I was a fan until the last episode about the young man who talked to God. I don't mind a character being an aethiest, but using crude language when speaking of Him is very distressing. I won't be watching any more episodes.
As someone who has dealt with their own mental illness there is nothing glamorous or sexy about it. Anyone who has done battle with their own mind will tell you that. Shows and movies often glamorize mental illnesses by romanticizing it. If you like the show, by all means watch, just don't look to much into it for a true view of what it's like.
I find the leads compelling, but the stories are weak and exploitative. Watching the final act inside an interrogation room last night was boring and almost made me turn the TV off.
Really? You want tv without "sex, politics, and social issues"? I have not yet had the chance to watch this show - perhaps it truly is ill-judged - but I know I don't want tv to be so blandly innocuous. I want it to be relevant. Actually, I want it to be fiercely intelligent, visually innovative, and challenging in ways I didn't expect, even if I don't agree with its opinions. It is ok to listen to opinions that you don't agree with! These comments make me sad.
It's funny how the comments for this show started out fairly positive, and as the season goes on, more and more viewers are becoming disenchanted. Guess what? They don't like hearing faith bashed, and God ridiculed. They are sick of hearing there is something wrong with them because they believe something is wrong with homosexuality. You'd think these programs would get the idea and leave politics and social issues out. Comparisons of Perception to Monk forget that the latter program was unfailing about not putting sex, politics and social issues into its programs, and that accounts for much of its success.
It's not leftist agenda, it's science. Pure and simple.
The gay crap has to go!!!!!
Sorry guys, you lost me with the God bashing and then two guys kissing.
I know this is "ground breaking" but I don't want my ground broken.
We won't be watching anymore.
Well, i found it somewhat "monkish" but with not so much style. The writers have obvious left wing bend and a need to make social statemnts and share their atheist opinions, which was annoying. When they had the gay couple makng out and kissing on prime time tv this week, it was too much. The show is just trashy. I will not be watching it anymore.
Too predictable! Drama with a worn-out agenda! I lost interest early in the show but continued to watch hoping it would improve. It didn't, so I turned it off and will not be watching again.
