As long as they can make an interesting show that's cool with me. So far it looks as if they are friends I haven't really seen any Tiva romantic scenes. It just appears a lot of flirting from both sides.
Also agree that Cote does an excellent job. I do hope that she will have other storylines besides the "tiva" stuff though.

HER ACTING GETS WORSE AND WORSE EVERY YEAR, WHY THE HELL DOES SHE YELL ALL OF HER LINES, AND DO THOSE WEIRD SHAKING MOVEMENTS WITH HER BODY, I THOUGH OVERACTING WAS A LESSON IN ACTING FOR BEGINNERS.

Don't have to worry about it this time Michael. Both MW and Cote will be with the show until it goes off of the air.

@Patricia The people who hired her, including DPB, disagree with you.

They have amazing chemistry without even trying. in her first season I thought Ziva and Tony were going to throw each other on the nearest desk and go at it. It has become far deeper and more nuanced over the years, and I would LOVE to see them get together.

There is very little variation in Ziva's line delivery or her facial expressions. She uses her silky voice to flirt, loud and fast delivery for her angry scenes, and her slightly sour smug clipped speech for everything else. Ziva mostly snarls at and berates Tony. What does being a natural beauty have to do with the quality of her affection? She makes the occasional flirt face at Tony, but she does the same thing with all male guest stars. I don't see hot chemistry. I just see two pretty actors. IMO that doesn't equal chemistry.

I think Tony and Ziva have tons of chemistry. She's a natural beauty and there are subtle clues here and there....it's they work together...and a relationship can wreck things...we will see where they take it, it will be fun to wait and see....

Ziva is so very subtle and nuanced that you really have to be sharp to pick up what is going on with her character.

@Janet Hi Janet! Yeah McGee's Mom has never been talked about very much, so it's easy to miss. However, I want make a very important point: Ms DePablo is a CARNEGIE MELLON-trained, Broadway-Seasoned actress, so technically, HER skills actually SURPASS that of at least a few of her co-stars. Cote need NEVER to defend the EXCELLENT chemistry she most certainly DOES have with ALL of her costars - as confirmed in a wonderful article by Mark Harmon himself. I do feel though, that the script she has to follow for the Ziva character sometimes does not accentuate her advanced talents. I think Cote is far, far, more talented & capable than the current writing of her character affords her.

I agree with Scorp that Ziva has little actual chemistry with anyone. The writers go out of their way to give her scenes that cover up her lack of chemistry though. She yells most of her lines and has about 3 facial expressions and does quite a lot of posing rather than acting.. She is pretty though.

Scorp, I agree with Mibel. Cote's Q rating is only slighty less than that of Pauley's, so that means she is highly popular with people watching the show. Again, like Mibel said, if she wasn't that popular or had no chemistry with anybody she would have been gone a long time ago. And having seen pictures of her from this year's ALMA awards, I can only say this: if she's fat, then there are a lot of women who would love to be that fat.
@Scorp are you sure you're watching the same NCIS? Because I have to disagree with you on all accounts. Exactly where is the backup stating the fans have back lashed against her? If anything there are more fans of hers then when Ziva first came on the show. Fat-faced freak? Really? Cote is beautiful, and really who cares if her face has filled out? No chemistry with anyone? You need to re-watch some episodes, because you, are wrong. If there was no chemistry I think Ziva would have gone back to Israel a long time ago.

Cote de Pablo just exudes natural beauty and such a talented actress who is loved by the cast, crew & millions of viewers! I can't imagine anybody else playing Ziva David the way Cote does as Ziva is such an intriguing character, even after all these years. She has such an amazing chemistry with everyone, but especially with Michael Weatherly. This fan is looking forward to seeing Ziva's continued growth and the emotional connection Ziva and Tony make as well in season 10. Bring it on, I'm ready for season 10 and what it has in store for Team Gibbs. :-)

Cote de Pablo is one of the most beautiful & talented actresses on TV today. Ziva David is one of the most interesting characters to come along in a long, long time. She oozes chemistry with the entire cast, but especially with Michael Weatherly.
She is loved by millions of fans, the cast, the crew, the writers @ the powers that be at CBS.
Can't wait to see how her character develops during season 10, from all the spoilers that Gary Glasberg has shared, it looks to be a big season for Ziva & Tiva, and this fan couldn't be happier

It seems the show has sabotaged the Ziva character themselves, made her so unlikeable an untrustworthy that fans backlashed on her, so than wrote her down to a character who is more like a dog doing tricks.....not to mention that they always pair MW with stunningly beatiful women liek Jeanne and Dana and then go and give Ziva an ugly bug like Ray......its like they are purposely trying to make Ziva seem more ugly than she already is by comparing her to beautiful women.

Cote de Pablo sucks! Bottom line! the show would be better off without here, she has noooooooooooooo chemistry with anyone........... she's become sort of fat faced freak who yells everything she says, no substance to her character what so ever.....

Oh, and for the record Michael, NCIS averaged 19.6 million viewers last season and 19.3 for Season 8. So they still seem to be drawing viewers long after Season's 6 and 7.

Finally, in interviews that he gave not long after de Pablo joined the show, DPB admitted that one of the reasons why she was hired was because of the fantastic chemistry she had with MW. Which, he said, would come in handy down the road, which would seem to indicate his intention at pairing them up at some point. Indeed, in the interview and commentary section on the Season 4 DVD, he comments on one of the developments of that season, the strong feelings that Ziva is developing for Tony.
You can dismiss anything that contradicts what you say as "lies" Michael, but considering the fantasy world you live in, I'll take that as a compliment.

First of all Michael, if you are going to refer to ratings, refer to up to date ratings. CSI hasn't had 21 million viewers per episode in a long, long time. Fact is, they are staring cancellation in the face. Miami is gone, NY is lucky to still be here. It and the mother ship may be gone after this season.
Secondly, if you go back and take a look at the interview section on the NCIS Season 1 DVD, you will see where DPB voices his observations on and fascination with the fact that so many real life NCIS agents are in relationships with each other. And he said that was something he determined there and then that he was going to address at some point along the way.
