood can act better than her, she was rubbish.

NCIS Quotes

McGee: Rule number 70 - keep digging till you hit bottom.
Abby: McGee! There is no rule 70.
McGee: Well, I--
Abby: You just made up a rule. This McGibbs thing has really gone to your head. I don't even recognize you right now.

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.
