TV Ratings Report: Major Numbers for Major Crimes
TNT enjoyed a very ratings-friendly Monday night.
Nearly 9.1 million fans tuned in to say goodbye to Brenda Leigh Johnson in company, as The Closer finale was that show's highest rated episode of the summer.
Seems like an apt way for the only series in cable history to rank number-one for five straight years to bow out, doesn't it?
Such hefty numbers led to a very strong opening for The Closer spinoff, Major Crimes, which brought in 7.1 million households and became the most-viewed premiere of the summer.

I taped this show because I wanted to watch Grimm on NBC which I just love. This show was OK but I wouldn;t choose it over Grimm
