I think Billith is a demon, with all of Bill's memories and bad character traits, who'll be looking for a host body. [which is why Eric ran the heck out of there with Sookie] You know how Bill has always been 'searching for his humaniteh'? Well, now he'll finally find it in the form of a human--or shifter?-- body he can use and abuse. His plan all along? Next season we'll probably have to watch Sam or someone else we love act out all the horrible things Bill would do with a flesh and blood body, only with super-human powers.
I don't know why anyone is surprised by this turn of events. Bill has always been shown killing powerful women who have some sort of control over him--Sophie-Ann, his maker Lorena, Nan Flanigan, now Salome. He's also serial-killed *powerless* women, like the young techie vampire Molly, the Flapper in Chicago in the 1920's, and the string of prostitute murders in Pam's brothel. He's been a power-hungry murderer the entire series but viewers have paid far too much attention to his self-serving speeches rather than paying attention to his deeds.
I seriously don't understand why you guys are so shocked about Bill drinking the blood. Ever since Lilith appeared to him and told him to drink all of her, I knew he was going to do it! He's gone batshit crazy about this religion thing so I'm not surprised at all.
Billith was a shocker but totally awesome none the less. And so glad the Bill/Sookie train ride is over. Hopefully season 6 will be more Eric/Sookie the way it should be. Nobody touched on the fact that Jason can now see dead people....should be interesting moving forward. Still my fav are the one liners they give to Pam......her delivery of them is hilarious and I find myself repeating them only to make myself crack up even more. Can't wait for season 6....guess we have to wait til june again??? Ugh!!! OH and if I have to see one more naked body I'm going to puke. Unless it's Eric's...his the only one I care to see!
This season had far too many characters and plotlines. It's like Allan Ball is afraid to terminate anyone's contract, so he keeps them all on and gives them minimal screen time that detracts from the character development of the main characters e.g that whole Lafayette possession thing, the "smoke monster', the pregnant faerie.........
To make it short : the Iffrit Terry story far too long and not TB related and also the Obama's killers were unecessary. Too many différent story lines ... I hope the writers concentrate and focus again on main fairy & vampire plots & developments next season 6. Warlow and Billith with Sookie and Eric back again ?? I still wait to see Eric's private high-tech and design home .... As described In the books !
I had mixed feelings on season5 : Tara Turned into a Vamp and all the Back story of Eric and Pam kept me on. All the Authority and Lillith religious plot were not realistic enough for me. I didn't imagine the Authority to be ruled by a little bunch of lunatics from the previous seasons. I thought it was more like CIA Langley. That were you looose me to quote Lafayette !!
I still enjoyed Russell-Newlin new relationship and to see the shift from good to bad from Bill which was predictable from previous season. Hé had to become the new villain
@Leigh i believe that the animal was a bull or something like that
Jason is one of the most interesting characters on the show. Wait. No, Pam is. Hang on a second, maybe it's the good reverend. (By the way, after Russell was killed, where did he take off to?)
Liked the Pam and Tara thing: they were always birds of a feather, with their patent disgust of most people generally. Tara's not a Pollyanna wallflower either. Never has been, and most *certainly* Pam is not. Soul mates (they would disagree and consider anyone who suggested it to be the biggest tool. Guilty as charged.) : )
i can't believe i have to wait 9 months ! it's not pregnancy for God's sake !!
Grade: After watching the bonus scene, i give it a grade " A ". before watching it, i thought it deserved " B ". The scene left us with more teasers and was the only one related to the story of Warlo. Nora knowing Warlo means Eric knows him as well, and logically many other vampires. So now we know that many are involved in the Warlo story: Nora, Eric (maybe also the Authority - or what was known as- ) , many other vampires (Bill unlikely for his youth - if he's still considered a vampire for that matter), fairies and Sookie/Jason. Three sides that are never okay with each other... in the same plot, while it was only obvious in the past episodes that only fairies are involved.
This combined with the final scene really makes it easy for me to say it's an A. I am looking forward to two major plots: that of Warlo and that of Bill, two plots I can't imagine but intertwining in the most interesting ways that True Blood has been famous for.
Favorite scene: had to be Russel dying. Clearly, the writers were fed up with his former invincibility and the very brief time it took for them to take him down really shows how insignificant he has become. I wanted him dead, in Season 3 but better late than never
Andy's kids: there should be some correlation with the Merlotte's menu seeing as they were delivered in the corresponding delivery boxes and covered with the costume lol
Tara and Pam: I always foresaw it and actually mentioned it once in the forum here. It was just evident for me and I was neutral because it was bound to happen .
Bill drinking the blood: Actually, i was too naive and I believed he was really into Salome and wanted to praise her as the chosen one. For me, he was letting go of his mission and the divine order for her sake, and this is consistent for me because I thought he was really into her. It's very intriguing when he reappears, but good lord ! i can't believe i have to wait 9 months ! it's not pregnancy for God's sake !!
