The CW's official synopsis for the Gossip Girl Season 6 premiere has been released, and it confirms what we've pretty much pieced together at this point: Chuck and Blair are back together ... yet not.

Dan is apparently about to drop bombs in his new book, while Nate prepares to take on Gossip Girl, and Serena is MIA, leading the Upper East Siders to track her down (see season premiere photos).

Here's what the press release for "Gone Maybe Gone" teases:

• After a brief encounter abroad, Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) make a promise to each other about their relationship, which leaves them once again apart.
• Dan (Penn Badgley), with some help from an unlikely ally, Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg), is writing a scathing tell-all book that can only mean trouble.
• As the sole head of The Spectator, Nate (Chace Crawford) is making his own decisions and is ready to go up against Gossip Girl.
• As word spreads that Serena (Blake Lively) is missing, the gang bands together to find her and are shocked by what they find.

Interestingly, no mention of Rufus sleeping with anyone.

Robert John Burke, Barry Watson, Andrea Gabriel, and Sofia Black-D’Elia guest star in the episode directed by Mark Piznarski and written by executive producers Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz.
