Will Jamie Lee Curtis Return to NCIS?

by at . Comments

Jamie Lee Curtis' guest arc in NCIS Season 9 was as controversial as it was crucial, leaving fans polarized regarding Dr. Samantha Ryan and her relationship, professional and otherwise, with Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

What can we expect from her in the coming season?

Not a lot, if anything, according to the show's boss.

Gibbs With Ryan

Executive producer Gary Glasberg recently told TV Guide that the loss of Dr. Ryan isn't particularly hard on Gibbs, given everything else that transpired in the Season 9 finale and the fact that Ryan is alive.

"I really didn't want to treat this relationship as if she was dead," Glasberg said.

"The show has a history of doing that and that's not the case here. I'd like to believe that we approached it realistically, and that [she left because] there are priorities she has in her life."

As for whether we'll see Curtis' complex DOD PsyOps brain gramer on the show again, Glasberg says: "If they were able to reconnect down the road, I'd love to have Jamie Lee come back."

It certainly sounds like her story arc is over now, however. For more on what we can expect come September, follow this link for the NCIS Season 10 spoilers and teasers we know so far!

While I have no real problem with Dr. Ryan, I have always said the Pam Dawber should be cast as Gibb's perfect love interest if she's willing to take on the part. They're a terrific couple in real life, so why not on the show?

No more dr.ryan and please no more Col.Mann-she was way too butch. They should have marks real life wife guest star when he is ready to leave the show..she could be a manager for starbucks..and knows how to brew a perfect cup of coffee. (Glasberg if you use my idea I want to be paid. LoL!!) Have her on the last few shows of his last season. Let the fans see Gibbs with someone who loves him and he can enjoy his retirement with.

@Maura really your jibbs? #1 fan.......you mean gibbs

Can't stand the character JLC played...hope she never comes back. I don't have a problem with the age, but the character was insincere, arrogant, pushy, and a know-it-all (we all know Gibbs knows way more than she does!) This character dominated her episodes at the expense of the core characters. I'm fine with Gibbs having a love interest...but a new character should enhance the relationships of the core characters, not bury them.

Get rid of JLC. She is not good with the rest of the cast. She comes across as arrogant and sneaky. She needs to go back to doing commericals. The minute she shows up on the screen, I change channels. As much as I love NCIS I will not watch it if she is on

JLC stopped watching when she is on. fingernails on chalkboard effect Yech!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely HATE Dr.Ryan.I'm a jibbs fan 1st. I always feel like she is trying to worm her way into Gibbs life using her skills. But its not only my love for jibbs that marked me hate her. I don't like her period. She's rude, controlling, clingy, invasive, everything I hate in a character. I don't mind jlc but Dr. Ryan is really bad. If she was in all the episodes I would never watch again. I nearly puked when she kissed Gibbs. That was a big mistake. I feel like Gibbs doesn't actually care for her like he did Jen. He just watched her walk away..... For all I care she came back to apologize and got blown up in the explosion. Plus the's not a redhead :-)

JLC simply did not fit; her every appearance threw the show off balance.

I love NCIS, have watched since day 1. If they want a love interest for Gibbs, bring back Mann, but please no more Dr Ryan she is so wrong for this show. I couldn't watch the shows she was in.

NCIS Quotes

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.

McGee: You know something I don't? Working tonight and tomorrow night?
Tony: No, Tim. It's just that Zoe's parents are in town and they want to have dinner. I'm not ready for that.
Abby: So you deceived her.
Tony: I was put on the spot. I was not prepared.
McGee: Whoa. Hey. What are you afraid of?
Tony: I don't know.
Abby: They're probably really nice.
Tony: I'm sure they are. I've just never had dinner with the parents of a woman I'm seriously involved with.
McGee: That's not true. What about Jon Benois?
Tony: No, technically that wasn't me because I was undercover as Tony DiNardo, professor of film studies. I wasn't myself back then. Meeting the parents for dinner could trigger a whole chain of events.
Abby: It's just dinner, Tony.
Tony: You have dinner yet with Ranger Burt's parents? I didn't think so. Then put down the gavel, take off the robe and stop judging, both of you.
Abby: Okay.
