That scene of Eric holding Alcides head in his hands and their faces...so close they could almost...kiss. That's going in my special memory box for later.

I love Eric more this season than ever before! Wiping Alcide's memory and as only Eric can, still make claim to Sookie, was awesome! Love every look he has and how he can't be persuaded by Roman.
And did I miss something entirely when Christopher Meloni was signed as a regular character? Did that get changed? Why is everyone assuming he is dead and after only a few episodes! Not to mention he was with the cast at Comic Con.
Roman isn't going anywhere.
LaLa and mama scene was the funniest of the night.
Please for the love of Lilith can the smoke/fire monster story line die?!?!? Sad that Patrick left Grey's Anatomy for such a ridiculous role!

As for Lafayette (Lala) story….I laugh so hard I had to rewind it to hear what they said again…his mother is just too funny for me…The Terry story started out interesting but the fake smoke demon is too far fetch even for this show…again just sayin. Hoyt needs a hobby…and I just love how Pam keep Tara grounded and Pam’s one-liners are soooo funny. They act well together. Now for Andy and Sam that was good team work. I think the human mask wearing folks are those guys Hoyt was eating with a few episode ago…I guess we will see. Now, the Sookie and Jason’s story was interesting as well. I wonder who killed their parents more now than before. I hope now the other fairies will show Sookie how to use her magic…she needs all the help she can get. Now last but now least when Eric brain washed Alcide that was just funny…again I was laughing so hard I had to rewind it. Can’t wait for next week!!!

Here is my two cents worth on this episode…. It was interesting and good to see Russell back and crazy as ever. But, I wish Roman was a bit meaner and scarier and it would have been nice to see him in more episodes to come...not to mention it should not have been so easy to kill him…oh well. Simone didn’t hide it much that she was not interested in what Roman had to say that I was screaming at the TV… After they killed the leftover humans from Russell’s hideout I figured the other Authority members are in on the whole conspiracy and the kid vamp was a decoy. Not to mention I think that Lithe person is still alive and well. At first I thought the mystery woman was Simone but now I feel otherwise. I love the fact that (my eye candy) Alcide finally stepped up and claim his Alfa place! He tried the lone wolf thing….didn’t work out much….ya think!!! So hopefully this will plus I feel Rikki and him would be a nice new couple….we can use a new one…just sayin. As
I'm not sure why everyone just stood there while Russel killed Roman. I was thinking that it could have something to do with the age of the vampires in question. As far as i know, we don't really know the exact ages of The Authority members. If there the same age or younger that could be a possible reason for no one doing anything, none of them could over power Russel.
This episode was one of the best for me. There was a lot of needless story lines but that's par for the course with this show. There were very good aspects but then there were meh parts too. It was a better episode. I liked Eric wiping Alcide's memory. That was funny. Pam & Tara were a good part. All the stuff involving The Authority was good. The murder of Sookie & Jason's parents were good. I love Lala but his story line could of been better. As touching as Terry & Arlene were, I feel this could of waited for another time. It was a better episode this week.

I wonder if Bill and Eric's app-stakes worked, I bet not! Seems like a complete covert mutiny led by Salome; B and E were pawns.
on another note. i believe salome believed the same thing as nora. they obviously has some sort of connection. so i think salome knew what was going to happen.
i totally agree with both of you. it was shocking to not see anyone do anything for him but i think its becuz they were all in on it.

@JoseT...GREAT POINT! Maybe it is because they all are in on the deception? I am very interested to hear some sort of explanation from A.Ball now that you have mentioned what appears to be a ridiculous oversight on the show's part.
This was a so so episode for me but what I didnt get was when Russell started to overpower Roman NOBODY DID ANYTHING!....they just stood there watching each other and let russell kill their supposed beloved leader....didn´t get that at all....

@HenriBlanche so bummed to hear you thought the episode was a "yawn," but I did love your comment "Funny how the stars take more than one bullet to die but the extras don't." So hilariously true and well put by you.

I must have seen a different episode than some of you. I thought last night was so boring and dumb. Heartfelt scene between Terry and Arlene? Yawn. And yes, that darn efreet sure looks like the Lost smoke monster. I guess Luna is too good looking to die. I was hoping to trim this all too large cast some and have Sam take the role of a stepfather. Funny how the stars take more than one bullet to die but the extras don't.
Sam and Andy teaming up. Another yawn. Alcide and Rikki? More yawns. Lafayette? I wish this was a yawn but it was just painful instead. Jason discovering why his parents died? Because of Sookie's bandage? Finally a plot point that moves things forward some. Jessica/Pam/Tara/Hoyt... did we learn anything here that we didn't already know?
Seems like this is Sookie's season for one-liners. And as for the Authority plot line? OBVIOUSLY Bill/Eric/Sookie was going to help capture Russell and survive. But who DIDN'T see episodes ago where Salome's true

@Dan TY TY! I totally did mean F.D.R. but in my head was thinking "ask not what your country can do for you..." for some reason. Thank you very much for pointing out my mistake. I have since fixed it. Had myself a Jason Stackhouse moment there..."like if a tree falls in the woods it's still a tree, ain't it?"
Really? The Mighty Authority has been ruling vampires for hundreds of years, and now they are just dropping like flies? How they could they be authority if Roman is such a stupid and weak vampire?

shoutout to O'Hara for using Biggie's debut album title, Ready to Die, for his debut True Blood review! I got you kid. Bottom line, Salome is shady. Did not see that Russell attack on Roman coming. I feel like we are getting answers for a lot of things and for that I am relieved. I love Lafayette so I am disappointed that his storyline just sucks. I also wanna know if the Lfirit is going to tie in with the rest of the storylines. Most of all, I want to know what vampire was in the rain that fateful night with Michelle and Corbett Stackhouse.

@Kevin you could be right re. 11 episodes. He could appear in flashbacks remember. Perhaps he was the vampire on the bridge that rainy night, who killed Sookie and Jason's parents. Or maybe he will come back like Godric has in that spirit/ghost/hologram version like Obi Wan Kenobi, Sam Wheat or Tupac at Coachella.

Sam's has potential as I think it will coincide with Alcide before it's all said and done........
Mixed on Jason's and Sookie's parents.............
Still trying to figure out just what is going on with Pam and Tara.......
Wondering about all these upcoming sex scenes and new romances........
EXTREMELY disappointed Roman has been killed off.........even though I'd read that was going to happen........Hopefully Meloni will go back to L&O:SVU..........
