at .

The enthralling first official trailer for Homeland Season 2 debuted at Comic-Con today, and while it's not yet available on the Internet, we can reveal the most intriguing tidbits from the fascinating Showtime drama, courtesy of its panel discussion.

To wit:

Homeland Duo
  1. Carrie is working as a professor, seemingly relaxed and happy. She's then approached by the CIA for a three-day undercover mission to Beirut (which was actually shot in Israel, FYI).
  2. Brody is a Congressman still working hard on his innocence: “I am not a terrorist,” he says at to a character played by Zuleikha Robinson. "I’m a U.S. congressman.” He gets involved in Carrie's new mission.
  3. Claire Danes is pregnant in real life. But producer Howard Gordon confirmed Carrie will not be.
  4. It's unclear where Carrie's memories are at this point, but her emotional state is still teetering: “Being wrong about Brody really f–ked me up, because I have never been so sure and so wrong," she tells Saul.

Homeland returns on September 30. That date cannot arrive soon enough.
