cont. to her after she realized Brandeis wasn't guilty, and N rescuing J again, and their convo at the end (although not the part of J obsesing over him at the end). The final CB scene because they are still together and strong at that point.

3x17 Inglorius Basstards: I have to admit it really had a dramatic and intense pace from beginning to end and from that POV some may like it, but if that's not the only important thing for you they you can't like it. It starts ok with the planning of Nate's birthday, but soon goes to the bucket with Chuck visiting Jack and you can tell Jack is not going to ask for something little. SB convo at the store would have been good had it not been for Jack showing up after S left. The CB convo when she arrives from shopping would have been good it's not for the whole thing looming over them. NJ scenes would have been great if not for the creepyness of J trying to woo N and Eric knowing something's going on. DV scenes have yet another problem they

cont. The Dan and Vanessa problem wasn't so great until the moment Dan had finally decided to be big brother to J and stopped when V appeared in the place, with the music going crazy and their crazy underwear convo. N tried to fill the big brother place but it actually created a great NJ moment (they both looked great btw), later turned more dramatic by Damien showing up and punching N.

3x16 The Empire Strikes Jack: here begins a group of episode so bad one or another, that some parts I only saw them once or twice and could never watch them again. Of this episode, the best things was the whole akwardness of NV revealing their relationship to the rest and their convos with NS and Rufus present (Vanessa looked good in those scenes), Chuck looking great, the first CB scene (although Blair's outfit was very crazy) the whole NJBC meeting at the bar, NS concern over Chuck to the point where they tried to hatch a plan (even though it failed), Brandeis appearing and when Blair apologized

3x15 The 16 year old virgin: the beginning could have been better if they have put Chuck and Blair sexy time like they put NS and DV, what made it ok was the Jenny part paired with the music. Chuck and Blair first convo was an endearing moment in a way when she conforted him. They both looked great through the episode, while walking in the stree with Elizabeth, in the hotel in the Jack confrontation scene (one of the best, btw), and at the party and afterwards in the penthouse at the end of the episode. As for NS, although Serena's plan was crazy, it provided a serious scene with J, funny ones of J and N, and a very interesting one of SB with Nate on the phone that didn't end up good for him. However Serena's dress at the party was not so great, but what Nate told her about their first time together was great. Lily and Chuck scene was also one of the best, as well as Rufus stepping up for Lily when Jack spoke to her. The Dan and Vanessa problem wasn't so great until the moment Da

cont. The brief moment of Chuck and Blair pre sex interaction felt too short in many viewer's opinion. Their convo in bed aftewards also felt kinda short. Elizabeth's story about what happened was so bad that even today it feels too little. S revealing N the truth about her search for her father was a good thing though, and the final sequence was good too, with S leaving that voice mail with N by her side, the C and B last interaction and later his interaction with Elizabeth, and the music.

3x14 The Lady Vanished: The opening scene with NS has been controversial, some say they were all about sex, some like the couple, I think the problem was that with this couple and some others GG has been more explicit than with CB, for example. Blair feigning an orgasm btw, hilarious as well as the part that followed with S and N. Between that, the SB convo was sincere. Chuck playing detective could have been done better. The NJBC convo afterwards when C reveals the Elizabeth thing was interesting as well as informative. S reactions after that drive a good deal of that episode. The CB conversation in the bar was endearing, and it even continued with the part when S and N arrive. The NJBC lunch at the restaurant however, was dampered by the fact that it was S scheming to get a meeting between Chuck and Elizabeth. Thefore the scenes after Elizabeth shows up are more dramatic and kinda sad. The brief moment of Chuck and Blair pre sex interaction felt too short in many viewer's op

cont. The whole Anna Karenina part between C and B was good but it could have been better, at least it provided a fun NB moment. Jenny interacting with Damien, you kinda feel bad for her because you could tell it was a smart girl interested in a guy that either wasn't taking her so seriously or wasn't convinced he should pursue something with her. The part of the Embassy thing, when S, N, J and Damien all arrive, that was good. Nate being jealous was amusing. Serena looked really good, Jenny didn't look too bad. J speaking with N was a good moment. The SB interaction was good. The NS scene in the coat check room was good, it might had been better but it wasn't bad, later on when they left the party it was amusing. Jenny saving Damien's day earned her his respect. Chuck and Blair both looked amazing, their scene outside the embassy was endearing, later with Elizabet it was interesting and later on in the Empire, their best scene in the episode.

cont. Nate punching Tripp and Maureen not even phased about it was a highlight. The SB scene, you can see they care about each other. The famous Chuck and Blair scene, one of the best between them, everything was spot on. Jenny and Eric reconcialition was nice. Dan telling V about his feelings was good. The final secuences were good and the music was superb, Damien scene with Jenny was a good twist there. The final scene provided a good clifthanger but I think we could all tell it was only signaling future problems.

3x13 The Hurt Locket: The opening scene with the SB phone conversation was good, they both looked good. S finding Damien in the street was a good twist, I guess that he telling the story of her time in boarding school was beeing planned ever since that scene? Blair finding the locket and later telling Chuck about it was a good scene. The NS first scene was a bit random but at least they both looked good.

cont. Serena with Tripp in the country house, ironically Serena looked good, Tripp not so much (his outfit was kinda cliche) but his scene with Maureen was really good, and she really did look good, her scenes were good ones, the one with S for example. Serena calling Nate was also good, the dialogue was good. Before that, N talking with Dan about the Vanessa situation was hillarious and lighten up the mood, that whole part of Dan was the comic portion of the first part. Jenny with Eric and the bag drama was good, it's a shame it ended up there. Chuck's scenes with his allucination were really dramatic and his interaction with Blair afterwards was too. Chuck and Lily scene was a good one too. The whole Serena leaving the country house and later on in the car with Tripp increased the momentum until the car crash, the wolfes thing was unrealistic but the crash itself and afterward with Tripp's reaction, Nate arriving and when everybody find out was well done. Nate punching Tripp a

cont. They all looked amazing in this episode. How Blair and Eleanor figure out who is pregnant and later drag Dorota to the lobby. The part when S discovers the letter in the safe. When she confronts Lily about it. When Nate asks Serena not to leave, and later on when Chuck, Blair and Eleanor are leaving and Chuck spotes Nate.

3x12 The Debarted: this was probably the last truly good episode of the season from beginning to end. Lily searching her closet while trying to hide everything from Rufus and making comments about Serena. Blair looking amazing while trying to confort Chuck and how he was trying to blew off what that day was about. All their scenes were good. Chuck allucinating was confusing but it makes more sense now than ever.

3x11 The Treasure of Serena Madre: it was a solid episode, and the last good Thanksgiving episode. It started interestingly, with Chuck and Blair and later with C, B and S scenes. The NS scenes were also good. The Chuck and Nate scene by the pool table was a good one (all of their scenes were good). The interaction between C, B and Eleanor before arriving to the VDW place was of the few ones we have seen of the 3 of them together. Cece arriving at the VDW golden as always. The arrivals to the Thanksgiving in fact were funny, specially C and B and what C told Serena and Tripp. The whole Thanksgiving party was amazing, Jenny dragging Blair to one side, Nate telling Maureen about the video, Blair acting crazy about Eleanor's possible pregnancy, Vanessa weirded out by Dan's stares, when Maureen confronted S and Trip, Chuck talking to Nate, Lily arriving at that moment, Rufus trying to tell his story and the whole chain of S leaving the table, later B, later J and later V. They all

  11. pty

cont. lacked more interactions between them. All of Jenny scenes were interesting and/or good, the ones with Damien were getting better along the episode and the one of them with Chuck was one of Chuck's best. This episode had a more brotherly vibe between C and J than 3x4 although it wasn't complete. Nate was superb in this episode, trying the help Serena and also Dan on the phone, all his interactions with Serena, even confessing his season 1 feelings, too bad Serena didn't choose right at the end. Vanessa and Olivia first convo in their dorm room was good. The whole thing of the Tisch play was hilarious, and Blair scenes with Dan, Olivia and Vanessa, together or apart, were incredibly funny. Dan singing was also funny, more considering it was a Lady Gaga song. Olivia's realization about DV at the end was compelling, you could tell Hillary Duff improved her acting along the episode, just compare 3x4 or 3x6 with 3x10. Lady Gaga's appearance was also a highlight.

cont. Blair trying to prepare the new girl was a funny moment, as well the moment when Eric showed up with the girl's scort. The cotillion scenes were interesting, seeing the girls drooling over Nate, the NJ interaction, Blair and Eric convo, how Jenny was taken down, how she called Nate and got her introduction, how everybody was impressed, etc. The SB convo in the elevator with Chuck's voice in off was a great moment for them, later when they congratulated Jenny it also felt correct. But Jenny being mean with Eric and the new girl wasn't so great, nor Serena still flirting with Tripp and ditching Blair. And Dan skipping the Cotillion also felt wrong since it was his sister there.

3x10 The Last Days of Disco Stick: This wasn't as good overall but it had amazing moments. Dan famously giving high fives, later his convo with Nate and Nate's lines about the threesome, their akward run-in with Vanessa. The Blair and Chuck convo was good, the problem was that this kind of episode l

  13. pty

cont. The whole Olivia, Dan and Vanessa thing was ok until the threesome, that ruined it, maybe it was worst because of the hype prior to the episode, they weren't the characters people wanted to see in that sceneario. Besides, the Chuck and Blair scenes at the beginning were great. Jenny going to the rehearsals was a great scene, it was very well acted. Later when Eric helps her in the dance that was a good scene too. The SB interactions at dinner later that day were good drama, Serena looked great in her outfit, Jenny looked good and with her own style, Blair was pretty, the interactions between the 3 were great too, and the introduction of the new girl was bittersweet, although seeing Blair and Eric decide to take down Jenny was good. Serena and Tripp scene was sorta ok. The next day, the Blair, Chuck and Nate scene was memorable and rather informative of the time S was at boarding school. S deciding to quit the campaign gave hope for a moment. Blair trying to prepare the n

cont. This was also the first episode that gave the vibe of Serena against the world that we got more frequently in season 5. Even though she was good with Dan, she ended up having confrontations with Nate, Blair and Chuck to a degree, although at least this latest confrontation felt more like an advice. Even though Serena pushing Blair on the cake was good drama, their whole fight felt so out of proportion. However it provided for Serena getting rid of Patrick and a job she no longer was happy with, and one of the best CB moments. Maureen's revelation was an OMG moment. In fact the final sequences were also great here, even the Tripp and Serena scene because you could tell it spelled trouble, also the music help a lot.

3x9 They shoot Humphrey's, don't they?: this title is famous because afterwards many people wanted this to actually happen.

  15. pty

cont. Also, the part where Dan and Nate watch Olivia's movie, that was incredibly funny too. Also great, the moment Chuck gave the dress to Blair, and before that, Dorota's presence.

3x8 The Grandfather Part II: another great title. Great opening scenes. Conversations between Chuck and Nate and their interactions with the Van der Bits were great. Vanessa trailing Tripp and Maureen and later the whole Hudson heroe thing gets interesting when the plot advances. Nate really shined in this one, he looked great, all his interactions were spot on, with his Grandfather, cousin, with Vanessa, speaking to the audience, etc. The whole deal of Serena dealling with Patrick was funny too. Olivia trying to protect Dan by hiding the her interview at Jimmy Fallon's show was cute, as well as their convo with Serena at the beginning and their presence at the VDW playing board games with the family, including a sickly Jenny that tried to help Olivia. This was also the first episode that gave

  16. pty

cont. but it provided good dramatic moments, specially at the end when she throwed her things. The interaction between Dan, Serena and Olivia in the loft was sweet and ever bittersweet for DS. The Halloween party scenes were amazing, the 3 boys looked great, the girls looked good too, J and E too, the brief NS convo felt relevant. Blair speaking with Dorota while playing chess was good, and when she later showed up at the party and spoke with Chuck, one of their best scenes. The way the party ended and S, D, Olivia, Chuck and Blair acted was amazing. The CB convo and later with Horace were good scenes. The final sequences in the episode were really great too.

  17. pty

cont. their interactions with PJ Buckley, the way they leave the place. But watching how S finds out the truth, fights with N and later still looses Carter wasn't easy. Dan and Olivia were sorta cute. But the whole alumni thing was a mess, and nobody turn out ok, not Vanessa, her mother, Chuck and Blair, nor Olivia in part. Next day things were equally bad and although there is a kinda "Dallas" vibe at the end (thanks in part to the music) it was a sad end.

3x7 How to Succeed in Bassness: this was a better episode, even if started rather bumppy, with Chuck and Blair still reeling from the previous one, the whole thing of Blair at Serena's work and when Chuck calls Serena to hire her. But after we see Nate visit Chuck at Gimlet (and we see Horace again), it starts to get better, despite another fight between Blair and this time Serena and Chuck. Jenny being Queen and her whole arc with Eric and Jonathan was also good, even though it ended rather bad for her, but it provided goo

3x6 Enough about Eve: this wasn't a really good episode. Of the few good things in it, we got to see Vanessa's mother Gabriela which helped to know more about Vanessa's background and also helped explain part of her behaviour. But her bickering with Blair wasn't really nice to see, the pettiness among them involved a lot of resentment and sometimes it was just unpleasant. However the initial dream sequence was good (in part also because of the way the 3 of them were dressed) and the scene after Blair wakes up when Chuck conforts her. Blair asking his help on the phone and later their convo in the bar felt ok but when we later know the truth behind all it felts wrong, although when she speaks with C after that, the scene itself is great. Part of the Nate and Serena thing was also a hightlight, starting when she goes to see him in the campaign center and we know what he's doing, how good they both look there and walking in the street, the way they arrive to the gaming place, their i

cont. Certain aspects of the wedding preparations were good, others not so much. Georgina schemming was still good in those days, the way she blackmailed V, fooled Dan (which caused great DV interactions, specially when V told D she wasn't in love with him), when G met Scott, and her revelation at the wedding. Scott scene with Rufus and Lily in the bus station was moving. Carter confessing everything to Serena was good. Georgina being fooled at the end was good. The actual wedding scene in the loft was great, and the moments afterwards too, Scott speaking with his siblings, Chuck telling Serena about Carter and the Buckleys, Nate calling off Bree, the dancing, etc.

  20. pty

cont. Jenny being Queen also felt subpar and I think it had to do with her extreme looks and the fact that at the end she sorta caved to the old system. Tyra Banks role here felt extreme but it provided for good Serena scenes. Lily finally showed up and looked good but her feud with Serena didn't felt ok. Dan and Olivia scenes were ok and Olivia and Vanessa scenes were good.

3x5 Rufus getting married: this was also a very good and complete episode. The first round of scenes was great (like many, wishing that the CB scene had been longer). The Carter and Serena conversation was one of the best ever, again they showed this couple potential. The whole brunch scene was great, the 4 actors were really on their top game there. All Chuck and Blair scenes were good, the massage, their conversations at the wedding, gestures, looks, etc. Chuck and Carter scene was great, their rivalry was one of the most entertaining things in GG (and we never knew there was tension prior to 1x4). Ce

cont. Nate and Bree was of no consecuence except at the end when Bree talked with Carter.

3x4 Dan of Fleurette: this wasn't a great episode but it had entertaining moments. The Twilight veiled references weren't that great in this and following episodes but it was funny to know Dan didn't know Olivia, specially the part where Nate witnessed their first encounter and could barely contain laughter (Nate looked good in that scene, unlike in some of the 3 previous episodes). K.C. first appeared and she was always a force onscreen, and it was funny when she first met Serena and believed she was like a star whisperer. Chuck and Blair first convo on the phone was good, specially how it began, and later when he came to visit her to her house, but the whole Jenny thing, should had felt like there was a brotherly vibe between C and J and yet there wasn't much of that, which made it icky and it now seems like a premonition of how things were going to turn out at the end. Jenny being Queen

3x3 The Lost Boys: One of the best episodes in season 3. The beginning with Dan, Georgina and Blair and later Dan, Serena and Vanessa was good but in light of what we know now it has lost a bit of what it had. All Blair and Chuck scenes amazing, this is the CB relationship people wanted to see in season 3, but only this episode fully provided it. Dan and Serena convo in the street was good, later on when is Carter and Serena it was also good, in a way this is the episode that really made Serena and Carter a believable couple despite the trusth issues. The whole Scott thing wasn't that great, but it was good to see it was finally being revealed part of what was going on. Georgina blackmailing V and trying to hold onto Dan was entertaining. The auction in overall was good, specially the bidding that S won to C and B, she was badass there. Chuck looked great through the episode yet Blair could have used a better stylist specially in the auction. Nate and Bree was of no consecuence

  23. pty

cont. Also, Blair going to Dan for help would have been great (because their scenes weren't really bad) if it hadn't been for all that has happened later, which has taken luster from them. It doesn't help for Dan's current image that in those days Georgina developed an up to the minute crush on him. Dan becomming a lider at the party could have been great if it hadn't left B all hurt. Meanwhile Serena teaming up with Carter without his own knowledge to take down Chuck also felt kinda forced and plain mean. The next day things look up with the SB scene, Serena accepting to date Carter, and Blair going to see Chuck and their amazing interaction.

  24. pty

cont. acted by the actors, everybody noticde it (luckily it hasn't happen again). The scene saving those last parts was learning that Serena was working with a photog and why she was doing all this.

3x2 The Freshmen: the opening scenes were good, specially Blair and Dorota and later Blair and Chuck (that's what we wanted to see). But Georgina being there never made it for me, although it did provided great lines such as the ones between B and G on their college room after Blair learns G is her roommate, the scene of Blair being left out by the other students, the B and G scene next day on the stree. Meanwhile, the S and C scenes started great with Serena showing up at Chuck's place for help and the whole convo about Brown and his business plans. But later on when S accidentally ruins things that whole thing goes south and very vengeful, specially on S part, even after a great breakfast convo with Dan. Also, Blair going to Dan for help would have been great (because their scenes

  25. pty

cont. place (if only for the way they were looking at each other) and later outside of the modeling agency. Also, the phone convo between C and N about the Ferrari (nice car). The polo match was uneven. Scott trying to talk with Rufus could have been more moving but at least it kinda was. Jenny enthusiasm for being there when talking with Eric was sweet. Nate confronting his grandfather would have been great had not involved Bree, but learing about her later was informative for the plot. Chuck and Blair looked bored, though, and the game thing wasn't improving things. Although Dan working with Blair to get rid of Carter had some potential and it was remminiscense of 1x18, it was cut short by Serena on the horse, which was awesome in itself. Great moment too her scene with Carter. But after that the episode kinda went down, and even the CB moments could have been better (except for the "I'm not Chuck Bass without you" which was awesome), but their role playing kiss was so acted
