Lost Girl Review: Succubus Barbie

at .

Bo is finally done with Dyson. Or so she said anyway. Lost Girl just hasn't been the same since Dyson lost his love for Bo. The sizzle is gone. Where is that passionate succubus that we used to know?

Bo Searches for a Murderer of Humans

From comments on my earlier Lost Girl reviews, I expected Lauren to provide an unstoppable spark, but that hasn't materialized. Instead, the relationship between Lauren and Bo has been strained since Lauren already has a girlfriend. And now Lauren is locked up in The Ash's cell.

A succubus without sex is a boring succubus. At least, it seems we have moved beyond Bo and Dyson. She has given up on him and he has moved on with Ciara. Plus, Bo genuinely seems to want to be friends with Ciara. Those new relationships would heavily complicate Bo ever getting back with Dyson. So, who will be Bo's next conquest? I'm guessing somehow Bo and Lauren will work out their issues.

In "Can't See the Fae-rest," the case-of-the-week wasn't particularly interesting, but it did allow Bo to go undercover with Kenzi first and then Dyson. These pairings always provide laughs and usually entertaining trouble.

Kenzi getting knocked out and then waking up with the dead guy was hilarious. Just what a girl needs, right? And, then Dyson getting spit in the eyes by the snake Fae and his reaction was priceless.

Unfortunately, they were headed down the wrong path. The real murderer was the old lady batibat, Maganda. She had her precious tree stolen from her and killed people to get it back piece by piece. It must have been a big tree since it will take years to recover all of it. Lost Girl doesn't seem to have any shortage of odd Fae creatures for their stories.

Maganda's primal desire to get her tree back made her a threat to the Fae community, so The Ash locked in her a cell. Though, she really deserved the punishment anyway since see did kill people. Unfortunately, Bo didn't know that just a few cells down was her friend and potential lover, Lauren. I doubt Bo would have thanked Lachlan if she had known. Ever since we found out that Lachlan has "his" head in a trunk, he has been very suspicious. Why was he adamant that Lauren research the Pari deaths? The new Ash is a mystery and seems to be up to no good.

Will he end up helping Lauren with the cursing nail? If he wants her help enough, I suspect he will. And, then will Nadia survive? Or, end up out of the picture so Lauren can pursue a relationship with Bo?

While Bo and Dyson are no more, he solidified his relationship with Ciara as much as he could. He couldn't say he would love her, but promised to make her happy. It was a touching, but tremendously sad moment to watch. Dyson should reveal the truth about his deal with the Norn to Ciara. Until he does that, their relationship is doomed.

Ciara: I need to know. Will you love me back?
Dyson: I will give you everything that I can. I'll do my very best to make you happy.
Ciara: You already do. | permalink
